Primordial's Alan Nemthamga Averill on 'Exile Amongst The Ruins' - MI Podcast #45
มุมมอง 1.5K6 ปีที่แล้ว
For a band used to rave reviews, this one's been contentious. 'Exile Amongst The Ruins' has opened up a new chapter for Primordial. They did what they had to do: they changed their sound. Evolved. It's had the Metalireland.com forum divided. But veteran vocalist Alan Averill is - as you'd expect - unapologetic. As ever, the MI podcast is a great chat and a deep dive. Do leave us a review on iTu...

    Hot take: Type o Negative is not metal. Fucking great band, my favorite band since I heard them 25 years ago (proud to say I was in the top 1% of their listeners on Spotify this year), but I don't think they're a metal band.

    • @molletre9606
      @molletre9606 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not a hot take, I agree with you. And I am sure Peter would have laughed if you call Type o a Metal band. First and foremost they were a pure rock band, just with very dark/gothic themes. Peter loved Sabbath and much more the Beatles, which may sound strange. Thats were Type o came from.

      They toured with the metal bands in the 90s, they were part of the original OzzFest with Sabbath and Pantera, they were on RoadRunner records which is for metal bands. I say they're metal, but I get what you are saying.....
