Hi I'm planning to visit next month (mid December) - did you guys wear snow boots for the hike up Togakushi?
@@AdelokeLH we would definitely recommended snow boots as the route can be slippery! this year, winter seems to have been a little delayed in Japan so there may not be much snow accumulation there in mid-December. But it’s worth bringing them just in case :)
@@littlewanderlings I see! Thanks. Do you think it's necessary to bring crampons?
it’s good to have crampons if you are planning to hike all the way to the main shrine, instead of taking the bus there!
@@littlewanderlings Thank you! It's good to know
such a lovely video - i absolutely love the cinematic shots and the colour grading! i'm heading to nagano this december, was wondering if you would recommend driving in nagano? or was public transport convenient enough?
Thank you! 😄😄 We would recommend driving if you are confident, since public transport there can take a long time due to longer intervals
This is sooo cute 💛💛💛
Thanks for watching!!
Welcome to korea ~^^ and I hope you next travel to korea~~😅😅😅
We loved Korea! Will definitely be back soon 😊😊
Great Video! I want to ask, where is the beach you guys went to after leaving the station? I cant seem to find it no matter what i search!
We went to Haeundae beach in Busan :))

Hi, what costume are wearing in November ? Heattech + sweater + down jacket - 3 layer? is it cold in seoul & busan on November?
Yes, that’s pretty much it - 3 layers! But I would recommend the ultrawarm heattech. It’s quite chilly in November (around <10 degrees c), but it often felt colder than the forecast since the winds can be freezing 🥶
Is 7 days covering both Seoul and Busan rushing?
@@Stanleychris1982 7 days should be enough if want to see most of the main highlights of both! But from our experience we hoped to have spent a little longer in Busan, maybe 4 days instead of 3. Seoul is so vast with so many things to see and do, so we would recommend a week in Seoul if you want to dive abit deeper!
Hi, Nic and Cat! Watched your HK vlog and found this Hiroshima one. Gorgeous shots - Itsukushima at sunset was 😍 it was raining when we went so it was a different vibe ☔ Anyway, love the format so I subbed! Looking forward to more 🎉

Cool..can i ask how you do it at the lantern day to night transition? Is it masking on the lantern area when they were lighten up? Then scale down exposure on other area to looks like at night time?

Hi, if you were to choose between togakushi shrine and monkey park, which one will you visit again? I can only visit one so appreciate your help please. Would love to see picturesque snowy view. Thank you!
@@HL00403 I would say both offer very unique experiences, but in my opinion seeing the snow monkeys in the hot springs was much more magical. Something about it is very mesmerising 😆 Togakushi Shrine is really beautiful but there are plenty of other shrines that look just as amazing too especially in the winter (and it is much harder to get to the cedar tree walkway) For the best chance of snow, I think you have to come around mid-January.
@@littlewanderlings Thank you so much!!! Really appreciate your response!

Hello! Wondering if this was during the first or second week of December? Will be going there and I do not have any idea on how cold it could be :) Thanks!
We went during the first week of December :) the temperature was around 0-5 degrees for most of our trip as we had fairly good weather, though it is possible to get even colder depending on the weather conditions for the day.
Beautiful clips! Very blessed weather
@@Crystals13579 Thank you! Yes, we were fortunate that it snowed! I remember checking the forecast a few days before we landed and was expecting it to be clear without any snow at all.
Hello, what month did you guys go?
@@merimaria08 We went end of November to beginning of December :)
Hi! Love the shots 😍 so beautiful. I have a question, is it possible to do a day trip from Tokyo to Nagano if we are to go to Snow Monkey Park and Togakushi Shrine? Thank you
Thank you so much for the kind comment 😊 It is definitely possible to take a day trip to both, but the buses from Nagano Station to both these locations don’t run very frequently so I would not recommend it since these locations take a long while to get to using both public transportation and on foot (Snow Monkey Park involves some hiking). Perhaps you could stay a night in Nagano and take day trips to each of these places separately!
@@littlewanderlings Thank you for answering my query. Looking forward to more of your videos!

Hi, what is the temperature during your visit, does it drops to negative degree and how do you keep warm?
@@sharonng9928 it was quite chilly during our time there (about -5 to 10 celcius) but as long as the weather is not cloudy it should be above 0 for most of the daytime. Layers are super important when dressing for the cold, plus having a thick outer jacket is essential. We wore about 2-3 layers underneath the jacket :)
@@sharonng9928 I would also recommend the heat tech innerwear (ultra warm) from uniqlo, often went with just 2 inner layers and it was more than sufficient!
@@littlewanderlingsthanks for the recommendation🙏👍
Hello Nicholas, for the Kusatsu to Hiroshima part, you had to come back to Tokyo to take Shinkansen to Hiroshima? Trying to do your same itinerary :) Thx
@@fiorella3470 yes, our route involved going back to Tokyo before taking the shinkansen to Hiroshima. Do note that it’s going to be a pretty long travel day (around 7 hours) so be sure to schedule time between trains for meals/breaks :)
New subscriber here :) , did you remember how long was the ride from Matsumoto to Kusatsu? thx
Hii thanks for subscribing!! The ride was about 5 hours in total, as we had to change trains a few times (Matsumoto - Nagano - <Takasaki - Naganoharakusatsuguchi (via Kusatsu Shima limited express train)> - Kusatsu Onsen Bus Terminal (by bus). This is a pretty long route and is not optimal, though we did this to be covered under the JR Pass.
