LINKS LISTED BELOW PLEASE READ Transalp 750 aux light breakdown. This was the very first video I recorded. After watching the finished work I realized I may have been vague/scattered on certain details. This was partially because I was trying to keep it short and it still ended up almost 23 minutes. My desire is to provide useful content so I appreciate any feedback that can help me do better i...

Me and Jeb just died laughing when you said hey TH-cam at the start
😂 not sure what else I'm supposed to say lol
XL750 owner and subscriber, thanks for the links. It's a shame that the USA model does not have fog light wiring in it's harness.
Agreed, I also wish we had the performance that the other countries have stock. I was able to get my ECU flashed so that helped.
I'm glad there are people like you out there finding solutions. I just ordered my parts to install this on my bike.
Hoping to get back at it soon. Life is busy and that makes it hard. I have my ECU coming back from 2 wheel dyno works soon and I hope to do a valve check video if time allows. Thanks for the encouragement!
Hi where do you get the 5 pin relay?
You should be able to get one at your local auto parts store but if not you can get them on eBay or Amazon.
@@slo_motoonce you get the 5 pin relay & yellow wire installed is that it or do you need another 12volt feed for low beam
Imagine
😂
Hola lleva cables laterales para los faros antiniebla
Not on the US model.
Well, that sucks. Any damage to body or bike?
None, crash protection worked great. There were scratches to the lower crash bars but no damage. Fortunately, I had a nice soft landing.
@@slo_moto not looking forward to dropping mine, no doubt will happen at some point.
Nice video. I have a 2024 TA and have added sw-motech bash plate, acerbis handguards, USB port, Radiator Guard, taller screen and thats it. I am going to do a significant suspension upgrade and have just about worked that out. Other than that I'm going to try and not go too crazy and keep the weight down a bit. Really enjoying the bike. Powder coating is a nice touch.
I'm interested in the suspension upgrade from price to performance. You'll have to let me know how it goes. Thanks for the encouragement. I need to get some more content out but time has not allowed me to do much lately. 🤞
@@slo_moto Maybe it's a case of quality over quantity. For the forks I am fitting valves and fork springs rated .75. This will suit me better as I weigh about 200lbs. For the rear I am getting a spring rated 114N. I pick it up from the shop tomorrow, I'll let you know what I think about it. Total cost will be equivalent to about $1100 USD, so it's a budget improvement but a repeated one that has been done by a well known off-road touring company who run Honda Transalps here in Australia. You can go the whole hog and spend quite a few thousand if you really want to, but given that I didn't hate the suspension anyway, but I did want it to be a bit firmer, I feel that this is about as much as I'm willing to spend on it.
Thanks great vid ps i love the Transalp
Thanks, loving my bike as well. 9000 miles so far.
Thanks for making this video.
I'm glad it was helpful!
Thinking hard about the transalp as my next bike. Look forward to your videos on it. Great video!
I'm loving the bike, life has been busy but I have content that needs editing. Hopefully I'll have a few videos to come real soon! Thanks for the feedback.
Very nice!.. I hear the air filter you have to remove the gas tank and it's a real hassle? I'll have to look into it because I'm thinking of getting this bike. Thank you
8k+ miles and enjoying every minute of it. I am considering doing an air filter video. It’s not time for it yet but I will probably put there it out there. Thanks for the feedback.
The airfilter access did bother me a bit too, I think it depends upon your riding, a friend of mine pulled his air filter out a few months ago after about 2 years and 17,000 klms (10,500 miles) and it was as clean as a whistle. He replaced it anyway as he'd already bought the new one, but he didn't need to. In the end I think this is a bit of an overblown issue, unless you're changing your airfilter by the side of the road its a pretty easy but not quick bit of maintenance.
Excellent how-to video. I will be doing this myself with the guidance you provided. Thank you so much. It looks factory on your set-up!
Thanks! If you have any issues let me know. I’ll do my best to elaborate further.
Well done. Looks tidy, and solves what I see as a glaring omission on this model. But the Transalp is a great bike for general use - now over 16,000 kms here in Australia (10k miles) - and I have been looking for just such a solution. The sunglare issue not so crucial, so long as it CAN be read, but keep us posted if you find a better model. Perhaps it needs a small sun-shade added? I already 'went down the rabbit-hole' of a 'bar mounted useless little one off Ebay, which was absurdly inaccurate, and a complete waste of time (for anyone thinking of one of those little units with a dial and an alloy 'bar mount - they don't work) so thanks for finding one that does. At least we presume it does. Kindly let us know about accuracy, and whether you find an easier-to-read model in the future. Thanks for the video!
I have a friend with an African twin and another with a t7. They both have factory gauges and mine is always within a degree of theirs. It is very accurate and I have also considered some type of eyebrow for mine. Other than the glare, I couldn’t be happier with it. I’m glad this helped and I greatly appreciate the feedback. I’m at 8k miles of pure enjoyment on my transalp.
@@slo_moto Excellent news - thanks for your prompt response. I will chase up the same unit. Looks quite OK set there - kind of balances the 12V outlet on the other side which I too already fitted. Yes, these bikes really grow on you - they're just so easy to ride - no stress. I'm off for an early coffee with the bike guys - 7.30 AM on a cold winter morning here in South Australia, yet I can't wait to get out on it!
@@patkennedy1 awesome, enjoy the ride. I’d love to visit Australia.
Pretty neat
Thanks, not sure if anyone will be interested but I thought I’d throw it out there.

8k+ Miles so far and loving every minute of it.

Thank you!
Slo_Moto! My hero
LOL, I appreciate it!
Awesome vid!! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks!
Picked up my 2024 on black friday last year. I really dig tbis bike. I just ordered a yoshimura slip on. Im not crazy about aftermarket stuff, but my right heel seems to always hit the stock muffler.
I can relate to the heel hitting the exhaust. I would love an aftermarket exhaust but a couple things prevent me from getting one. I may mention it in passing if an upcoming video.
Bought my Transalp last November. So far I've added the SRC skidplate and guard kit, driving lights, Honda hand guards. Built my own tail rack out of aluminum plate with a Nelson Rigg tail bag. Also built pannier racks for it out of 3/8" round rod. Just mounted a new set of Dunlop Trail Max Mission tires. Have a 3200 miles on it and satisfied so far. Some things I really like and a few things I'm not thrilled about. Turning the traction control off is a pain in the ass for sure. I'm headed to Maggie Valley in a couple of weeks for a week of riding. Can't wait😃
Maggie Valley will be fun for sure, turning off traction control hasn't been a big deal for me and although nothing is perfect, this is the bike for my foreseeable future. I would like to see what you have done with your tail rack and pan racks. I took my bags off temporarily because they were rubbing my plastics and the back of my taillights. I haven't decided what my long-term fix will be. For now, its a backpack.
@@slo_moto Send me a email address and I'll send you some pictures of the mods I've done. I have a well equipped shop and can build just about anything I need
@@slo_moto Got it Thanks
Cool! I love the Maggie Valley area and anywhere within a 6 hours ride of there.
Hey buddy I like the classy looking color coded racks and Barkbusters. A centre stand is essential and I recommend the SW Motech. PivotPegz footpegs are excellent. Also, before you get too reliant on your phone for navigation, consider a proper GPS navigator. The serious long distance tourers keep their phone in their jacket where they can get at it after a crash. I highly recommend the Garmin Zumo XT mounted on an SW Motech GPS bracket and wired to the bike. It sits above the standard display and even tells you the ambient temperature! Happy riding Geoff in Australia Transalp.
Awesome feedback and recommendations! Thanks! Also, I’m kinda jealous of y’all having the red white and blue with the gold wheels. I love that look.
well done, thanks for sharing, like those extra lights how you set them up with dim/bright.
Thanks! I’m waiting on my editor. Video has already been shot for the lights. Hope to have it soon.
Super cool. Thanks for taking the time. Looking forward to more.
Thanks for watching, I hope to have more to come soon.
I really am liking the powder coating. I wish I would have noticed 3d cycle parts had them already powder coated before I ordered my tail tidy etc from them. I added the wireless quadlock charger, it's surprisingly handy
I love the powder coat. The charger is something else I’m looking forward to adding as well. Phone’s are never charged when you need it. Thanks for the input!
Great video, looking forward to the next one. I also look forward to transalp content
Thanks for the encouragement! I’m looking into your content as well.
Awesome content! Looking forward to the future of your channel! At 1.5x speed of course.
