I just got mine today and whacked a few seeds in. They are AMAZING!
6a... I'm just stoked to have compost 120*f over ambent this time of year.
@@GetFitEatRight that’s awesome and it’s a journey but when you get things worked out it’s incredible how well vegetables will grow! Thanks for your comments 🙏
Your set up is awesome! I just found your channel. How long have you been doing this? My wife and I made a decision that we are starting to grow/raise or hunt our own food in pursuit of a healthier lifestyle. And I really like how your plants are staggered in their growth stages. Like you have fresh veg almost at all times, one is right behind the other. Your gardens are goals sir!
I started in 2013 after surviving cancer. Built my small greenhouse and purchased the large a few years ago. Market garden techniques is the way to grow organic vegetables. I have several years of videos on this topic. Best wishes and happy growing for health 🙏
Thanks for sharing and inspiration. My broccoli has been growing on through the summer in north Florida. Though it's not as lush the second time around, for kicks, I broke off a piece, stuck it in a pail if water and forgot about it. Found it later full of roots, so replanted it and it's thriving! We braise and eat the leaves too, so at least, it will provide those for us.
@@dazey2002 I haven’t tried that with broccoli, thanks for sharing. Thank you for your support and comments 🙏
Happy holidays!
Happy Holidays to you too!
I'm in Citrus County and have been growing snd learning for msny, many years. I started propagating last season. I got 1 fig tree (brown turkey), 1 citrus but I lost the label unfortunately, 3 Barbados Cherries and I had a huge success with Loquats. I planted about 25 seeds expecting to maybe get a couple to germinate. All 25 germinated. I gave away half of them and no one else wanted any so I planted another dozen as a hedge. I just couldn't throw them away. It is a delicious fruit (unfortunately the squirrels think so too) but maybe with all that I planted they will leave me some. I also bought a few tree covers so I can keep some fruits from my other stone fruit trees I planted. I did get bananas again this past season, mandarin oranges and some Ruby Red Grapefruit as the critters don't seem to like citrus. Every spring is so exciting to me. I can't wait to see what will get buds and how msny. My trees are fairly young so I keep hoping for a good harvest. I wrote you last year about your Rosa Bianca eggplants and I will be trying them this year. Thsnks for all the good info. Your Florida neighbor. Happy growing!
Propagating is addictive, sounds like you are hooked! Happy growing and thank you for your support and comments! I was up in Crystal River at Growing Back to Eden helping Nick the other day.
Wow - the garden is robust and so green!
@@alinapatricia8639 thank you 🙏 everything is thriving!
Glad you are all safe.
@@kathleenmead9259 thank you 🙏
Love your greenhouses - thanks for sharing! Was curious to know how your setup held during the storms. My garden would do better with protection, but the thought of another storm like Michael gives me pause. Frost here in NW Florida last night - basil and tender herbs got nipped.
Having a greenhouse has been a game changer for me, keeping excess rain(water) off the vegetables has been invaluable. If you grow year round I would recommended having one. Helps with frost issues and allowing for a shade cloth during our extreme summer temperatures. 😊I just saw a post from a Farmer Tanner in my zone 9b, he removed the greenhouse film for the hurricane and has since lost his tomato plants. This is the first time I had any damage from a hurricane, 70 mile an hour winds. Best wishes and thanks for your comment!
Love watching your garden grow!
Thank you 🙏 So do I, it’s a joy to watch!
I will not be planting my seeds until spring of 2025. I think planting in the fall is not a great idea because when winter arrives then less sun is visible, and it is colder outside. Light from the sun is an important part of growing! I have a smaller greenhouse, and I will not be building it until spring of 2025, and I am considering buying a bigger greenhouse.
I appreciate your comment. I have been growing in Zone 9b for 11 plus years with great success year round. Seed selection is different for my fall crop VS spring crop. Having a greenhouse has been a game changer, also a shade cloth (30%) during the extreme heat of our summers. Best wishes growing! Thank you for your comments!
What kind of basil do you grow?
Genovese Basil, purchased from Johnny Seeds.
Clean set up and beds!
Yes! Thank you!
Happy vegies! Thanks!
Thank you too!
Excited to try the Pac Choi.
It’s excellent!
wow - the bokchoy is robust! amazing.

EXCELLENT VIDEO ❤ FROM AUSTRALIA. I NEED TO MAKEIT SNAKE PROOF. KING BROWNS😊

@@kathleenmead9259 Thanks. The greenhouses held up well with wind gusts around 70 MPH. Very thankful and grateful.
Hope there's not going to be serious damage from the hurricane.
@@alinapatricia8639 Thank you. Well the greenhouses held up well. Wind gusts of around 70 MPH. The sad news is the coast line sustained a lot of flooding. Praying for those folks .
Maxijet stake for .85 cents?
Amazing garden! Looks like we’re both growing in the same area. Hope to have even half the success you’re having!
Thank you and best wishes
first time gardening. Tomato's and cucumbers in pots. Soil dry every day, not sure what's a good mulch.
Try to cover the soil with tree mulch if necessary. Also you might need to water twice a day. I use a compost, has lots of organic matter in it like twigs and decaying leaves. It’s the best for growing for my context.
I don't say this much and usually trolling on the Internet But I like you guys and well done on the dog run
Hijab power
Everything is growing nicely. Looking forward to when everything looks robust.
Couldn't the dogs just did under the gate? :)
Le quedo Genia consulta donde se puede ver la segunda parte 🙏por favor
Anyone want to share what vegetables they are growing?
phenomenal job, guys.....
I am going to use this idea to build a fence to keep my cats in. I will do an 8ft tall fence and then at the tip have some horizontal standoffs with wire on it to keep the cats from climbing to the top and going over.
Really helpful! And looks great too, the dig proof is smart - keeping coyotes out and our dogs in.
Great video
you trench that with a shovel or what?
Yes, shovel..
Awesome video. I just got my cover on my hi tunnel yesterday. Do you trellis your eggplants?
That’s awesome! Yes I trellis the eggplants. The black beauty are over 6’ tall right now. Going to cut them back at some point. I hope your spring crop is amazing!
I do trellis my eggplant
Nice video n awesome green house. I just got one. What zone do you live in?
Zone 9b. How about you? And thank you for your comment 🙏
6ft by 100 of horse wire from tractor supply now is $300 lol.. was it really only $50 back then??
Post pandemic pricing is in full effect.
Same here. I found you through Pete’s channel. I live in Pinellas county.
Thank you for watching and subscribing!
New sub here. Saw you on Pete's channel and had to know more about your greenhouse. Haven't looked at the rest of your channel yet but hope to find info on how you customized your greenhouse, including how you enclosed the ends. Beautiful set up and have badly wanted to grow tomatoes year round for some time. We're just to the south of you in Tarpon Springs.
Thank you for subscribing and your positive comments.
Thanks for the video. I have 550 sq ft garden in Dallas area (8b) with hot humid summers like you so thinking about a green house and shade cover. Which fertilizer do you use from Seven Springs Farm Supply?
It’s the Neversink blend.
New subscriber! Pete sent me. Let's go!
Hello and welcome. Thank you for subscribing 🙏
Great Video!
Thank you 🙏
Gives me hope that I can put a high tunnel in my backyard. I still need to get the project to clear our county planning board.
Great video! Thanks for sharing! How high up on the sides would you add the purlins for added strength?
Thank you 🙏 I think about 12” above the wiggle wire track, so approximately 5’ off the ground. Thank you for your question and positive feedback!
Going to try broccoli Thanks for sharing
Excellent choice, I especially love how the bees are attracted to the flowers!
Just finished watching your feature on Pete Kanaris! I knew early on I was going to subscribe, but at the end of the second video when you said you had a nephew with special needs I had to sit back for a minute to gather myself. My daughter, now 18, had a stroke when she was born. The way you spoke about your nephew, not with pity, but empathy, really spoke to me. I hope you understand how appreciated you are. Your garden knowledge is fantastic, but I think it is your humanity that truly shines through.
My nephew had a stroke at birth too. He is special and everyone loves being around him, his personality is contagious. So loving and innocence . Thank you for sharing your comments.
Great video 👍🏼
