1 minute or less Re-Beading a 35” Tire with only starter fluid and a lighter.
We found ourselves in a precarious situation, where the bead on the tire popped when we were out snow wheeling. The spare was not working, so we had to bring the tire into town, and get some starter fluid in order to try this. This was our first attempt ever trying this technique, and had only seen it done on other videos. This could possibly save your life if you run Into this issue in the middle of nowhere. I saw this Yellow Jacket land on my driveway, so I got up close and video'd it. The Yellow Jacket rips the Crane Fly in half and fly's off with the lower half leaving the insect to squirm around until its final demise.

Any updates after going through the winter? I'm in Portland but get up to mount hood a lot during winter/spring and was looking at a 2015 Genesis 3.8 AWD like you have. Looks like acceleration and braking are pretty safe in the snow but I'd be interested in any more info you might have.
I ended up buying some Nokian studless snow tires, and that was a pretty big game changer. The car does really good in the snow. We got about 2 feet of snow in march, and she did excellent. I would recommend it for snow driving conditions. There are some issues with the panoramic sunroofs apparently, Mine has had a pretty bad squeak that hasn’t been fixed so watch for that. Other than that, its an awesome car!

Thanks for posting, as I am in the same situation as you were. Will be picking up my "new" 2015 3.8 AWD Genesis this week. Like you, found little literature on the snow mode and driver responses. Just don't snow while I'm driving the vehicle 80 miles home. 😁
I think you've made a good decision. I bought my "new" 2015 3.8 RWD (I'm in Texas) a couple of months ago and am very pleased with it. Plus, for the price I paid for mine (about $24K out the door with all accessory packages and 39K miles) I think this might be as good a bargain as one can get on a really, really nice car. I hope you enjoy yours.
