Very out of character for Cox. It's understable he would celebrate being right because he was smart enough to see something someone else wasn't able to, but this time he only knew the patient was just looking for drugs only because he got tricked by him as well, not because of his brilliance.
Fun fact: Dr. Cox actually has no room to critique Elliot, since not only did he fall for the same guy's tricks AND actually gave him drugs, but he willingly almost enabled a repeat offender to steal drugs from a regulatory institution. Note: This scene is hilarious. I just clearly have no idea how to enjoy something.
He's not critiquing her. He's teaching her in the form of tough-love. I doubt he actually let the druggie leave with the pain meds knowing full-well he's an addict.
I love how this show approaches drug addiction. It's always been the most accurate to me with how drug addicts are willing to compromise anything to get a fix.
They really are. It’s sad and pathetic, but addicts truly lose all of their humanity when they use. They’re simply a chemical need incarnate, willing to do anything to get drugs. Even diving into dumpsters at hospitals if they can.
@@Lieutenant_DudeTgey don't lose their humanity, they just reveal the darker PARTS of their humanity. I get that addicts are suck and often ruin the lives of others and thenselves, but it's important that we don't dehumanize people, even the ones we find distasteful. No human is a monster.
I truly love how everyone is so used to him acting crazy, the nurse doesn't even flinch, when he walks down the hall, imitating Elliot, going all topsy-turvy :D
So he had the best character, that doesn't make him the best actor. It just means the writers gave him good lines, which has nothing to do with John himself. That's not to say I don't think he did his part very well. But the actors for Ted and Kelso were also very good, so you can't say John was 'the best'.
I wonder if Elliot had to do several different takes for these scenes, cause she couldn't resist to laugh with Dr. Cox doing that dance of his. It's so funny.
Dr. Cox = Amazing (father, mentor, doctor, person, leader,...) btw, I made a Cox/JD music video tribute on my channel! Please check it out! It would mean a lot! Thx! :)
Omg I'm gonna have great abs after the ROFLMAO I just had. If I ever become this bitter and jaded, I'm gonna make sure I'll be like Dr Cox. At least I'll make people laugh. XD
@Ltspe1rs Ahah yes thats the bit i mean, it's too funny. i honestly just crack up laughing everytime i watch that bit. ....lol laughing just thinking about it :P

Dr Cox has the right to call out and act this way because he's fixing all the intern problems.
American doctors that don't wanna get you hooked on opiods. This is new..
''OH MY GOD, JUST give me, the drugs! 'Kay, lady?!'' I love that.
"You haven't done me!" First response that came to mind was "Not without a condom." She's been ridden more times than a city bus.
The keltic dance is just ace....

Elliot would have seen his name If she read the chart. It's on her
That patient is James from spin city. Another great show.

You can watch this with your sounds turned off and still understand everything Cox says :D

I can't believe this guy never got an Emmy for his potrayl of Cox. One of the most under appreciated actors of our time.
