Look for something in the 8’6” medium range im8. If you have a bimart in your area check them out they usually have good deals. I fish Berkley Air’s but not sure they even make them anymore.

@@thefisheyetv cool, thanks. I’ll have a look at BiMart in wenatchee next time I go up that way. I was looking at 8’7” Ugly stik casting rods, medium action. I have no idea what make a casting rod different from a trolling rod. Probably just the tag lol.

Casting and trolling would be the same thing.

Various speeds depending on with or against current. 1.1 is always a good starting point in my opinion.

A little of the blood on that towel might have been from that fishes lip but there was prior blood on there as well from other fish. I believe some of the locals are pushing to kill them all. With that said I don’t think it’s as chock-full of them as they say. I’m not sure what wdfw’s stance is on removing them all is but if it’s legal, it’s legal so who am I to say. Anyways someone may be able to catch that and turn it in for some money at the derby. Anytime you release a fish there is a mortality rate but I think that one was probably ok.

@boredguys23 no problem. The fish scatter and move a lot so we may slay in a spot one day and not the next. Sometimes we cover a lot of water to find them and sometimes we don’t. Good luck on your next trip out.

We used all Phil’s tackle except for some flies I tied. You can see the dodgers and gear we are running. I will do more in the future where we highlight methods and tackle.
