Would love it more if it had a strap to hand on it. Could attach to a book bag or purse
This was a game changer for me thanks a lot ❤
How would you change colors?
I use a Russian join when changing colors, especially in lacework. Decades ago I worked as a surgical tech, and I've been using a surgical knot every since. I'm still using items I knitted or crocheted 30 years ago-- the Russian joins remain as do the surgical knots. A square knot might work for items that aren't used or frequently washed, like a doily or wall hanging. I definitely wouldn't use this knot on clothing or blankets.
Best demo of this knot!

Late comment but thank you for this tutorial:)❤
*Thank God for the comments!!* Folks be out here twistin’ yarn everywhich kinda way like _looook!_ and the og’s are in the comments with names and numbers of reasons WHY this _wont_ hold. Y’all are really out here savin’ sanity and projects. The award goes to you!! Thank you!!🥇🙌🏻🥂
This is amazing no madder what atleast it will work for a while 😌
You are a great teacher ❤
How do you get the puffs to not look like a fat blob?????? They don't look anything like your sample.
I've seen something called a Russian join, which is a bit more hidden and definitely stronger. Looks a little complicated to do, but that's probably because I'm a beginner
I use this type of knot to join yarn all the time except I cross over the yarn twice first, then a single cross over to finish it. It's a surgeon's knot and it's extremely strong.
Yes guys this works. Thank u soo much loved it ❤❤
Right over left, left over right. Sq knot. GS tie knot. Easy and sturdy.
that's not treble crochet it's double crochet
Somehow on row 6 i have 42 stiches. I can not figure out where i added...
I'm in the US and new to this. I'm confused about what size yarn to get
This knot is called a "straight sea knot", it NEVER comes undone! If it is untied, it means that you tied it incorrectly and tied a "woman's knot" instead of a straight sea knot! Practice tying correctly and you will succeed!
Hi, just found this channel and love it, I wondered if you are going to make anymore videos ❤
Aww thank you I will be uploading more tutorials in the new year :)) I have just had a busy year moving house and getting my new home lovely but I’m looking forward to getting back in to the tutorials in January :))))))) xx
If you leave the strands alone after doing it you can crochet the lose ends in and it will keep it from not coming apart better. By cutting the quick its easily comes apart after washing and pulling the garment. Not good.
Im on my 6th stocking and everyone of them is beautiful
Can I see how you made the pom pom please
I know that this is an old video, but are you supposed to cut the yarn after each toe when you are joining the toes, or do you not go all the way around? I'm confused..
No you do not cut the yarn after each toe you just move on to the next toe and go round in a complete round :))
How would you go all the way around? Then I am not next to the next paw?
Oh I think I understand! Thank you!
You do one have of the toe then as you work around you will pick up the back half of the toe. Glad you’ve got it xx
Very simple stitch. Doesn't look like it would be so easy to do when you look at this. Great tutorial. Thank you. Going to use it for a scarf for my son-in-law.
Just do a knot
Just made 3 of these for a charity craft fair. Very simple but wish I could do these in the suggested 30 minutes instead of about 2 hours 😂🤦♀️
This is called a square knot
Thank you so much. I fiddled around with a pattern last night, learning the stitch, watching tutorials. Your suggest of just doing a slip stitch , then chain to lock in the puff, much better result.
Your video Tutorial is very helpful, im making one for my sons' Kindergarten
<frog>
It's just a knot lol
thats literally just a double knot
Yup I tried this and pulled really hard and it came apart !! Fail for me!! I’ll stick to the German knot works for Me!!
OMG i finally did it 🎉🎉🎉 thank you!
I double tie the knot and use it
Nearly gave up at the beginning as soon as fiddly. Cheated and used a size 5mm for first round 😜 Using a stitch marker really helped. First time I’ve kept my stitch count spot on. Thank you so much for the video. It was brilliant and so clearly explained 🤩🤩
Second attempt I couldn’t get the magic circle to work. So chained 5 instead and ss Worked just as well 👍
This stitch is beautiful for making a scarf and your explanation is clear. Thank you.
I would never ever ever ever trust that to hold.
Well s***! Wish I had seen these comments about it not working before I got too far on my blanket 😢
Thanks for this pattern. I always use U.S. terms, they’re so much better than U.K. terms, which I hate (I’m a Brit by the way 😄)
Excellent… however my after awhile my brain was just listening to her and I forgot to convert to US terms… lol. Yes I’ve got some frogging to do.
Hiya! I started crocheting last month and have definitely got addicted! I made one of these cute hats following your guide - I had to adapt it slightly because the yarn that I have is a thicker yarn, so I used a 6mm hook, and followed the guides for increases and decreases as I’d never done those before. I did do something different with the white part of the hat, still unsure if I like my version or not yet though! I need to see how you did your pom pom though, I have a pom pom maker and I’m not sure if that going to be too big?! Thank you for your tutorial 😊 I have subscribed and have noticed some great tutorials I will be watching in the near future! Thank you 😊 xxx
What size hook are you using please
If their blue hook handle is the same as mine, it’s a 4mm - pretty much standard for that thickness of yarn 😊 xxx
Mine is coming out smaller. I used a no 4 hook. Which hook did you use please?
What?!?
Hi! Lovely tutorial ❤ I would love to use this stitch for a carpet. Which yarn would you recommend me?
So you would end on the 3?
Didi this twice on two different strands. The first time didn't work, the second time did. In both, i twirled the yarn 3 times and tested the hold before snipping off the excess
It's visible
