Uncle Ron and Stuff - Leaksaver's HVAC Sealant Review, Warning
มุมมอง 222 หลายเดือนก่อน
Ron Stultz talks about using Leaksavers HVAC sealant and how tight you have to get hoses on Leaksvers tube of sealant. Did it work? Not sure. Not much sealant in clear plastic tube. Have used cans of sealant in the past and they did work but now a can cost like $80 and this Leaksaver tube was $40 or so but obviously not the same amount of sealant in the tube as in a can or so I assume.

    Thanks for the info it’s a big help , I have the same stove , I wake up in the morning to use the stove and no clicking sound , I’m guessing it’s the spark module ? , for your problem I also seen a guy remove the left burner section take that apart and the wiring where it’s taped together was grounding out to the metal frame , he put some electrical tape on it to fix it

    • @rstultz3
      @rstultz3 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I assumed ignitor but after replacing it, I found wires from unit to burner pan connectors so covered in grease that I think the sparker was shorting to the ground of the unit. Cleaned wires and coated with liquid electrical tape. Either way, sparks burners every time now and has been at least a year, if not longer. Not a bad job other than pulling unit out away from wall. Hope it solves your problem. Oh, I also had to replace the oven convection fan. Fan replacement was hard to find as actual part number is no longer available from anyone. Some sites say they have until you go to order and then, no longer available! Thanks for comment. Hope you get it firing again, regular like. R.

    Do you feel you "have" to modified your writing for "lay men"? Are you getting to a point as i do with paintings? Some panties took me several years of adding to them before I said they're done and others I overworked and had to be scrapped be cause i didn't stop before i created nothing but a mess. If you're editing to make your story more clear I get but if you're editing because you're worried that your terms are words or ways you use words to describe a situation is going to be to difficult for people to cipher I don't know how I feel about that. Am I wrong that I thought you wrote those stories for yourself. The fact that you have put all of this together to create a book is just amazing. You can check another thing off your bucket list as a success. So congratulations. Pretty cool pop

    Conscious self-growth and organic wisdom from experiences over time The more I'm around the public the more it feels like people have lost spiritual or emotional growth. Somehow it's become more socially acceptable for people to blatantly disregard another human being that is and has every right to share this earth's space with. I'm voice to texting and walking so this may not be coming out exactly as I'm trying to say but... Let me try this again. Our society had to make laws for certain things because people either lacked the common sense or just blatantly didn't care or never even thought about something being harmful or morally wrong to the world or other people. Like there's a law in Richmond that says it's illegal for you to open your car door while you drive by a bicyclist and hit them. Now to me and probably to you the fact that we had to make a law saying you can't do that is unsettling. The reality of all of it is this must have been a common behavior or happening.

      Occurred to me, lived long enough to see human evolution occurring. I always thought, evolution was generations and generations like 40 or 50 to see some real evolution but now I aware that our brains are evolving over a shorter time period. Not sure how brain changed in a single generation but like everything, health care, nutrition, experiences. Experiences make more neuron connections and more connection is better? I always assume so but perhaps takes a couple of generations for expanding neurons become actually useful. In the mind time......

  • @candicestultz7882

    So what's the equation for organic peace of mind😂

    • @candicestultz7882

      You know I tried to use voice to text to express my thought here but it's not working well with you tube and I'm walking so I'm not getting my thought out correctly. Maybe I'm just saying I feel like one of the parts of life and an important part of life is learning and bettering yourself a little bit or at least accepting who you are as a person and being sure that whoever you are doesn't harm or bleed into someone else's life negatively. I feel that when it's all said and done if you can look back and see that you obviously grew and bettered yourself as you lived your life. Growing in bettering yourself is not easy and sometimes it can't happen organically but most of the time you have to consciously work on yourself. I mean I know that there are some certain social situations that I can be in where I mean to people because I think they're all idiots and I can't control myself and when I get home I hate myself for that behavior. Well I no longer go to those certain social situations because as hard as I tried at the end of the night around these certain people I was mean I couldn't control myself so I just don't go around them. But other things like consciously trying to control my reactions to difficult situations is something that I constantly am trying to learn and honestly I'm comfortable enough to say that at least three situations that I used to completely lose my mind over I now worked on so much I don't pay attention to

      Ram Dass (Richard Alpert) along with Timothy Leary were kicked out of Harvard for their work with psychedelics as you know. Most definitely seems there was a lot of folks leading the various experiments or movements around the country for various reasons, it was like an altered consciousness gold rush in America at that time, so you might be right about your suspicion in Reston! Most likely there was lots of "recreational" use by some of the folks working in the MKUltra program and perhaps the parties you were at were concentrated with lots of folks closer to the source if not official experiments. Evolutionary benefit from the universe? (There's the stoned ape "theory" which is highly speculative and really just a hypothesis but a thought provoking one...) Yes most certainly could be a both are true situation... like a shortcut to showing the potential and underlying connection of all things... perhaps not productive to a binary system of nation states and personal property and individualism and so on and so on, so if had been some sort of CIA experiment I imagine they didn't want it to grow beyond the initial findings of controlled experiments if they could help it!

    Love you Dad. Nice to hear you speak so lovingly of Dr. Foster. Oh dear, I was never intending to imply in that conversation you are deficient in being a mentor yourself, sorry for the confusion. You have been mentor to many, including me and the sisters. It's in you to do so. I was however curious to hear you speak about your experiences with a mentor yourself as you've done here, and if you have continued to seek them out at different phases of life. Good talk.

      Always aware I could have tried harder, Just a little bit more. Often say more an as an excuse, "You get what you get" Borne: you get what you get. Parents: "You get what you get". Everyone, I thinks, tries to do their best, at the time and hopefull, do it a little bit better the next time. And I not implying by referencing you that I hve regrets or anything, just crediting you with push I needed to address "mentor." Like book, dont know why TH-cam. A internal diagnosistic says it is not "Ego" or not the major component and so used to doing without questioning motivations, seems OK. Books now in review, whatever that means. I have begun to send in possible add-ons or replacements. Pieces I did not include in manuscript submitted. Updates to older and sometimes a complete rewrite around original point of story. Currently rewriting a longer story and get is getting better, much better than orginal. Real work to do such a rewrite. Hope all is well. Struggling to drill throught stainless steel and aluminum. Both very hard metals and normal metal bits won;t even scratch the surface. Weird to me I have not encounter this problem before but guess wood whenever possible. Have to complete one hole in dog fence aluminum or it is dig out post and reconcrete. Did one post already and saw hole really not deep enough or in diameter but boxed in by sidewalk and underground pipe. Post OK but not soiid as it should be. I will do it, take it out and do over but not likeing that much, So plan 'b' was dril a hole and use a hitchpin. But metal so tough to drill through. The stainless stuff is unbelievable. Going to ask Dan about it but suspect he uses his drill press and lubricating oil of some kind. Enough. Your Mom buying cocktail dresses for DAR convention in DC in June, I think. Real nightmare. Was buying stuff off Amazon, try on, send back. Last week I took her to 4 different places that had off-the-rack to see and try on. Bouoght 2 that might work. DAD

    I got one of those and the charger socket is kaput. Looks like I should just pitch it by the videos I've seen. One guy ran it over with his car to get it open...

    • @rstultz3
      @rstultz3 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I just hate "pitching". 8 or 9 times out of 10, it's some cheap part. Land fills are full 1 or 2 bad .10 parts or lose wire or bad run capacititor or dry bearings. I know built to be " pitched" when it made but I so old, I remember when stuff was built to last. Do have a huge pile of motor rotors, computer motherboards, massive transformers, remote control citcit boards that are bad. Some day, glued, screwed, welded, cable tied, wired together in this giant "thingy" that does exactly nothing but captures the architecture of one of our worlds. I have thought many times of driving car over a laptop but take them apart, saving some and other in my sculpture pile.I do understand " pitch it", and I do sometimes. Thanks for the comment. Just trying to help perhaps simply making a" pitch" decision. R.

    Postscript-- after successfully using my repaired unit for 3 hours (and the lights blinking red, so time to re-charge) and then charging it for multiple hours, it was dead! Uggh. So I disassembled it and found the battery was now dead (no voltage whatsoever via a meter). I then experimented with a regular 9v battery and it worked. I also used a "wall wort" that output 9v DC and it worked. So, I'll "probably" never use the unit's recharging via its USB input-- and instead, re-rout the wires to the board external to the unit and make a "connection" that could power the unit via: a regular 9v battery, the 9v dc wall wort, or I may invest (but I doubt it) in a different re-chageable 7.4v Li-ion battery that has its own recharging means. Good luck to anyone who wants to embark on a similar odyssey. ;>)

    Ron-- thanks for your video. I was successful-- so 2 things for you (& others) those red lights blinking only show battery is low. And the battery I got from Amazon for ~$16 had the polarity in the connector opposite, so I changed them to mimic the original. While both of my LED ribbon connectors broke, I was able to glue one to a piece of the connector and those got those L:EDs to light-- blue as charged and right when about done with charge. Good Luck! Well-- one thing not able to get the large black plastic U back on-- so I may cut it in the middle of the back to get the ends on correctly.

And thanks for the comment of success, as is my reward for posting on TH-cam, a chance to help people fix something, save something from the landfill and save some money and time. Well done....

    They don't make nothing worth a crap anymore. These companies know what they are doing. Used to you bought appliances and they would last a long time. Not anymore. It's all about making that almighty dollar these days.

      Most stuff can be repaired but where the repair shops and cost too much and we not taught how to repair anything or even know how something works and who wants to learn???. We a throw away society and products made for cheap. We get what we paid for.

      Yes, cardboard. Think it was intended as an insulator for the wires on the motor but not needed. I did not replace it. If not the motor, around the switch opening to keep dust out of switch. Glad you got it.

    I'm actually at the grocery store listening to this one and it's making me think I actually need to go look up the definition when I get home because this is an interesting take on your thoughts. I know I'm definitely guilty of assumptions. I have learned I have a tendency to be to kind to blatant assholes because I assume they are dealing with something "heavy" in there life nobody knows about. Unfortunately for me ive been wrong often. Lucky for them they aren't struggling secretly. Unfortunately for society they are just assholes..lol

    But they don't give you like an envelope to send them back to a place where you can safely dispose of them. Not the best system
