SEPTA and CSX @ Yardley

Yesterday I spent an afternoon at Yardley Station to catch CSX trains for my first trip of the year. The first and last trains I caught were CSX and the rest were SEPTA. The last train also had an SD70MAC leading.
New Year’s Eve Trains and a 4-way meet @ Newark Station, DE

For my last train trip of the year I went to Newark Station to catch some high speed Amtrak trains. I ended up catching a 4-way meet between Amtrak, SEPTA, and a crawling Norfolk Southern ethanol train. The trains were pretty slow at first due to trackwork, but after work was done they picked up speed.
Woodstown Central 9 on the Santa Claus Special

Today I headed down to the Woodstown Central to catch the Santa Claus Special train lead by the newly restored No. 9 steam engine. Listen to that glorious whistle! I actually tried chasing it but I couldn’t get the shot I wanted so I went back to my original spot.
An Action Packed Thanksgiving Sunday @ Princeton Junction

Last Sunday I headed back up to Princeton Junction to watch trains on the busiest day of the year. Needless to say I caught tons of action, as well as a whole lot of horn.
WPMI-61 rolls through Glassboro in both directions

Last night I caught Conrail’s MI-61 in Glassboro led by two rebuilt NS Geeps. An hour later, both units came back the other way with no train attached.
An Afternoon of Trains @ NJT’s Union Station

On Friday I headed up to Union Station on the Raritan Valley line and spent about 5 hours there. I caught Norfolk Southern, CSX, and of course NJ Transit action. I didn’t see any freight trains until about 2 hours into my visit and in hindsight I should’ve came later than I did I also cut a couple captures short to save time.
CSX Manifest and SEPTA @ Langhorne

Yesterday I went up to Langhorne for a couple hours to catch some CSX trains. I only caught one of them and he slowed down to a stop at the rail yard just up-track. I did see plenty of SEPTA’s though.
Trains and a Maintenance Car @ Overbrook

On Saturday I spent a few hours at Overbrook Station and caught 3 Amtrak Keystones, the Pennsylvanian, and a catenary maintenance vehicle. Oh, and some SEPTA’s of course! I haven’t posted in a while because I’ve been busy with college, so expect fewer uploads in the near future.

On Thursday I went to West Trenton to catch some Septa and CSX action. I was only able to see one short CSX local, so most of my catches were Septa’s. One of them included the PRR sticker unit.

For today’s video, I went to Woodbury to catch the Conrsil WPCA-11 local. It had two Ex-Conrail SD40-2’s in the lead, and it was moving at less than 10 mph.

Today I went to Whitford Station on the Keystone Corridor. I went here primarily to catch a GE Genesis before they’re retired. I caught 2 of them and one was a Phase II unit! Believe it or not, my catches today are almost an exact mirror of last time I was here.

@@foamymcfoamface7328 But the front of looks bad since it looks like a regular CSX gevo with old railroad colors. You can't just smack an old railroad's name onto an ES44AH by leaving the from in dark blue and yellow and call it a heritage unit.

I absolutely love this scene.
A single lite unit would be restricted to 30 mph. Also the train had a clear signal and the Geep had an Approach signal meaning prepare to stop at the next signal. That’s how it was in 2019 when I retired. Rules do change all the time. I could be wrong.

It was raining...of course there was gonna be arcing! Constant tension catenary doesn't eliminate arcing either - and the project isn't finished yet so they've yet to raise train speeds
