This is amazing!!! Such a great find. I went to my local goodwill about 2 weeks ago and found a treasure trove of Kirsten items. I got a Kirsten doll, her trunk, and accessories from ALLLL of her stories...School, Christmas, Birthday, Summer, & Winter, just missing a few little things here and there like her quilt, her table (found the chairs), her bed and nightstand, and some small items within the stories. She came with zero dresses, so i ordered the rest of her meet outfit, and i'm hoping to slowly fill in where is missing. What's so crazy is that about 3 years ago i found her books at a different goodwill and it inspired me to keep an eye out for AG. I'm officially addicted to all things Kirsten!!!

big ag fan and (and mini collector and restorer here): don't replace the eye!! It holds more value to keep the pleasant company eyes and get them professionally re-painted (or diy since you're a craftsperson). I can point you in a direction for people who do re-paints if you need!

She could be as new as 2009 because the Pleasant company's neck stamps were on classic molds tail 2009. Does she have a body tag? I heard the 90s dolls have no body tags. Also, pierced ears were introduced in 2008, by the way. That means the owner could have bought her to a store to get her earrings at some point after 2008.

I actually learned how to type on a typewriter very similar to that one waaaaay back in the early 80s! For tests, we had to tape a sheet of paper to the top of the machine to cover our hands so we would learn not to look at the keys. Bonus if we knew we had made a mistake and were able to switch to the corrector ribbon all by feel. Typeface downloaded!

Great haul . I dream of Johnny has a TH-cam channel and he collects vintage American girl. He has a lot of Kirsten items and may have some for sale. Good luck on your hunt to restore Kirsten. I have mainly historical dolls in mt collection and I store Kirsten’s items in her trunk. You can also set up displays on bookshelves or on table tops. A TH-camr agtakesover has a nice video on making collapsible doll room real easy and inexpensive. Have fun with your collection.

i collect AG and have done so seriously for a few years now. most of the things i find are actually on facebook. there are tons of AG buy and sell groups, and a lot of them are much more affordable than an ebay or mercari listing would be. love ag!!

The holy grail of the original AG dolls are the white bodied dolls and/or the tinsel haired Kirsten. Was there a bed in the trunk? $150 is a great deal for everything!!

That’s a great haul! Growing up, the AG stuff always seemed super expensive, but it’s clearly quality, super detailed, and a lot of it is even hand crafted. Still a lot of money for parents to justify paying for especially if their kid forgets about it in a week, but we adult kids can appreciate this craftsmanship!

eBay is a good way to get older Histocal doll stuff along with fellow AG doll Collocters here on TH-cam and also theirs a store called A Girl Again they a resell AG dolls and assccories and everything. I've gotten dolls of eBay and I'm not starting to go down the eBay rabbit hole to get doll outfits I never had.

All the Kirsten trunks were hand painted from what I herd. I I'd love to have any of the trunks from Histocal dolls
