Did you know? Unnur Birna had won the 3rd Miss World crown for Iceland in 2005. However, this wasn't the first time she was on the Miss World stage. Her mother, Unnur Steinsson, won the Miss Iceland pageant in 1983 and was a Top 6 finalist at the Miss World 1983 pageant. Unnur's mother was 3 months pregnant during the pageant. This was against the pageant rules and warrants disqualification. However, this was not known until after the pageant was over... So technically she was on the stage of Miss World through her mother's womb. Sources also said that her grandmother was the one who always dreamt of her being a Miss World and she said she would win it in a gown she would make. She designed the black finale gown of Unnur and passed away just before the contest. Unnur birna is daughter of unnur steinson miss iceland 1983 and finalist in miss world 1983,her mother was pregnant with her when she was still competing then. 22 years later unnur birna won miss iceland, her grandmother made the gown she wore on the finals.
