Q: Why did you use this character for this cover?
A: Mr. L and Miles.EPS are both characters who appeared in EXE games, in which both are murdered and eventually return as a vengeful spirit. Both of them caused havoc into their worlds and killed the main protagonist.
*Checking up on his missing friends, Pico is pulled into X's world and is met with a mysterious Tails.*
*After being killed by his own father, Blaire's vengeful spirit sucked into the cartridge of Sonic 3 and Knuckles and manifest onto Tails. With his new powers and abilities, he wrecks havoc on Angel Island and killed Sonic, Knuckles and Robotnik. After he killed the trio, he plans on giving you the same treatment to free himself from the game.*

Miles.EPS, real name Blair Fuarson, is an EXE by tucann. The soul of a child who was murdered by their criminal father, they haunt the copy of Sonic 3 & Knuckles in order to get revenge for the abuse they faced over the years. Unfortunately, it just so happens that a random player had become caught in the crossfire.
