Maelstrom Crafts
Sweden
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 11 ก.ย. 2020
Maelstrom Crafts is all about creating and building things. The channel is planned to cover topics from cosplay to home renovations and lots in between. It's meant to take fun projects and break them down into smaller chunks for you to enjoy, and hopefully teach you both how, and how not to do them yourselves! A journey before destination one could almost say. Because I find it's so much more fun to create custom things, than settling by buying pre-made. Don't you agree?
I hope you'll tag along and see all my fun projects, and if you do like my content, please consider pressing Like & Subscribe.

Balcony Sunbed, a DIY Modular Outdoor Sofa
I needed a solution to maximize the summer vibe on the balcony, and what better than an awesome sunbed!? 😎 It's more or less big pieces of LEGO, and can easily and very quickly be stowed away when we need for more room on the balcony. Enjoy and hope you'll learn something from my process!

Scary DIY Articulated Finger Extensions
มุมมอง 352K4 ปีที่แล้ว
See how I built spidery Articulated Finger Extensions for Halloween. The fingers are made out of Popsicle sticks, wire and plastic tube (water hose). I also sewed fabric gloves to wrap it all in. The creation of these wasn't the easiest, but came out alright. Hope my progress helps in your own process! Enjoy. Feel free to try and print the template I made: drive.google.com/file/d/1zHJ2argr2EH22...
Your creation is good and awesome!
I WANT THIS FOR HALLOWEEN
Looked good even without the black cloth skin.
Just amazing! Great job
DEFINITELY USING FOR A CALNE CA COSPLAY
kinda looks like that one girl that has super long fingers from dark deception
Hello, do you make and sell these?
The owl man's hands
Agatha from dark deception.
Thank you! I used this to make one and it turned out great!
In the process of making these, and boy are these pain and suffering to make like they will look sick when finished but pop sticks are just splitting left and right and boy it takes some decent time. ( Regardless very happy you made this tutorial it's gonna help a lot with a couple costumes )
if someone was to make these and modify their design, could you potentially make them work by connecting them above and below the knuckles? would that be more secure and less prone to rotating or breaking as the knuckle moves less and would anchor all 4 fingers in place? i would be curious to see if that would be possible!
These would be great for an Agatha cosplay from dark deception
BABADOOK
Please tell me you sell this 😭
vecna
How are the extensions fitted into the glove?
Thank you so much for your tutorial! It’s perfect for my Aku cosplay
You're welcome 😊
How are you cutting the popsicle sticks with scissors. Every time I try to do that the sticks splinter. I dunno what to do the only other option I have is to saw them but that takes just about forever
I used a big scissor, held the popsicle thight across it, and tried to cut slowly. You need to make sure the scissor doesn't "tilt / bend over" while you cut.
Vecna?
Do you still have the template you based yours off of? ^^ I can’t seem to find anything similar online
Check the video description :)
wow. it's saw god
My goal to become the throat of Delusion incarnate steers ever closer
Tienes a la venta ? Do you have for sale?
I want them
does someone know similiar videos like this one with maybe shorter ones ? in a Steam punky look ?
MICHAEL FROM THE MAGNUS ARCHIVES
I have a question where did you get the paper template
The first one you see in the video is kind of a screen grab from Garys' video which I cleaned up in Photoshop. Then after a couple of revisions that fit my needs better, I ended up with the one I'm sharing in the video description.
These are SO good, and a far better option (and look in my opinion) than the 500 dollars "original". Definitely will be making some
Thanks so much for the great video. Two questions: 1) What gauge wire do you use? Is this something thinner, like I'd get at a craft store or something thicker, like I'd get at a hardware store? 2) Where do you get the clear piping that you used?
Personally, I used craft wire, I suggest something stiffer than aluminum, and the tubing can be found at probably any hardware store for pretty cheap, they sell it by the foot
Thanks :) 1) It's a thicker wire from a hardware store. It had to be rigid enough to able to "push back" the finger to a straight position. 2) The pipe was also from the hardware store. It's a water hose/tube sold in custom length, just as @Cam Gremlin said in the other comment. It cost a few dollars.
Carnage cosplay here I come!!!
How long did it take you to build these?
Three weekends perhaps. It's been a while since I made them now. But that include material and tool shopping. I didn't have everything when I started, and had to learn as I went
What kind of wire did you use?
Michael Shelly cosplayer: *It’s showtime.*
tested this with cardboard and tape and it worked well so im gonna go buy some popsicle sticks and tube! tysm for the tutorial
What fabric did you use for the gloves?
Elastic cloth I found in a general store. It can be used for leggins I guess
@@MaelstromCrafts Thank you!
i'm trying to make gloves with long fingers but making them articulated is too hard so I just want to stuff them but I'm having trouble finding any tutorials on how to do that. I know how to make a glove that will work for this but I'm not sure how to fill the extra length of the fingers so that they wont just be floppy fabric
I guess you'd need to support/connect the extra "floppy weight" to your fingers somehow. Perhaps if you use wire and spin it in a spiral. Think like a spring that you elongate and attatch it to your finger lile a thimble
I bet these could be rigged for a Edward Scissorhands cosplay, awesome work!
I saw this in my subscribed and I was like ooooh yeah
What wire are you using? I'm making them right now but my wire keeps snapping :(
It some kind of fence wire I think.
HE'S BACK
Finally a tutorial I can use for my Micheal cosplay!!!
This tutorial is awesome! I'll use this method to make my Michael cosplay from TMA
Venom
im supprized, only 1 episode but 2 k subs, niiice
I like this. I think a full outfit that is that is musou black including the claws and a head crest with some LED bright eye would be great. Musou is rather literally the darkest black that can be manufactured. So dark it can not reflect light, so it is a dark that is darker than night. Hide in a dark area and start moving around. Power up the eyes once in a while to scare the hell out of people.
Agatha from Dark Deception cosplayers: *nervous sweating*
I need to do this because I'm going to do a male version of Alcina Dimitrescu
Sounds awesome!
