Kiwami 2s fighting style suffered from the physics of the dragon engine. If I remember right there was an upgrade that allowed kiryu to gain more speed when the enemy is guarding. I also felt that weirdness and it’s mainly because of how the guard system was implemented from the dragon engine.

I must sincerely thank you for this video >.< I've bought both mkx and mk11 on sale recently and the speed of mkx was too much for my skill level to a point to where i felt i couldn't keep up and got burnt out from not learning combos fast enough But at the same time i felt sort of pressured into not liking mk11 as much even tho the same beaten points of why people dislike mk11 didn't quite make sense for me You've laid out why the game is bad without beating on Krushing Blows and the slower paced gameplay while also presenting points i haven't seen brought anywhere else like the online problem And now i feel confident in trying it out as a testing ground for combos knowing about the krypt, customization and currency's awful parts before trying mkx again If i ever get to be good at mk it may very well be because of ur video :3
