Bad spray technique
So glad found this video now I can finally fix mine lol
Always wanted an lr4, this is why i never got one 😅
Same thing was happening to my Chevy until I sprayed it out with an air compressor I had probably 3 pounds of rust dust and chips
Who cars it new junk designed only work for so many months and miles and then to fail you to buy another one and then people try to rebuild it and cost them money
The DOT needs to start subsidizing new car purchases with how much salt they throw everywhere. Like why can’t people buy snow tires or snow rated tires?
would undercoat from new prevent this?
Absolutely. You have to do it annually tho, maybe every other year. There is no product on the market that is a one and done when it comes rust prevention. Anybody who says so is a liar.
I think that whats wrong with my 2.7 l 2002 the lifter has small pasages to oil them poor design i assume.
NEW YOAK
My 14 is rotted same both spots
Hey bud I like the show, but I’d do it in my free time not on the clock. But thank you for the opportunity anyhow. I love digging deep to find the actual case of problem. And bud if you wanna be TikTok famous, maybe not take from the owners time and money. Aka your 9-5.
People dont understand the magic of spraying the underside of their vehicle with a bunch of wd40 every 6 months or yearly.
"Boxed" frame with no drains rot even faster than the old school frame
I have a 2014 ram. Used fluid film every fall since new only a little surface rust on the driveshaft and rear end. I spray that stuff on everything including pulling the body grommets. Cab is rust free too.
Did you pay a shop? If so how much?
I am a diesel tech. So for me it is easy to do because I have access to a shop with a lift and compressor. To do it right and get into the frame rails, you need to get a professional kit about 100 bucks, but that was ten years ago. Then you just have to buy a refill of the fluid. They do have spray cans, too, but you can't really get the spray into the frame. I have no idea what it costs to pay to have it done.
Can flex plate make a rubbing sound against the case while you’re driving on a turn but when you keep it straight, it might goes away
How often do you recommend underbody washes in the winter when there is salt? I use the touchless carwashes at BP which have underbody wash about biweekly
I recommend that as much as possible. But on top of that once a year at the end of winter somebody should pull covers and and do a thorough cleanup and wax treatment.
Don't speak... I know just what you saying... I must jack my control arm to check my ball joints...
Ford GM can’t build a real good quality car or truck why? They suck 2018 it’s not that old and why even spend that money on junk.
The coyote is a good engine, I ran one to 280k before trading it in no issues at all. 😂
typical pos ford barley 100k miles on it and ythe pos broke allready ...CHEEP UNSAFE TRASH FORD ....only one way to fix a pos for and it makes for good sight ..SEND IT THOUGH THE CRUSHER go home knowing you made roads safer agian
Another reason to get out of NY.
Thx for wasting our time buddy
Junk
I tell you these so called ase master diagnostic techs at these dealers are FULL OF 💩💩💩
Aluminum and steel do not like each other they're not friends they tend to corrode heavily quickly
Ford and those damn seperator plates…..youd think after 60+ yrs theyd come up with something better
Found On Road Dead once again
Yep, because Ford is stupid and likes to add things no one else in the industry does, like putting a dissimilar metal plate between the engine and transmission for some reason known only to the morons at Ford. Something tells me that most people would hear this and sell the vehicle, likely because a mechanic said it was going to cost them a couple grand for a new transmission. I love engineering stupidity, its so wasteful and awesome.
Shit looks awfully corroded for 64k
Bi-metal corrosion. Aluminum and steel do not like contact....
I work almost solely on Transit 250's (typically from 2018 to 2023) and it's funny to me that these things will have rust within one year. Fortunately I haven't had to go into the engine or transmission yet (zero formal training)
It's like living on Mars when you live in the midwest Rust Belt the salt is so corrosive
I suspected my 23 Expy with 3.5 Ecoboost of this. Turned out the rattle was the wastegate. But check these out SSM52610 and SSM52295
Anyone that buys any newer vehicles has completely lost their mind
What d0 you do if you own a small construction company?
Rust never sleeps
It's better to burn out than fade away.
Millions of cars drive in similar conditions and don't have that problem. Either poor engineering or poor assembly. Either way, stay away. 3 years old and needing the tranny pulled for any reason is ridiculous. Prob isn't even covered due to mileage.

That’s a really cool way to balance those batteries thank you for sharing

U mean a gayote engine
Canada has been destroying vehicles for decades. The amount of road salt we mindlessly use, draw wildlife to the highways. You guessed it. Accidents caused by distracted driving. Oh you thought canada would blame the wildlife. Oh no. Canada hates Canadians
This is not a wise thing to do it can pop any second
A five minute fix that will last one minutes.
its just a real crappy design.
Simply coating, plating, or painting the steel spacer between the box and block would’ve prevented this. Either that or Chinese steel used for the spacer. Cheapskates at Ford saving pennies and costing customers $100s. Well done ! 👍
transiting it back and forth from the shop and thats about it. fuck cars.
This is why you don’t play around with oil changes
How do you pull the old seals out?
I’ve done this to get by!! It works
If your stuck somewhere that's fine but change that tire ASAP!
