Nice car and love the sound. If u don't mine me asking what headers did u use? I have a 302 in my 75 comet with gt40 heads and cant find a pair that fit without modifying the shock towers.

No where as nice as that ride... but In high school I had a 1971 Maverick 302 black on black with cragar ss mags, skinny vw tires on front and dayton tires on the back, headers, alum intake Holley 4 barrel, accel dist and wires, All SUN guages tach and oil on the column. Fuel gauge on the outside vents and cluster of three under dash. Oh... And what made that car run was the 411 gears and taction bars... Thanks for reminding me of some good times...

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars, trucks and busses including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing petrol stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. They even plan to reduce the pump speed of public gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to only 2 litre per minute to punish owners of combustion cars....from 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a completely new kind of crime here in Germany, called emissions and smoke crime :-((
I put a 351w HO crate engine in my '71 Maverick Grabber and some performance mods. C6 transmission, 9" 3:91 Detroit-Locker rear, 4 wheel disc brakes from a Lincoln Versailles and 1965 Thunderbird sequential tail lights. It came from the factory with every option that was available in '71 for a Maverick Grabber.
There's a couple things I can't stand on any car ... one is a giant distributor cap that's almost as big as the carburetor, and two is sloppy spark plug wires just dangling all over the place like spaghetti
I was hoping you were going to turn it lose but you have some restraint a lot more than me I built mine to be driven and that's what I do on the weekend I drive it I love it you have a beautiful car though I have a 72 grabber red like yours no strips though and a silver 72 GT comet with strips and a 71 solid black maverick with a 428 cobra jet mustang engine in it but the red 72 has a build 306 with a 5 speed and its the funnest of them all anyway just glade see another Maverick person out there have fun and please be safe

@@oceanhome2023 I don't drive it on long touring cruises. With it's current diameter tires, the rear gear ratio is roughly 3:55.

There isn't a small performance distributor available, HEI, MSD, ACCEL etc are all big. They have to accommodate 8 plug boots, knucklehead.
I tried to find a small distributor on your car but like so many big mouthed fools on TH-cam, you have nothing to show on your channel 😂
