He quickly scanned before receiving the ball that xabi was coming to press since it was a over the top ball and most players even with good control lose possession in those areas. After scanning he picked up his side and controlled the ball accordingly and then performed his famous "la pelopina". These small things don't give you statistics to show off but is vital for a team's success. He and Iniesta deserved individual accolades.
