Man when I was growing up if someone defied LE and told them “NO” when LE told them to not resist or stand up or get in the car…LE didn’t stand around like “how long will it be before they listen to me” they SHOWED THE SUSPECT WHO WAS IN CHARGE and they did it at the suspects peril. Suspects were left thinking “omfg why didn’t I listen”. Today’s LE spends so much time negotiating with suspects PLEADING WITH THEM saying the same thing over and over and over and over. Back then LE was RESPECTED because if you fucked with LE you paid the consequences. I know 3 retired LEO’s that each told me there is no way in hell they’d work as an LEO today. In their own words today’s LE is a joke.
