@peterigas2494 it just seems like the companies pitch to the investors was that they are so good at what they do, they can make the best of the best even better so we should be worth billions. Then when asked about their products they produce, they say we will make their product better. Not that they have a product worth billions but they are going to make the competitions product better. So they have nothing and think they are the best. So they talk real confusing like they have a great idea to change the best of the best. How do the best of the best get where they are then need ginkgo to make them better ? And how is ginkgo worth billions for making the best big pharma even better. Just seems like a no brain operation that needed to be shorted until they are removed from the market lol

Hi. I have no investment in Ginkgo - I began learning synthetic biology in my Statistics Masters following my Mathematics degree. I am genuinely interested in technologies and the platform that they offer, and felt that through these videos I can comment on many topics of their business that appear to have red flags.

Yeah I have listened to Cathy’s talk on Ark’s investment portfolio and, at least to me, it seemed like she made some very general comments about NGS etc etc without specifying any major breakthrough that the foundry can provide. Maybe they will prove us all wrong lol, but for now we are still waiting….

I also find it really funny that the board of directors never passed on an opportunity to cash out millions in stock options, but when supposedly negative financial performance comes in, they are very quick to penny pinch by laying off hard workers. If someone loses his or her job, its only a matter of time before they go broke because any savings will dry up, especially with inflation. The same observations go for the Biotech company that I was with before they did a mass layoff - they laid me off to not have to pay my salary anymore so that they can accumulate funds to pay the severance of the next employee that will be laid off. It’s a complete sign of disrespect to everyone who worked very hard to get to the company in the first place.

Despite COVID and HIV both being RNA based viruses, there are differences between how each infects a host which would make me think that a COV2 infection would not protect against HIV. In the other case for SARS 1, I would think that having an infection from COV2 would protect from an infection from SARS 1, not only because both viruses can infect epithelial cells and impact respiratory function, but also because there were significantly lower orders of magnitude of infection for SARS 1 in comparison to those for COV2.
