When I pulled back on the blinker assembly it came off easily. But when I tried to reinstall the assembly both plastic pieces attach to the car body disintegrated. Any idea where I can buy those?

i did only my lifterss but i got cylinder 8 and 1 misfire did whole tune up but still there , im not sure if the cam is fucked forsure, or if i should redo everything

I have a black 03 Z06 and love it! I’ve been an Amsoil dealer for 27 years so I believe in the products. Amsoil is literally top tier in every product they make! They buy competitive products when they formulate new Amsoil products to be sure that they are THE best and they don’t introduce them until they are. The huge manufacturers have access to the same ingredients but they have to meet pricing goals to compete at Auto Zone. Amsoil is more concerned about the quality. Amsoil states in their literature that they have never found a competitors oil that outperforms Signature Series. Try it, you might notice a difference. I use Amsoil multi vehicle auto transmission fluid in the 6 speed manual. The Torque Drive fluid is good, but it is more of a fleet fluid and doesn’t out perform the signature series multi vehicle auto transmission fluid. I’ve got Amsoil severe gear 75w-90 in the rear end but Amsoil also recommends their 75w-110 gear oil. I called Amsoil tech support and they said 75w-110 would protect better under shock loads, so I’m going to switch to the 110,along with the additive. Two other products that I use make a noticeable difference in performance. I buy the 87 octane gas and I add Amsoil Dominator Octane Boost, which boosts the octane up to 91 and I save a little cash and then the biggest improvement is the Amsoil Upper Cylinder Lubricant! The valve tick noise that was especially loud on start up when cold is now gone! Even when hot, the engine runs more freely and more quietly. I tried a bottle in my Buick Enclave and it was noticeably quieter as well. I also use Amsoil’s synthetic brake fluid and synthetic power steering fluid. I get the products at wholesale pricing and it’s only $50 a year to be a dealer with no order restrictions, so it’s a no-brainer.

To add to your list, I would recommend the Purolator Boss oil filter. Shell premium gas reportedly assists in cleaning the engine, along with the Techron treatments. Also, Chevron recommends no more than two Techron treatments between oil changes.

I just changed my C5 oil with M1 Supercar 0W40, funny enough, that is what is recommended on M1's website.

I got rid of all that gingerbread on my 99 C5 many years ago. I've owned and driven it for 25 yrs. It looks stock except for Zo6 wheels and has a pretty quiet exhaust. Does not look or sound like it would have a forged stroker 395 and a Procharger!

I put C7 base 18"/19" 5-spoke wheels on my C5 about 4 years ago. Same fitment as your C6 wheels. Used 25mm hubcentric spacers on the rear. Had no idea the gumby wheels were forged. Maybe I will pick up a set.

The wheel speed sensor could do that too

in Russia c5 vette is very rare, especially zo6(I've never seen it on aftermarket) Costs around $30-40 for a base model with $500 avg salary 😅 and this is even AT versions 😭😭😭 This is how the common car became luxury

Bought 4 c5's since 2020. Each one had filthy air filters because c5's are bottom feeders for air flow. Cheap to replace and easy to change. Why these are always ignored is beyond me. Not a major expense but worth inspecting. Another issue is the fuel gauge reading empty when there is fuel in the two tanks. Use Tecron fuel additives every other tank and if possible, use Shell Nito fuel which has Tecron. Another small issue. On all years with manuals and 1997-2000 automatics, there is a common issue of steering wheel lockout. A very easy fix is a simple aftermarket kit installed in the PCM. Before buying with the car off try to move the steering wheel. If it locks, then get the kit. If not, there were some recalls that may have been done. The last minor annoyance is the driver seat wobble. Hold the seat firmly and move it side to side and back and forth to feel wobbling. Another small and inexpensive fix exists.

I got my pump installed today. I only have 7mm bolts under the bumper and behind the wheel. Some put starhead screws on the wheel liner (3). Oh and you don’t have to take out the entire liner. Just half.

How are the lifters holding up? Did you use AMS own brand lifters?
