I leave next week for a road trip across the us! I’ll be living in my truck camper with my boyfriend and my dog. I will also be alone with my dog for part of the trip. I’ll be working remotely while traveling and seeing lots of new places! This is what I packed for my clothes and toiletries for the trip!

To maintain the integrity of the hitch connection. It would have been better to file the middle hole for the bracket insertion.

And my Sub dealer wants $424 for just hitch, labor not included. What a joke!
Hello girls, it's okay to be alone, what if the two of us go camping together?
New subscriber here. Do you find it difficult not have a full bathroom or wet bath?
I don’t find it difficult at all! We have a cassette toilet which I was skeptical about but actually don’t mind at all. We do have an outdoor shower and it’s nice to have the option though definitely not as convenient as an indoor bathroom. I like not needing to empty any gray/black tanks. Emptying the cassette toilet is super easy.

Pies and pints is my favorite pizza! I recommend the black bean one. SO GOOD.
We did end up going and it was super good! We got a large half Gorgonzola and grape, and half Thai shrimp! So good!!
I roadtrip all summer every year in my little SUV. I pack much lighter than you do.I don't wear make-up and go really minimal on skin care items. I agree sunscreen is a must. I bring enough outfits for 1 week, because wherever I am, I can find a laundromat. Plus I pack 1 warm outfit and 1 outfit that is not too casual in case I am going out somewhere nice. I pack sport specific items, like a bathing suit and hiking shoes. Shoes are the biggest problem. I have it down to flip flops, good track shoes, hiking shoes/boots, rubber boots and 1 pair black flats to dress up in. So many shoes...lol Have fun on your trip!
That sounds awesome!! You are making me think about my clothes more haha. I have them all packed but have not loaded them into the camper yet- we leave in 2 days. Maybe I will try to take some more items out!! For shoes I am bringing- hiking shoes, running sneakers, crocs, and tevas
Yea this years bags are bigger than last years but still smaller than the originals. Definitely miss how much stuff you used to get in them. Also, it seems like this year, one is more of a beauty bag and the other is more of a wellness bag because it was supplement heavy. I still enjoyed them though. Nice video.

That is a challenge for sure!!! I usually sleep on the inside and if I need to get up to pee I just crawl over Josh… but it is not very graceful haha
We had a Yoho Love the Dickinson, but they don't offer it anymore.
What kind of heater is that?

It is a Dickinson propane heater! We also have an off brand diesel heater as well. Both work really well. The propane heater came with the camper and we installed the diesel heater

What model was the hitch
I love this. . Here is a idea. Find places that do wine tasting or wine pairing? Many places will provide you with snack food. It's great way to enjoy a Sunday afternoon.

Quick tip: you don’t need to file the hole. Just go in the opposite hole.
Wait there's a hole that's bigger than those so you dont have to file?
@@MagnumNYCyea, I actually did another crosstrek today. Fished wired the first set of bolts through the forward most holes to the rear most holes. Then reverse fished the second set of bolts in the same hole. (Forward most) didn’t need to file or enlarge any holes
@@godchampion9820 I have a 2024 but I haven't looked underneath. I'm hoping I dont have to file. Other videos show that the plate doesn't fit in the holes.
@@MagnumNYC have you looked into what hitch you are gonna get? Also, rewatching the video I noticed my bolt plates were thinner. So they slid right in those holes. In my experience if you have to enlarge the hole you can use a step drill bit that goes up to 1 5/8” and the spacer plate will go in no issue.
@@godchampion9820 Im going with a curt. i heard other people took the bumper off to avoid cutting but i havent seen a video or pics.

Did the hitch fit with out having to lower the exhaust ? I would like to put a hitch on mine,but dont want to deal with the exhaust,or future leaks caused by my moving it.
We did not have to lower the exhaust! Should not be a problem there
exhaust does not have to be touched for the install

They sell them in the spring time. They usually come out in march but this year was a little bit later
