TheraTogs can be used while sitting - particularly to support and improve postural alignment and trunk control - but they are designed to provide full mobility, and to provide 'therapy you wear' in sitting, standing, and during gait. They can be used as 'extra hands' in therapy session - addressing one issue while you work on another - but their full intent is to go home with the patient and deliver thousands of repetitions in corrected alignment, giving your client far more carry-over from therapy than she/he can obtain with the caregiver's best efforts. We're sorry to hear that - the DVD is standard in all PTA systems. Where (or from whom) did you purchase your system?

I bought it from especial needs.com. It got delivered to My sister lives in Texas. And she send it to us. So we open the box.

We have an authorized distributor in the UK - Kettering Surgical. If you had purchased from them, you would now have a UK-based distributor to help you solve your difficulties. Technically, taking a US-shipped system out of the country voids the warranty. However, we'll do what we can to help. Please contact customerservice@theratogs.com with your sister's name and address. If your son is two years old, and not walking yet, it would be worth seeing if he fits into our Largest sized Wunzi first (26lbs and under). If he is well over 26lbs, then the PTA system is the next best choice. STA and ATK measurements with weight should get measured to decide on either the infant size or pre-school size PTA System (Posture & Torso Alignment) Please have your treating therapist consult with support@theratogs.com with measurements, size confirmation or questions. Hi. I received the Pta System . But the problem is I don’t know how to use the strapping. Please i need your help.

Just to let you know that I live in the Uk. And my physio has no idea about theratogs. I always ask her if my son need something to support his back and she always answer No. I decided to buy theratogs because i believe that it’s the best solution to support his c shape back .

To make things easier for the physio, every PTA system ships with illustrated documentation and a DVD video demonstrating how to put on and adjust the basic garment system, and how to perform different strapping applications. Your physio may be reluctant to use TheraTogs because she is not familiar with them, so make sure she has the DVD and can see for herself how simple it is. You can also mention that TheraTogs are built upon Bobath principles - that's a rehab approach developed and well-known in the UK. However, in the end your physio is the person responsible for your son's rehab/care, and we have to respect that she knows your son's body and what it needs. We can't teach non-clinicians how to use TheraTogs strapping applications, because those applications are customized to the wearer's needs, according to a qualified clinician's judgment. One option may be to follow the training materials to put your son in just the TheraTogs garments, note any improvements and show them to your physio, and then ask her to assess whether a strapping application should be used to support his core and improve his trunk alignment. Alternatively, get a second opinion from another physio, if that is an option available to you - especially someone who is Bobath-trained or -certified. That said, if your son has significant bony kyphosis of the spine - rather than 'soft' kyphosis of the tissues - then neither the TheraTogs PTA or the Dragonfly TLSO (which features a custom-formed rigid spinal brace) - are likely options to help your son.
