Hello, I am a retired structural engineer, upon retirement I decided to home-grow some tilapia in a RAS system in 5x1m3 totes @30kg/m3, I did noticed that you mentioned in your presentation that the facility could be within city limits and I have always been concerned of the effect of air pollution due to heavy vehicle traffic when farming fish in downtown lots, there are a lot of empty lots within the city that become headache for the property owners that could be turned into fish farms if nothing else to finance property taxes and security expense to keep drug addicts that daily invade this properties and do all kind of nasty things within, it occurs to me that this could be an interesting way to keep those lots productive until whatever development comes along. How would you handle this air pollution concern?

Why did you divide kgs with 1.3, should've multiplied? 1kg of O2 takes 1.3 m3, so for 10 kgs you need 13 m3.

The real reason is because aquaculture is unsanitary, the fish eat their own fecal matter because not all of them eat, what they feed them usually doesn't meet the quality of their wild food sources and they don't have the same room to swim as wild fish so it's more unhealthy than nutritious, great value and other mass produced brands also lie about using mariculture fishing because aquaculture has been obsolete for decades but they aren't fooling anyone so sales are at an all time low and will continue that direction until there's more transparency and healthier fish options.
