Big Baits Catch Big Fish at Night
Fishing with the conger gear last night and caught a big pollack on a full mackerel head. Fishing until midnight and lost a beast of a conger in the darkness.

Yeah it's just as nice. I remove the skin only because it is quicker than de scaling

What's the biggest Pollock you've had on this gear? I'm wondering if I can get them in weedy marks with similar tackle
I think around the 3 pound mark. It can get very difficult though and if you're given the option then a heavier 7 - 15g rod will be better

This reminds me of the mini crawdads traps we used to use in the crick. Old two liter bottle, cut the sloped top off, turn it around and insert it into the bottle (held with friction, not glue) and put cat/dog food (wet not dry) down the "funnel" into the bottle. Submerge and tie down. We used to catch SO many crawdads that way.
Sounds like fun. I've tried bottle traps for small fish and they work so well too

What size hook do you recommend for wrasse
Size 6 are best as you can usually catch the smallest wrasse and biggest wrasse,, but anywhere from size 8 to size 1/0 will work
What peir would you recommend bud. Just started fishing with my son. only peir I've been so far is hometown bangor.
Donaghadee is a fantastic pier for fishing all kinds of species, best to fish at high tide late in the day or at night. Carrickfergus will also be good in a few weeks for mackerel, also worth fishing on high tides. Good luck

Exactly what I was looking for! How to actually f-i-s-h the mackerel. On a pier. Sabiki + 1-3oz lead. Too short spinning rod. Bad wind noize. no pretty scenery. Authentic!
I was 12 years old at the time of the video. Ive become a better fisherman since. I will make a better and more detailed video this upcoming summer so stay tuned

What no melted butter and coriander i recomend lots of butter lastly in the sauce and lots of fine chopped coriander and shallots first coriander and capers last and mix in the cooked crab and lid on simmer for about 5 minutes giving a stir halfway through linguini is best for this dish slightly al dentai remember lots of butter TC from Marcus 🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🍝

yeah they can really damage fish
@@GuillaumesFishing its better for fishermen to, quick flick and its released, i changed all my sea-trout lures to singles this year and singled out all my mepps lures, if i loose a few fish so be it but at least i know ive more or less cut out deep hooked fatalities with fish
