Thats fantastic to hear! I have to give a small disclaimer that I'm not an expert on the technical side but I can definitely tell you how I have my things setup - I record in 1920*1080 with the "high quality, medium file size" setting, MP4 format, Hardware (NVENC, H.264) encoder and default audio encoder (though this audio setting has been giving me issues) Now the trick for higher quality is actually that when I export it from the video editing tool I use, I upscale it to 4k - uploading 4k will force YT to use a higher quality encoder, if you check my oldest videos, they used to be uploaded in 1080p so the result was lower quality For the thumbnails, I use an extremely simple setup - Microsoft Powerpoint - yes, the slide presentation program - I have a friend who's a designer, he made the keyboard overlay for me and he also did the blue edges on the thumbnail, so I simply create a custom match with Portal, take a few screenshots with the HUD turned off, drop them on a Powerpoint slide, place the blue overlay, write some text and its done - I crop the screenshots to 1366*768 using Gimp or photoshop because thats closer to YT's resolution for thumbnails, then I export the slide from Powerpoint as a .png file I think if you want pure quality and have an nvidida card, nvidia shadowplay might be a better option than OBS - I only switched to OBS because of the keyboard overlay

@@jakefromabove_og Hey, thanks for your detailed reply! Yeah, I was looking for some videos and found a really good one about the best settings. (OBS is the best free recording software that even big youtubers use). And now i have the absolute best settings. I noticed that my videos are still very dark and I have the same problem with non-steam images, so I had to turn HDR off. I also had an annoying lagg issue, but I fixed that by creating a new bf2042 capture source in a new scene. now my captured games look amazing. I may delete my 76 kill game because of quality issues and will hopefully get more great games like this soon. I'm going to download microsoft powerpoint tomorrow and practice a lot if I have time next weekend.

@@Joshepstalin2 Thanks! they slowed down the movement in general, making the roll and yaw heavier and removing the auto stabilization - the thing is, for top pilots, this actually increased the skillgap, as now the roll is entirely controlled by the pilot.

With all due respect, you're immensely incorrect - firstly I only even started using an overlay because a large amount of people requested it, secondly it is minimally intrusive as its located in the corners of the screen, in an area that you would realistically never look at in regular gameplay, and consequentially so in watching. If you find yourself looking at it to the point it distracts you, I have to question the extent to which you even know what to look at, or what you're looking at, in helicopter gameplay of this sort.

I personally use default solely because I've already gotten hundreds of hours of muscle memory using it across 2042, BF3 and 4, but if you're just starting out you should definitely look into rifle aim, as it does allow you an unparalleled level of accuracy, which is especially noticeable in 1vs1 face to face nightbird duels, where a rifle aim pilot will be able to consistently shoot out enemy pilots. However, at the end of the day its all about what you yourself feel comfortable with, and whats important is that you pick one control method and just stick with it - I myself fly default and I dont think the results are too shabby: if you do choose to fly default its important to understand that you need to use and incorporate the roll as much as possible into your aiming; default also allows for a more movement based playstyle where your shooting of the enemies is integrated into very strong sideways and backwards flying manoeuvres that can make you virtually untouchable in the right conditions - rifle aim on the other hand can tend to make you play like a turret, hovering in a stationary manner and shooting at enemies from that floating position - this can make you more vulnerable to conventional attacks and can increase your effective downtime - what I like about my particular movement playstyle is that it allows me to seamlessly glide across the map, remaining effective even on the move.

Good question, I actually dont know for sure but I think its around 1 minute 45 seconds / 2 minutes - I use the keyboard and spacebar to choose and spawn vehicles

From what I've seen I'd agree that Delta Force is missing that hard to pinpoint Battlefield sweet spot, that even 2042 has. Though I hope that Delta Force is successful on its own right to put some pressure on DICE, and it does seem like its a fun enough game for fast paced larger scale infantry gameplay, like a mix of CoD and BF.

Map, the colder the map the darker the ground and the easier enemies are to see, the opposite the hotter the map.

As the other commenter said, it is simply based on the map you're playing - hourglass for instance is extremely bright which is unfortunate
