Perfect example of academics and urbanite artists living in a bubble. 40,000 Palestinian civilians have been murdered so far this year and here is a presentation showcasing black pieces of paper taped to a wall.
we love vale
So apparently putting some catch phrases on a card is art ... Awesome lmfao
You are the single most underrated artist in America.
incredible! I hope to visit one day
This is so interesting, I'd never considered directionality at all
Only just discovered these - thanks for making them <3
Once you've drawn it how to you add colour Brian? Do you scan them and do it on photoshop?
I am watching this video with tears and empathy.
You aré incredibly expressive with your hands, they support, and and embellish your ideas. I loved to see and hear your personal experience of this artist. It was a very enjoyable talk.
It's cool to see the places where Bliz-aard shows up. David Hammons shows in the last few years have been really effective. The literary accompaniments really spoke to book sellers and educators.
This is actually interesting. I combine poetry and sculpture in my form of art, and I turn people into the meditative statue.
I look forward to attending the event you're hosting for the book making.
Narwhalz is a comic artist now? I'll have to check that
Loooooove this 🙂
(:
Nathlie, your reading was moving, deep and involving. Thanks for this video.
One day people will really appreciate Brian. We'll look back 20 years from now and be like oh shit
nice little chat

Where do you produce/print the cloth spine perfect bound book?
hello. Did you ever get an answer?
interesting
nice discussion
I have always been a fan of your work heather!! love it so much, im studying fine art in London and your work inspires me always <3
I really enjoyed this video. Yuchen has such an eloquent and honey static voice it helped absorbed the information deeper than I would somewhere else. I've always felt connected to Sol Lewitt -- being born on the same day and in New England, love to see his works on display as much as I can. I didn't connect the aspect of writing out ideas as the art piece and other people produce it with only words as the canvas and example. Very very clever, thanks
Delightfully inspiring! Thank you Yuchen!
good chat
cool binding technique!
love it.
Thank you for sharing so many pieces from your own collection, telling about the people, places, formats and structure of the network. So lovely to hear about your participation and what it means to you. Such variety, and so many names I’ve never heard before. Lovely.
This was really good.
Thank you so much for sharing this 🤍🤍🤍🤍 such an amazing conversation
Marc should publish his part as a manifesto
and they just did today! came to this video bc of his manifesto
Thank you so much for this. So valuable to see how other people are doing this behind the scenes. The logistics and transparency is generous and so so helpful.

Wow thank you for sharing your experience and perspective. I was kind of taken aback because you posted this video almost a year ago (10mo.) and boy things have on one hand gotten better for the vaccines and change in leadership here in the US but the residual anger and racism is still alive all around this world. I hope and pray for those who've been and are currently being affected by all that is going on in this world right now. Both in regards to racism and the pandemic. As a human race we sure do have a lot more learning to do. Thank you for the tutorial. I tend to lean on art and being creative as a form of therapy. Have a wonderful week and stay strong. We will get through this.
I rarely give comments, but this sharing is too amazing and the works too. Love the sad sex and the spilling water and coffee.
Chewing gum while wearing a mask? Hilarious.
this video is so calming
SOO GOD
Thank you - i find your videos a real source of exploration.
Glad you like them!
The photo studio that used to be a shower well is awesome. Your store is so cool.
Not having a studio is a great way to save money. I work out of my apartment, too. Your books are beautiful. When it's time to print a book, do you use a printing company? If so, which one?
I really like your little shop/workshop. What kind of binding technique (3:08-3:56) was that person with the scissors doing?
That's a big book, how long did it take to paint it?
6:20 I love this suggestion, "every book is a film" - would love to hear your perspective on this!
