Hopefully the children receiving a smaller box will not feel like they are less loved. It could be challenging for them to have the smallest box in the room. Please reconsider.

Great tips for smaller boxes. I like that you try to pack a few more quality items in these. I personally avoid boxes that are half the size of the GO boxes.

I am impressed by your work room, you are obviously a year-round shoeboxer. I prefer not packing markers because they dry out so fast, I don’t know if you have considered this in your packing plans. I suggest sticking with color pencils and crayons, added bonus they don’t turn into trash once finished with them.

Great kits! Ingenious use of the “bread tag” to hold line. I think you’re fine not sending artificial bait or lures. First, the soft plastic type can melt or get gummy in shipping. Second, if it had an attractant, it could cause the entire box (or carton of boxes!) to stink. We had a stinky one come through the processing center once, and it was almost totally ruined! 😢 And from a practical standpoint, baits and lures can be so specific. What works where you live may not be suited to India or Kenya or El Salvador…

I was just wondering if anyone has tried using vacuum seal on the stuffed animals and clothes to reduce the size? I have a vacuum sealer and I used it on sugar, the sugar became hard as a rock, so I didn't know what happened with soft plush items.
