there is an old rule about presentations - people remember only a small percentage of what they see, a much larger percentage of what they see and hear.. This video really needs text to make it understandable especially with the small text size of the app itself.
Can I transfer 2 or 3 images from Apple's Photo to Capture One without transferring the entire catalog?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to transfer just 2 or 3 photos from Apple Photos to Capture One.
can peakto import images from the microsoft photos-app, thats included in Windows?
We don't support Windows Photo import...we did not look into it at all...It is something we could consider in the future and would definitely consider if we build a Windows version.
I'm now trialing both PeakTo and the PeakTo Search plugin. Something doesn't seem right. It's almost amazing but it doesn't feel finished. Bugs, maybe. I have some really obvious videos that don't show up in search ('driving on road with snow' for example doesn't show any of those videos, but does return the images). It says it has completed the indexing but I'm not totally sure, maybe not? EDIT: I had thousands of unindexed videos due to CODEC incompatibility. Support gave me a patched version to try and it seems to work as you'd expect. Still testing but very cool so far The PeakTo Search product has really annoying UI bugs. But I can see the interface and the features is potentially brilliant. I just can't trust it if it doesn't return very obvious results. Ideally I want to be able to add LR keywords based on AI search results. I don't think that's possible is it? I posted on here because I've tried registering for PeakTo community support but there's an error (says I have cookies disabled. I do not.) I really hope this becomes a brilliant tool. I can see the potential to solve so many huge problems for all content creators.
As I understand it, this does not add keywords in LR but is its own stand-alone tool that accesses the LR catalog. Is this correct? Can I search my videos? this would solve a huge problem for me
Hello Mike, that's exactly right. Peakto Search reads and analyzes your Lightroom catalogs to allow you to gather them all together and perform advanced multi-catalog searches. You can also search your videos in the same way as your photos. I hope I’ve answered your question.
@@CymePhotography Thank you. With the video indexing does it just analyse frames? or does it look at the audio as well?
@@MikeHudsontek For now, only analyzing frames, but audio will be added soon.
@@CymePhotography Wow ok, audio indexing would be next level! I'm trailing it now. It indexed a 120k catalog in just a few hours. Seems very good. I hope you don't mind me asking on here. How are the results sorted? It would be good to have a sorting option - by relevance and by date captured. Is this possible?
When you run a search, the results are sorted by relevance, i.e., by the "distance" between your query (prompt or image) and the media's content. In the case of videos, I need to double-check how it works, but I believe the most relevant frame is used to determine the relevance for the entire video. Adding a sorting option is possible, but sorting by date would require us to be explicit, as you would see results that pass the relevancy tests (and are therefore displayed) but may not be the best options. We will consider this. As a videographer would it make sense for you to be able to index video in projects (Premiere, FCP, DaVinci) in addition to indexing simple folders?
Hi Matthieu. I have an issue where my watched folders won't sync properly. Run deep sync and run fast sync is greyed out. Run custom sync is available but doesnt do anything. My folder is on a nas which is connected via lan. I just updated to peakto 2.0.8., but no change so far. Only way to fix it is to re-ingest the entire folder again, which is not really a solution, since all the ai computing needs to be done all over again and the added metadata is also gone. Any idea how to fix this?
Hello Arnold, you can submit a ticket and let us know about your issue at (desk.cyme.io/portal/en/home). The development team will respond to you as soon as possible.
Ive been using it on some 200k images and parts of it are good finding images of people not looking at the camera directly or in low light or even facing away from the camera (not sure how you do that one) but also I am getting a fair number of wrong images. In one case peakto found 28k images of my daughter but some 10K were wrong. I've been working with your support team who has been quite responsive but here are a few things that are necessary. Firstly, I must be able to add a keyword for every face I am tracking. Secondly, the latest release took the ability to select, then go to another image contiguous to the first (like the first and last images in a row of five) and shift-click to select them all. Lastly, it would be great if they were more accurate. I know it is hard, especially when you have factors like my daughter's images because you are looking from infancy all the way to an adult. Plus she was a dancer for many years so we are talking about images that of dance performances.
Hi. Thanks for chatting. When you say 10k are wrong, are they wrong because they are pictures of someone who looks similar to your daughter ? Or are they completely off ? We will soon a video that goes in more details into more advanced options regarding faces. because the standard options are good in most cases but can get it wrong in instances where people look very similar. There is a way to create more and smaller clusters to ensure there is less confusion between similar people....and then merge those smaller clusters appropriately by giving the same name. 1.Regarding adding a keyword...I assume you want some sort of automation to do it ? because you can already do it. 2. You are right about this bug in the image view, but if I am correct, it is fixed in 2.0.7 The ability to create continuous or discontinuous selection is back in there. Note however, that selection of multiple faces in the face cluster view is not yet possible....we will add it in the near future 3. I don't know what kind of improvements we should make but everything you can send us to give us some samples on which we can work is very welcome. have a great daY.
@@CymePhotography Yes they were images that either had the face of someone other than my daughter but the image did have my daughter sometimes but also many images which weren't even images of people. As far as keywords there should be a way to add them from faces. I figured out I could select a collection as you are calling them then add the keyword of their name to all the images. I did that but when I went back to look at the images in On1 the keyword was not added. I am confused about your answer about continuous image selection. Are you saying it works within the main part of peakto but not in Faces? Because before I added the last 2 updates it was working and saved a lot of time. lastly, I need to understand a bit better how you define an image in faces. In the other apps that do this (and I will tell you right now Peakto was far superior in finding faces than Apple Photos or On1 and much faster but also almost too good as it was finding faces in images I would have to blow up to 4x to even see a face of a poster or painting) what I get is just the face. In Peakto, I got a lot of what I call failures where the face showing wasn't my daughter but she was in the image. I call that a failure but perhaps you are saying it is the image not the particular face you are finding?
Hi Join! Could you please make a video about the settings panel, where you would go in-depth about each setting how it works and when it does what it says it does? Also, could you tell me how do I know that catalogue has finished everything it needs for AI, indexing, faces etc? Thank you!
Hi. We will do it. Please note that we are thinking about redoing that panel in a more organised way because some screens expose important choices that do not get the explanations that would be required. Thanks for your request about clarity regarding task progress. You are right, some global tasks are split into parts and it is hard to know when everything is finished. On the other hand, there are a number of actions that do not require neither AI, nor Faces to have run ...for example, you can start viewing and annotating content while the ingestion is running. But we should improve the feedback we give when going to a screen or view that is incomplete because the process that populates it is still running or hasn't run yet. One way to give more info would be to expose a clear indicator next to a source that would say what process is running and what remains to be done. We will improve this... Thanks
This video is an absolutely useless designer masterpiece. A lot of blinking words and zero/zilch/nada information. Thank you!
I’m sorry that the video didn’t meet your expectations. You can find all the information about Avalanche on our website, cyme.io.
I would consider this software if we can add/select faces ourselves - including pets, which i hope will come in future.
Indeed, it's not feasible at the moment, but it's a feature we would like to add in the future. You can propose it on our roadmap at the following link: (trello.com/b/yx5ePR2u/peakto-public-roadmap). Thank you for your feedback.
I really like the new features.
Thank you David. Glad you like it!
Very nice. I likfe the connection for FotoMagico.
Thank you!
Thank you for a great and educational video. I plan to download and try it soon.
Thanks Mattheiu - definitely one of my favourite features of Peakto.
Glad you like it Andy !
Can you switch from "or" to "and"? Can I write in one search field Mai and sunset and only find images with Mai AND a sunset in the same photo?
Not yet...we have plans to allow for more complex queries involving more control over operators and more criteria.
@@CymePhotography Please do add the logical features! I'm so impressed by your application that I've bought it in the minute and migrated all my photos to Lightroom just to be able to use it. I've used to spend "hours" finding a photo because I'm always to lazy in tags. You have simplified my life a lot. The learning model still needs some tweaks and tends to hallucinate a little (in a dog find, for instance, some people apear without any dog in the scene 🙂. But these are certainly growth issues. The present functionality is already awesome.
@@rhenriques11 Hi. I assume you mean the same thing, i.e being able to better control how multiple criteria are combined in the search field, with AND and OR rules being configurable. We will think about it. Please note that the search field will soon see some important changes to make it easier to work with but it won't have the ability you describe yet. We have to do it in steps and we have some really huge updates to the app that are being finalised and need to be finished before we can tackle this. For the time being, if your search are often repetitive, you might consider creating a smart album where those complex rules can be declared (logical features). I hope this helps.
I have to admit I love Peakto overall and would like to pick up a copy of version 2.0 before the current discount expires tonight, but keywording is unreliable for me. I've emailed tech support about it a few times now and sent some screen shots and XMP files over for them to look at but have yet to get a reason or explanation of why I'm having issues with it (been playing with the program significantly for the past two weeks and the trial is almost up). I've been adding and removing keywords on multiple different RAW image files and the keyword changes show up correctly in Adobe Bridge, Capture One and ON1 Photo RAW every time, but not in Peakto. Sometimes it shows a few of the keywords only or some keywords that have been deleted elsewhere. So, it looks like I'm going to have to skip Peakto for now and maybe check it out again in a few months.
Hey hi. I'm having a Peakto struggle. Here’s your picture. Cool. Here’s a thousand things you can do with it, yeah… ace. Where is the picture? Nah, not telling. Seriously, I can’t find where or how to access the original. Can we have that at the top of a list pretty please?
Hello! In the grid view, at the bottom, you have a quick access to the image file and the parent folder. The contextual menu also has a Reveal Master in Finder.... Would you want us to put this action at the top...we had some internal discussions about it. What do you think ?
Just indexed 30 years of work. WOW. Solves the mac finder ant search Synology NAS problem once and for all. I am very impressed.
We are glad that you like Peakto. Feel free to share your feedback with us.
I think to presenters soft spoken nature doesn't lend to the excitement of the new features and make it hard to follow why Peakto is a great app. Would hope to understand how I can use Peakto to cull photos, but its hard to follow.
This video is not a tutorial but simply a presentation of the new features in Peakto. If there are any topics you’d like us to cover in tutorial videos, feel free to send them our way.
It slows down my Mac extremely and make it shut down.
hi Franck, we are sorry if you are experiencing issues with v2. Can you contact us on peakto-app 'at' cyme.io to discuss these issues ?
Wow! some really amazing improvements and being able to catalog video data is going to be awesome. Excited to try this all out!😃
Have fun!
I have an annual subscription for v1 (bought about 6 months ago) and today received an email offering me 15% off the price for v2 if I download the beta. I checked the links to the website and there is nothing to suggest a current subscriber would include v2 so I assume I will have to pay for both versions going forward. Brings a whole new level to subscription software. No Thanks! Subscription to V1 will be cancelled and I will look elsewhere.
hi. As a subscriber you always have access to the latest release. So v2.0 and all other forthcoming minor and major releases are included in your subscription while it is active. The email was a generic email and was intended to customers having a one-off licence that was purchased more than 1yr ago. Please note that V2.0 is not officially out...and will be officially out in the newt few days. It is however accessible upon request.
I also had it for a year and it was pretty much useless. I was supposed to be able to use it on two computers and I never could login into the second computer and then I couldn’t even login at all. Sorry I ended up subscribing even though I paid for a whole year and never use it.
@@AngelaFletcher-xy3ph A licence entitles you to 2 computers. If you change computers, you can unregister a computer or reset all activations from the app itself. These kinds of registration issues, if they persist, are resolved routinely and swiftly. Did you contact us about it?
Any trick to open the app?. I have downloaded and installed it and the login window requires an email and a password I don't have. The email to download the app did not contain any free trial password. Clicking the start free trial with no email or password takes me on and on to the web page but nothing else. ?¿
hello, please get in touch by email on peakto-app 'at' cyme.io and we will send you a trial code.
I guess I am going to try this app out !!!
Can't wait to have your feedback !
Absolutely amazing. Peakto is my go-to for accessing my photo libraries tucked away in so many different places. These improvements make it so much more valuable.
We are glad you like these improvements.
Fabulous!
Thank you !
Can Peakto Search recognize unique faces? Would I be able to search by their name if already identified? Thank you.
PS - Lightroom Classic's facial recognition is not so great.
Hello, Thanks for asking. It s a feature that we are currently debating. There are a certain number of things that could be done to: - search for pictures featuring a certain face (identified in another picture) - search for pictures featuring a named person ... but in that case, that would probably require to pick a representation of that person in the form of an image as Peakto Search works by comparing images. One thing that seems to go beyond the current Peakto Search design, at least for now, is to do facial recognition ... We will soon release Peakto V2.0 (not Peakto Search) with a full featured facial recognition. facial recognition requires dedicated user interfaces that would not really correspond to the philosophy of Peakto Search. I hope this makes sense.
@@CymePhotography I'm super eager for full featured Facial Recognition. My use case is family photos in folders. The photos come from scanned film, early digital, current phones, and high resolution digital. Simply put 100 years 100,000 photo, all the different technologies during that time. An excellent facial recognition tool would be most welcome. There are some attempts. Excire does a reasonable job, but it doesn't assign the name to the face, only the image. digiKam's Machine Learning is insufficient, ACDSee cataloging crashes, ImageRanger does pretty well, but again doesn't seem to name the face. I'm eagerly looking format to a real solution.
Will Peakto Search do facial recognition? If yes, can it add keywords as Lightroom Classic does?
Hi. Thanks for asking. We are currently thinking about it but the main issue is the performance hit. Currently Peakto Search is fast and does not require any manual editing. Opening the gate to interactive keywording or face annotation changes significantly the user experience. How would you envision the user experience?
Hi Guys, Is there a Duplicate Finder in Peakto ? Is there somewhere I can ask my questions on the CYME Website ? I also tried to sign up with an email for Newsletter > I did not get a confirmation email. At the moment I have a Subscription for Excire Search AI 2024, but Peakto seems to be a combination of Standalone App and Lightroom Classic Plugin, whereas Excire have two separate Apps.
When doing a search for bridge for instance, ... does Peakto automatically add this Keyword to the resulting search images ? or does the user have to do this ?
hi. Thanks for asking. The app is a search app and does not do any annotations. It lets you turn a search result into a selection in LR and from that selection, you could add the keyword easily. We did not introduce any annotation capability yet and are waiting to get some feedback such as yours to understand what would be the best evolutions. For manual keywording we had the impression that LR would be the tool of choice. For star rating at the image level, we wonder if doing if from the search screen would be a desirable feature. One of the complications is that the underlying catalog is not always online....
very impressive, Is it possible to see the file name and location of an image/video in the Peakto window ? if you have not got CaptureOne or Lightroom open
hello. Thanks for asking. We will soon introduce an inspector for the retrieved data, that will give you a quick access to the image/video summary information (EXIF meta, date) and the file location. We'll add standard actions to this information (reveal in Finder, Find images on the same date, etc...) and more.... If if makes sense, we could also add some sharing actions directly from the inspector.
Hello- I don't think we need large subtitles. Your English is perfect and one can follow every word.
Thank you for using Aperture as an example in smart albums. It answered my question as I’m still using Aperture in 2024 along with RAW Power.
I have been looking for something like this for years! Fantastic! Thanks for creating it. :D
Oh, I did not know you could have multiple Peakto databases. Very handy! The trash also! 👍
Lightroom trash rocks !

A fantastic piece of software-looking forward to seeing how it evolves further
