War Thunder | Optimal Climb Strategy for ARH Employment | F-16, AIM-120
I have seen multiple posts on the subreddit showing terrible climb profiles that are essentially zoom climbs to 30kft. These leave you with minimal energy & extremely vulnerable. It is better to climb relatively shallow, holding a high IAS. Not only do you get up to altitude fast enough, but you arrive going way faster. From there you could even do a substantially more effective zoom climb if you want to loft the missiles.
Speed is much more important than altitude for the missile's total energy. According to the laws of physics:
* Kinetic energy = Ek = (mv^2)/2
* Gravitational potential energy ("altitude energy") = Ep = mgh
The key variables we control are v - velocity and h - height. Velocity, however, is squared - this means velocity is substantially more impactful to the total energy you impart onto the missile launch.
tl;dr - Going fast is better than going high.
This is of course not to discount going high. These modern(-ish) planes can only reach these insanely high speeds at altitude anyway. Plus it gives the missile more opportunity to fly through thinner air, helping its energy conservation. The main point is you should be conserving your own energy rather than foolishly giving it up in a zoom climb right at the start of the match - but I digress.

BeamNG - Hotlap on Italy

A challenging mountainous loop. Not pictured: all the crashing to get this one clean run. There is probably a fair amount of improvement possible. Resetting constantly had me much better at the start than the end, so I was really trying to live rather than push by the climb portion. Improve on my time? Send me the vid! BeamNG.drive ESC bug(?) analysis
มุมมอง 424 หลายเดือนก่อน
Similar entry speeds, similar steering input, radically different ESC behavior. This shows buggy ESC behavior in BeamNG.drive. ESC appears to be prone to randomly locking the outer front wheel, inducing massive understeer. It makes the car extremely unpredictable and nearly uncontrollable. I am not exactly sure what triggers this behavior, hence me suggesting it is "random". There are a few thi...

Ace in a game! Always good to see. MiG-19 is a true rocket and excellent fighter but has no flares (even though it sees AIM-9L). Assetto Corsa Drifting without Handbrake or Clutch Kicking
มุมมอง 1709 หลายเดือนก่อน
I have seen many commenters and videos that recommend using the handbrake or clutch kicking to newbie drifters. Both of these are not actually necessary to drift, and I would argue dilute understanding of the car's behavior. In this video 100% of the rotation is coming from a combination of steering, throttle, and brake inputs - no handbrake or clutch! Setup: G29 w/ shifter Samsung G8 OLED monitor
War Thunder 1v2 | F-5C vs Mitsubishi F-1, F-5E | Rate Fight
มุมมอง 10111 หลายเดือนก่อน
Winning a 1v2 dogfight can be tricky, even with an energy advantage. Luckily the F-5C is just about the best rate fighter at 10.3. F-1 is pretty tragic but I don't care since I used to main Britain - the F-1 has same if not marginally better performance than Jaguar GR.1A (which I also have a 2:1 K/D in - keep in mind I regularly see F-5C players who are K/D negative or *pukes* BASE BOMBING). Finding the Reference Angle with a TI-84 Plus CE

People disliking are probably beyond stupid. This program delivers as advertised. If you can't handle it, maybe try something simpler than 8th-grade math. ClrHome Input "θ=",θ remainder(θ,360)→ θ If remainder(iPart(θ/90),2)=1 Then:Disp 90-fPart(θ/90)90 Else:Disp fPart(θ/90)90 End
Ti-84 Plus CE Simplifying Radicals
มุมมอง 5K7 ปีที่แล้ว
Faster than your brain eh This works on the principal y*((x/y^2)^0.5) = x^0.5 to simplify radicals using a for loop and running through 40. There is possibly a faster way to do this by cutting Y off when it could not possibly be a valid integer, but then for large numbers it'd take longer, so I chose to just go to 40 or 50 because it is still reasonably fast. Code: ClrHome Disp "√(X) Input "X="...

W tutorial
yeah but altitudemay not be as important for energy, it is however very importent due to less drag, therefore higher energy retention. i value both factors equally or tend a little more to speed (1:1,25)
I mention this in the description of the video. This video is mainly a reaction to very poor zoom climb profiles that were upvoted on Reddit
Doesn't matter how fast you are as long as you are above mach so it doesn't waste energy breaking the sound barrier. Altitude also matters more than speed. The more gravity the missile can use to hold speed the better, because 8 seconds after you fire it it's losing speed anyway.
The video directly addresses why speed is more important than altitude.
Instead of flying level, I fly at a 20* angle ascending until I get to about mach 1.02(and when I am I’m already at 10m feet) then I pull up to a 50 degrees angle. I get up to 30ft by the time everyone pass the 2nd airbase. You loose a lot of speed doing this but you have plenty of time to get it back whilst scanning for targets. I’m normally the 1st person to get up to that altitude in matches, which helps tremendously to getting in the first shot against other high flyers.
one of the first to realise that speed gives the Missles an advantage... Does Manual loft work in WT?
You deserve more attention bro, keep it up!
What car is this I’d say I can do it but I’d pick and easy ass car that has 1000hp lol
It is M3 E30 Drift, about 350 hp
@@HarryTheOwlcat sheesh impressive do you have a wheel personally on keyboard rn the bmw had always felt too grippy until I learned about tire pressures and also that it comes stock with slicks
@@Realisticskate yes, a G29, I think this would be impossible with keyboard only Also this is on street 90s tires not semislicks
@@HarryTheOwlcat may aswell give it a try impossible can only become possible and I have the same map downloaded already
@@HarryTheOwlcatI hit a 360 and a wall tap with no clutch kick or hand break let’s gooo peep the page they goin up soon

Is there one for cube root
You can generalize the approach I used, check the description. It may be as simple as replacing sqrt with cube root and ^2 exponent with ^3 but I'd have to check.

How do you put this into your calculator?
Its in the description -Go on computer or pc -Copy the code under the line -Open ti connect -connect ur calculator -open program which should be the third tab -new program -Paste the code -name code if you like -import
I mean its been 8 months so idk if this would help at all lol
imagine getting bunny tech'd
You are the man! Thanks for the help. you probably should explain how to program it.
Sorry I didn't see this comment sooner. You can copy/paste into the TI Connect software and send it to your calculator, or you can type it in as it is into a new program.
what do you press after you type in the number you want to find the square root of? I'm pressing enter but it is saying there is a "syntax error".
You've typed in the code incorrectly, check it again or you can use the TI Connect software to put my code directly on your calculator.
i copy and pasted it into ti connect
Check each line and see if it's correct or try it again, it's probably just a character out of place. Or you can try typing it manually.
it seems to only work with perfect squares like 25 or 81, it errors when given 360.
That is taken care of the first 7 lines, which means the error is somewhere between line 8 and 15. Verify it's all correct
this was the best trade deal in maybe the history of ever.
how did you get to that program that says square root of x?
You must put in the program that I put in the description, hit PRGM and the program will be there
Thanks for this, a nice simple program for just simplifying the root
THANK YOU SO MUCH
