I was very disappointed that someone didn't escort the loud individuals out of the church last night during evening prayer. Why was it allowed to go on for such a long period of time? Evening prayer is a very solemn time for believers.

Heavenly Music ....I feel as if I am in heaven while listening to it...

The led lights in the Sanctuary are cold and off putting. Can’t you find a warm light? Also, it’s so intimate, why not just use candles. You might also light up the Clayton & Bell window at the reardos. The window is blocked of morning sunlight from the beautiful deco high rise, but mirror system and variegated lighting could work wonders. I watched the funeral of Father Alton the other day at Saint Clement’. No LED lighting, or if there is, it’s of an amber setting. Both Saint Mark and Saint Clement are Philadelphia treasures. I am so glad to see they are both going strong. What ever you do, don’t go woke. That’ll be the end of you. I’ve seen it happen to more Churches.

God Almighty delights in beauty and variety . There is nothing wrong in swinging incense as it has got nothing to do with idolatry. Incense played a vital role in the Old Testament Covenant Worship which condemned the worship of idols and statues . Incense signifies both Prayer and the Power of the Holy Spirit . May be Low Church Anglicans as well as the other evangelical and charismatic churches don't encourage rituals or ceremonies in worship . It's their view of worship . But I always respect and regard the High Church tradition . It has got nothing with idolatry or pagan worship . I request our beloved High Churchmen to hold our tradition in high esteem so that it will be passed on to the next generation.

Throwing the incense burner over in a circle is illegal by church decree.

One of my favorite hymns, so long as the organ has an outrageous 16' reed. A rattling posaune will do. An extra 32' reed is also nice. Either way, three of the verses should be reed heavy, and the pedal has to march steadily throughout. Oh my, how I do miss playing. If anyone out there knows the organist, please give her a high five from an old, retired organist.
