There is a saying. Be about it. Don't talk about it! OpenAI has publicly delivered time after time. Delivered cutting edge products that users like and are willing to pay for! Google has barely done anything lately since Deep Mind mastered Go. Google has not went all in on AI because they know that it will cannibalize their various income streams. Mainly search and the related ad revenue. They are now trying to tack AI on top of all their old services in a desperate bid to stay relevant. While buisnesses very well may like what Google is doing. The much broader market is going to yawn and not blink an eye. Google is in a dangerous position of damned if they do, damned if they don't. So far all their offerings are them trying to walk the razors edge. Which is developing, and sometimes releasing, AI products that don't kill the golden goose while trying to stay relevant. But they are not staying relevant at all. OpenAI has finally done what no other company has been able to do. Take a big chunk out of their core search market. Google is running scared. Red alert This video is ludicrous with the claims that it makes.

All these robots are pretty much useless until they have AI under the hood. They still all rely on rigid pre programmed procedures for the most part. And for applications where repeatable actions in an unchanging environment are needed its better to just use robotic arms. For These semi accurate but more dynamic humanoid robots to be useful it needs to be able to account for its inaccuracies when carrying out a task, it also needs to be able to map the task to a new environment on its own. I mean the best case would also be not even having to pre train tasks at all. But i think we are still a ways out from this maybe in 5 years.

It's cool. However we have no idea how it's ai capabilities will do. It does not seem like a focus for this robot at all. The Tesla bot's focus is ai, not the physical capabilities. So I'm not so sure how/why you compare those? Yes it should have some ai capabilities however to what extent, I highly doubt it comes anywhere near the Tesla bot. And 16k for the bot itself, I'm sure ai will have some subscription costs.
