Mountain Lake has several easy to catch fish to level up. When exhausted you can eat to restore energy, some foods are better than others. build a chest to keep one or two of everything you grow, forage, or catch to fill quests, get at least two cauliflower in the ground before mid spring. They take half a season to grow and you will be asked for some. you can chop down the trees with a starter axe, it just takes persistence and a lot of energy. watch your TV for recipes, tips, and your daily luck. And paying attention to the characters will clue you in to what they like for gifts in some cases. For example, Shane hangs out at the pub, he likes beer, coffee, and pizza. At festivals he will comment on spicy food and in the summer you can grow hot peppers. They will also begin to talk about their friend's and family's likes and dislikes.

also you can talk to people more than ince to get a feel for them. Make friends with everyone. Some are friendlier than other but the standoffish ones have great stories once they start to open up to you.

I don't know how it got inverted but consider it a warning that your life is about to be turned upside down. It's amazing how fast this consumes you. I have been playing less than a year and already have 3 fanfictions and even more saved files.

Man amazing this game came out 2001 ... I mean, it feels more like a late 2000s/early 2010s game, you know? But then I guess that was round about the time I saw this game pretty much everywhere. xD
