And this is why I prefer to have fun making up my own alternative universe with Sonic, Sonic 06 mostly, besides the fact that it's simply fun, the official canon is really starting to become as convoluted and outright the antithesis of fun to follow as the one of the whole Kingdom Hearts series!

I really loved Sonic Prime up until Season 3. I feel like the problem with Season 3 was that it went on for too long and started to feel repetitive in some ways. In fact I didn’t even watch the last episode of the series yet. Like, the third season has some really good stuff in it, but I found it very flawed. On the other hand, I loved the first two seasons of the show. Shadow was the MVP! (Side note) If you view Sonic Prime as its own thing apart from the mainline Sonic games, it’s an absolute blast! But I feel like if you view it as a huge part of the Sonic timeline, you will be very confused and pretty disappointed I feel like. My score for Sonic Prime is an 8.5/10

All I'm getting from this is that Sega once again looks like a clusterf**k of issues under the surface.... It's like they never learned from WHY they dropped out of the console market...

It's simple. Ian Flynn isn't the creator of Sonic. Sega make mistakes when it comes to Sonic lore and canon. Just take Sonic Prime as its own universe just like Sonic Boom was separated entirely too.

Prime was a nothingburger. And Flynn is one of the worst things to ever happen to Sonic as a franchise.

The series is just not good. It was originally going to be about Sonic being separated from his friends in some sort of multiverse. We find ourselves with the main cast dressed as rebels, pirates and prehistoric men. Black rose is just Amy in pirate clothes, same for Sails. Gnarly is just Knux with a green hat and shoes. No originality apart from certain ones like Rusty or Nine. All alternate forms of Rouge except Rebel stink. Prim is bland and Batten serves no purpose except shooting cannonballs. The casting is poorly chosen: Big and Rouge are of no use to the series. Placing Rouge with Shadow to try to help Sonic fix his stupidity would have been a thousand times better than just placing her there to talk about jewelry and nothing else. We could thus have had a spy and fighter Rouge rather than a very bland one who is only there to add a female character in the series. Big? He super forgettable. Sonic is terrible, even Boom has a much better personality. Chao's council was supposed to be the big bad guys in this series. However, Nine managed not only to humiliate the Council, but also to be a much better opponent. Finally, this series is inferior to anything we have had so far. The whole series is an unfunny joke from start to finish, you just have to look at "Sonic's Sacrifice" to see that nothing is taken seriously.

Yes, i would like it 100% to be like non canon, so it would separate from the main line canon.

It takes place after Sonic Advance 3 yet characters like Cream,Vanilla,The Chaotix,Omega etc are nowhere to be found. The whole Green Hill as their home planet was also stupid. That was my biggest issue with the show aside of Sonic's huggly-lovely-dovely personality of course. That was cringe and not fit Sonic's style at all. The whole show being cannon just sinply not working. It's just forced to be in somathing that's totally different.

idc if it was canon i feel like the whole "oh well doesn't matter the prism was fixed and everything resets ending" just made the show worst for most of us and left us at a cliffhanger it just feels like the hype started over another loose end that fans would just argue about and for me personally the ending just told me yeah this enjoyment was a waste of mt time they duped my hype

Personally I think sonic prime is okay. Just okay There was definitely a few things that bothered me like with the chaos council, those guys gave me a freaking headache, and the over pacing of the show, especially near the end. I will say Sonic acting like a complete idiot in this show isn’t really out of character like people complain and let me explain. Sonic obviously is going to try to see the good in these other versions of his friends, he time and time again kept comparing them to his friends even when shadow try to explain to him they aren’t, and you can’t really blame him. He just lost everyone and is clinging to anything that reminds him of his friends, so of course he’s going to think nine will be like tails and not turn on him. Personally I thought this was fine, infuriating sure but still okay. Shadow was also portrayed pretty well in this show, showing that he isn’t just this edgy guy that doesn’t care for anyone but himself, he clearly does care for those around him, especially Sonic. Even the animation is chef kiss gorgeous, the lighting effects, scenery, everything is pretty good. Now with the show being considered canon yeah it does muddy up some area especially when trying to connect it to the timeline. Personally I’m on everyone side with just making it not canon. There was no point to make it canon and even hire someone to make sure it’s as accurate to the canon timeline only to ignore him. So many wasted potential. I will say the best part of the entire show was Sonic and shadow’s interaction. I see the two as being really close friend despite their differences and the show perfectly showed that.

I personally think that it shouldn’t be canon if they were going to hire Flynn and ignore him like he was an intern. The show is good for what it is and I personally really enjoyed it but knowing that it’s canon does push it down a little when they mention the robots and chaos sonic. It just makes the whole thing feel less canon when you know that it’s canon to the games.

I like the show for what it is. It's a fun watch. I just don't understand why the creators would bother to say it's canon, hire Ian Flynn as a consultant, and then blatantly go against his advice and contradict the canon. Especially when the story cancels itself out by the end. What's the point of that?

Season 3 had potential. It felt short and a little bland.. But it was cool to hear that it's canon! And season 3 had a balanced story. Also, I will never forgive nine for saying that he hates chili dogs.

Honestly, the idea of the Master Emerald being able to power up the chaos emeralds just makes sense and is such a neat idea they could play around with. Ik they say they scrapped it after S3&K bc of the rainbow effect hurting people's eyes, but they could just make him white or platinum. Or make the effect not as fast instead of just giving up. The idea of Hyper Sonic facing The End is an amazing idea I wish they went with.

a bit of constructive criticism, i think this video could be a lot better if you scripted it more thoroughly! at times you ramble and/or pause for a while and it feels more like a podcast where i'd expect someone else to be talking with you. also the editing could use some improvement; why are you talking about zelda over an image of mario? i understand it wss a transition before you reveal that you specifically mean totk, but i think you could use a different zelda image once you start talking about it. and on that note, the still image thing makes the video kind of hard to watch. your "about" section says you want to be a youtuber, but this content all seems much more geared towards podcasting and listensble content. i'm sure you've watched arlo videoes before, or other commentators. they tend to show footage of games or at least talk to the camera and edit their videos. this is kind of a live presentation and not a "video." i enjoy commentary channels like this alot, so i'm going to subscribe so i can tune in sometimes, but when i'm not busy with chores or on a walk it's hard to justify watching this type of content when there is nothing engaging in the video happening aside from your talking, which is held back by the unscriptedness making it feel a bit messy. with a bit of extra effort, i could see this channel getting really big with commentary. i like the metroid prime 4 prediction ! im surprised you didn't mention animal crossing at all, but i guess this is a launch title only discussion.

They should just bite the bullet and bring Hyper Sonic back, it doesn't have to be canonical to the story, just add it in as an extra feature. Like say for a future game Hyper Sonic is the new game+ variant of Super Sonic and is far stronger and can breathe underwater.

I decided on some general predictions before clicking, and it was pretty much the same as what you said here. The obligatory top 2 Odyssey and BoTW, some random stuff that came out early in the system's life (Mario Maker 2, Xenoblade 2, etc.), and, of course, NOT mario kart because 60 million idiots (including me) have already proven that $60 is cheap enough.

She did change on a dime I believe on episode 4, episode 1 2 and 3 were like her just being a jerk but - I know she was also surprised at how quick he changed in one day. And I know that he was a bit of a fool when he asked her immediately on that same day if there were people that he could try and date instead of her which was dumb. I'm sure there were many other things he could have done better, like not suddenly stop pursuing her suddenly now that I think about it. (I mean, his feelings are his feelings but you know what I mean) I would like to see someone try to write a story about this type of scenario.

Fun fact: Ian Flynn actually DID plan to have Super Sonic 2 and Cyber Sonic (the glitchy form) instead just be replaced as one big moment with Hyper Sonic, but SEGA shot down the idea.

Kirby is too soon for a price drop. Splatoon 3 is WAAAAAAAY too soon. I’d suggest you’re missing a pile of mid-tier franchises (Fire Emblem, as the biggest example) and then have too many top-tier franchises (Mario). I also think they’d do Link’s Awakening instead of BotW (thanks to rumors of a 4K 60fps BotW tech demo for the Switch 2). And in general, I think they’ll be $30, not $20. But I’m otherwise with you on the Selects concept. 😊

They apparently come from some off planet with those Chaos- like beings introduced in Frontiers right? Maybe the next game can get Knuckles and the Master Emerald reintroduced in thr next title.

He's been officially called Mecha Sonic III. His predecessors were the Sonic robots in Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles. And yes, as people in the comment section have stated, he makes a cameo appearance in the IDW Comics.

He does actually appear one more time and this one was actually pretty recent. He appears in the IDW Winter Jam one shot, depressingly still sitting in that same green tube in a room with a bunch of other junk.

2K has given out one arena in the many years since they started producing it. In that time they've sold us the Nitro arena 4 or 5 times (never really accurate in design never given us the 99 cat butt set or the 2000 Turnervision trons or mostly anything from WCW or ECW)

2K hid half the create a wrestler content behind loot boxes until 2K20 crashed and burned.

WWE 2K is able to reuse assets and models on a yearly basis. They've been using their model for decades and it's meant to be be finite. They know when they're going to pivot to next year's title and they're just plug people into a set formula that's been good since the SVR games.
