Reaction to Supernatural 15x01 (Final season premiere)

October 10th, 2019 My reaction to the season 15 premiere, this video does not have the footage of the actual program. This video is to watch along with me, kind of as a coping mechanism for the show ending.

😭😭😭😭
i feel like _if we're together_ is intentionally put together as kind of an uninspired-ish number, reflecting the fact that buffy's heart really isn't in it, and that giles's look is the look of a mentor who knows his charge isn't giving it her all. which, like pretty much everything else in the episode, was actually rather inspired. can a song be inspiredly uninspired? is that even a comprehensible concept?
i am obsessed
ECHOENDIENEISN

I doubt youll read this, since im late to the party, but during giles' training song i did reach out and touched your hand.. fantastic episode, greetings from holland
AWW 🥹
Jack could've brought cas back. He did it once before not too long after he, Jack, was born. In other news, I don't like the ending either.
❤
Probably my sing!e favorite episode of any TV show ever. Your extreme familiarity with this episode feels well justified to me.
The Handprint makes it a HUNDRED times worse.. 😑😑
Aly only has a couple of solo lines, as does Michelle, they didn't really want to sing. You can see Michelle's professional dance training in her scenes. By Contrast Tony Head and James are actually in bands. 11:08 Love Tara's 'Jazz Hands'! 23:28 David McClure Brinkley (July 10, 1920 - June 11, 2003) was an American newscaster for NBC and ABC in a career lasting from 1943 to 1997. It's so amazing the way the songs can be sung together, first Giles and Tara, then Buffy and Spike in the final song with everybody joining the last line. I also love the other song Anya sings in a later episode.
oh yeah! “i’ll be mrs.” from selfless!! i completely forgot about that!!
If you haven't yet seen THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW, you absolutely owe it to yourself (consider it a late birthday present) . Also really entertaining songs, fantastic characters. And if you can film yourself watching it with the movie actually on the screen, lots of people will watch and recommend. Honestly, it's a crowd favorite. When I left the LSAT, I had Where Do We Go From Here in my head. I can't guarantee it was related to the song, but the brilliant fucking episode might have made me psychic for a day. Honestly, we both know it's that good.
David Brinkley was a well-known, respected news anchor for many years (worked from 1943 - 1997). I think he was in his late 70s when he retired so most of us Buffy viewers at the time knew him mostly when he was older. Yma Sumac, that Spike mentions, was a Peruvian singer who was well-known for her wide range. Sweet was played by Hinton Battles who was a veteran Broadway performer, so you were right. I can remember the first time I saw this when it first came out, I was just stunned at how good it was. I bought the cd as soon as it was available which was I think a year later. Unless you recorded the episode, it was not available to rewatch or listen to until the dvd or cd release came out. It was a long wait. And you are right about Anthony Stewart Head. I love his albums. I think some of the scenes were shortened for airing (maybe even deleted), but the network did allow the episode to run longer when it first aired. Season 6 ages better as you get older because it's more based in 'real' adult life situations and is a great season-long metaphoric exploration of depression which, yeah isn't full of laughs so at the time, I'm not sure a lot of viewers enjoyed seeing 'depressed' Buffy and some of the relationship splits between the friends, but it did allow the show and characters to grow which is why it stays so relevant. Glad to see you enjoying the episode so much.
I remember always loving season 6! i think i said i was around 13/14 when i first watched this season and i really related to buffy because I was going through some tough inner stuff at the time as well. I always appreciated when shows actually went there, because a lot of shows have tried but ended up just glorifying depression, but buffy did it in a way that was right and realistic for her character as depression affects everyone differently, which we also see demonstrated. i’m 20 now and i still ADORE season 6. it’s such a shift, and while i do love early seasons buffy, there’s something so rich and beautiful about introducing these real world problems as our characters get older to kind of tackle the many issues of adulthood as opposed to in their teens. i feel like kids and adults of all ages can relate to this season and that’s such a hard thing to do as a writer - appeal to such a BROAD audience especially with such a sensitive subject matter. man i love this show thank you so much for your comment!!! 🤗♥️✨
What I thought was cool was in season one when she faced the Masters vessel during the harvest she did the same move with her jacket in the exact same place in the bronze Edit. Also including the pool stick move as well.
I loved seeing you fan girl for Spike. It was so relatable.
this edit slaps and i’m still really proud of it 💅
Tony Head also performed in The Rocky Horror Picture Show...just saying.
This episode is not only a great musical, it was a great way to bring all the shadowy secrets out into the light. And the disharmony in Buffy's song reflects how she feels every waking moment...
Amber Benson was awesome as Tara. She has also published! Fantasy, urban fantasy, horror, young adult fantasy...
Also James Marsters is absolutely brilliant as Spike.
Joss Whedon turns out to be a dick - a brilliant but flawed man. We love Buffy and other Whedon shows despite his flaws - the ensemble casts are superior.
144 episodes in Buffy, so you averaged over 2 episodes per day. Nice!
bestie i’m pretty sure a woman in white is any woman who’s husband is unfaithful so she murders her children
i may upload the full reaction if you guys are interested. it’s got some pretty interesting theories of how “cas isn’t gonna die” and then the inevitable ending
best they good do with covid19 they wanted everyone to end the show but that was impossible
misha was never supposed to be in the finale
seen reaction videos cry every time along with you
I really enjoyed watching your reaction. I only started to watch this on Netflix in 2021. I got to watch each season, episode after episode, without the wait that shows have with summer breaks, writers' strikes and the all the commercials. It really helped me get through a very sad time in my life when my sister who is one year and three weeks younger than me was diagnosed with issues with her brain such as confusion and memory loss. I cannot imagine the number of years that fans waited through to see every episode! What a ride it was. I know that the writers had a different ending planned where everyone would reassemble in heaven but COVID stopped the last few episodes from March of 2020 until November of 2020. Dean and Sam would have been shown that kind of heaven that we all hope and pray for. When you read about how much the pilot episode was like this only with Sam and Dean's original lines in the series finale being said in reverse (Sam to Dean and ending with Dean to Sam and the bridge and similar clothes in the pilot and them wearing the same clothes paying homage from the pilot episode) it ties in really beautifully. Thanks for sharing your emotions and thoughts. God bless you and stay safe in 2021!
Im a 34 year old dude and this episode broke me... Not cried this to much to any show ever. It was a shame we didn't see any of the other Cast members for the last episode. But Covid kinda screwed with the episode alot. They did say they had diffrent plans for alot more of the cast members to be in Heaven with them.. Id love it if they reshot this episode once Covid all ends and have everyone there. But this Is Spn and i think we will see our boys again one day it's not like they not come back to life before and don't forget heaven is pretty much a whole new world now so they could very well have something set up there. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Keep posting new videos :)
Pass the tissue box. We all felt the same way. Dean promised us no chick flick moments in the pilot but I think they saved all 15 seasons worth and poured it into one episode I'm calling Beaches 2 electric boogaloo. The only way I see them coming back is if Jack decides there is a huge threat affecting the world or heaven or the cosmic balance of life and he has to recreate their bodies molecule for molecule as his only solution to set everything right. The impala should still be in Sam's garage, Castiel has been recreated right down to the crack in his chase we all love and BOOM! we have our way of bringing back Supernatural.
I'm still that messed up months later
same bro same
Thank you fellow fans and thank you Supernatural . We will miss you
I am just gonna say this if they decide to come back to the show they can do several year or decades time jump. Monsters get out of hand for the hunters on earth so jack personally comes to them in heaven and offers them new bodies on earth to help combat the problems and that they will have a hand of protection over them from death and once they clean up the earth they can choose to come back to heaven or stay and live another life.
Man I spent so many years of my life watching this show, seeing Dean die was so hard. I cried so much. It was a great show.
You slapping your face to the beat in the song was gold
It made laugh :)
I'm a Since Day 1 SPN Family Member And i Understand your point on that ending but covid fucked the actual ending up everyone John Mary Rufus Jo Ellen all would have been there waiting on dean i truly believe it would have made the ending better but they did what they could with who they had its ashame tbh like you this show and family have gotten me through the last 15 years of my mental health i cant wait for the reboot whenever that is and fyi i'm a big guy iike jared size and i cried like you we will always be SPN Family Even in 50 years <3 :(
It's not an excuse to not have Misha in the show corona prevented him and others from coming out this wasn't the original ending the original had all the main characters in their life coming out
This is a challenge for me at this point... a no-cry challenge... I'm on about 20 reactions now and, yeah... still haven't made it through one without crying.
Jared’s the one that decided on all the stuff from the pilot episode. They’ve been saying that the Covid restrictions made it impossible to bring everyone back. They wanted to bring everyone back in the original ending before it was changed. Misha wasn’t there because he was filming a movie called the Amazon during the filming of the finale. I didn’t like the ending much. It was 50/50 for me. I was okay with Chucks ending, Castiel’s ending and somewhat Dean’s ending but not Sam’s. Everything after Dean’s death I didn’t agree with. Sam should have stayed alive. And yes they should have had Castiel meet up with Dean on the bridge instead of Sam. I wanted them to atleast keep one of the brothers alive since they kept saying they wanted to bring the show back later on(or a movie) and that’s the only way I saw that happening. I wish they brought Gabriel back. They had so much they could have done with him. He’s such an amazing character and Rich is so amazing with his acting. If they ever make a spin-off series I want it to be about Castiel and Gabriel mostly and maybe Jack.
I watched quite a few reactions after the finale, just trying to find help processing what I saw. Some were good, some were bad...yours was on the money. Almost the exact reaction I had. I was initially pissed, but after a lot of thought I realize it was the best possible ending, aside from so many actors not being able to join due to Covid, and of course, Sam’s horrible wig. 3 days later though, I’m still gutted. Keep posting stuff. You’re hilarious and entertaining. Also quite gorgeous. Carry on. 😉
great video,,you did amazing saying what you felt right from the heart.. cute puppy..love the name lol..my name is Will Dean
I'm afraid Dean was more realistic about humans and angels and demons. I mean Jack as a higher celestial being new being at the bunker with the boys was unworkable, and Cas is an angel. They are not on the earth to partake of the pleasures of the flesh. If Dean seems unconcerned about Cas it's because he is aware that ultimately Cas would return to heaven (or in this case as he sacrificed himself, in the empty) Jack said he'd be a hands off God, Cas equally would have no reason to be on earth to 'interfere' with man's everyday life.
To paraphrase a different show: "Everybody knows that everybody dies, and no one knows it like the Winchesters."
I'm still sobbing this episode is for sure the heaviest most emotional episode on TV EVER! I've never felt like this before 😭😭😭you're not alone we're all in this together ❤️ I think the ending couldn't be more perfect <3
Well... this was an embarrassing experience I probably shouldn't have shared on the internet for all to see. Idk, maybe this will make other fans feel less alone (by knowing I'm crying right there with you - and with an uglier crying face!) thanks for all the nice feedback, it was really fun going on this journey with you guys. If anyone wants to see my reaction to other moments in season 15, let me know! I decided to record my reaction to the entire final season, kind of as a time capsule, and it would be kind of cool to share!
Nah don't be embarrassed...you weren't the only one crying
You have a lovely face. Rather angelic.🙏🏻
I love you mishacklecki. Don't be embarrassed a lot of us were crying.
Please upload everything
Don't worry about being embarrassed. I'm an over 40 year old man, I cried just like you and I keep crying each time I watch that episode or even reaction videos with only the sound of it. In fact I had to hold back my tears as I was watching yours (or at least try to). To think that I was so young when the show started (probably around your age) and for it to have lasted for so long is amazing. The finale was just overwhelming. That really was a hell of a ride.
Ngl I had a bit of a panic attack wow still am been watching the show since the first episode
Also as far as a "come back" theory, Jack is god, he is off doing "whatever wherever" what if that whatever is creating a new reality and in doing so he creates a problem only the winchesters can solve. You think that everyone is the same age as their "hayday" in heaven then anyone and everyone can come back for a reboot in this new reality of jacks creation to help out
