Why no ones giving credits to OTG !? He may be credited as the vocalist but he's a fucking god of bass house and midtempo stuff, his production is so great and unique and we can definitively hear here he prob contribued a lot along with both rezz and vr, and his vocals are also such iconic and recognizable !! Dude's truly underrated and I hope monstercat signs some songs from him more often.

I'm a total sucker for edm and rock music so the Zedd and Muse collab is NOT something I've expected, some people may say that 1685 doesn't sound that good or their least favourite, but it's such a good closer after all despite it's lack of climax feeling. Plus, both Matt Bellamy (vocalist/guitarist of the band) and Zedd grew up with classical music influences around them and that's nice. Really need more rock bands to try and come up with something good with edm producers once in a while. Gotta agree with that #1 though, Shanti is not something i thought Zedd would produce lol its goddamn mind blowing

Most of Porter's albums take some time for me to warm up to them. I can't think of any other artist that their music flips on me so much over time. Like I start off loving the singles, but then end up really appreciating the tracks deeper into the album. With Nurture, "Unfold" didn't immediately grab me. Same with "Wind Tempos". Thought it was too slow. Then they ended up being my favorites. On Worlds, I absolutely HATED "Fellow Feeling" at first. Thought it was just noise. Then one day I just got it. The "Fresh Static Snow" remix is probably my fav on that. I have a feeling the same thing will happen with SMILE! :D Off rip, the only song that I vibe with is "Russian Roulette". The rest were all kinda mid, personally. And I really didn't like "Year of the Cup", conceptually. Totally agree that the Lil Wayne monologue just goes on too long... ...But after having seeing the SMILE! :D set in person last weekend, I'll also say that the "Year of the Cup" was actually kind of a cozy/relaxing song. And the live renditions of "Mona Lisa" and "Kitsune Maison Freestyle" *definitely* elevated those songs on the album for me. They just hit different in a stadium.

here's my tip to those artists who want to make the monstercat collab of the year: big names don't matter. it dosen't matter if you collab with less popular ones or more famous ones. what matters most is creativity, something this track lacks. creativity is what makes the track unique. you can give the other person (or people) a chance to showcase their styles (like sleepless, accelerate and euphoria rush) or you can make the chosen theme work in a way that you and the collaborator(s) are sure that this is gonna be loved by many (like dead man walking). whatever it is, you need to make sure that creativity is right there in the song so that people can listen to it and say, "yeah i love this". of course, how the song turns out depends on who you're collaborating with, but really, there are no limits! if you just think of a creative idea, i guarantee you your chances at having the best collab of the year will definitely increase, even if just a little. this song is mid btw
