He was so right about military manufacturers in USSR being very good. I have some first hand experiences to confirm they were more than really good, many westerners did make good deals there. Lack of top end equipment was a bit troublesome although they would order things from the West or other communist or socialist states if needed. Any state that could make nuclear power plants back then was technically at a very high level. This doesn't mean much today, good example is US lagging behind China and maybe Russia if US chooses to put nose into their internal affairs too deep again...

No slight against Frank, but Id love to know if at this time he had any meetings with a young orange guy who had a few barrels full of his daddy's money that he wanted to go throw around in eastern Europe.

So basically, as we move forward in time, every single fucking Zappa post on TH-cam will become INFECTED with political posts, which have NOTHING to do with when Zappa was being interviewed. The net effect? Having to sift through MORE NOISE, to find the signal. Congratulations. No it's not a joke. You're not funny. But you are a joke. You're attempts to upstage Zappa has been rendered a joke. But but but, you're denying me my right to free speech, Jon!!!! No I'm not. You can continue to show everyone how awesome you are with your continued skull leakage, which I'm sure you will.... :D

Zappa's move(s) against a non-theocratic, anti-fascist, humanist and emancipatory part of Europe will live in ridicule and infamy. In fact, he was a tool for the objectives of the USA as it turned out to be. History has shown that people don't give a rat's ass about liberty.

The Soviet Union dissolved a few years later ('91 I think). Was Zappa getting in on the ground floor, way ahead of his time, or just heading down a dead end road? Inquiring minds need to know.

I'm quite sure he had no thoughts of replacement of those currencies with the Euro or Amero. He made a disparaging comparison by saying that the Rubel and the Dollar were both worth NOTHING as they were not backed by gold. The Euro and the Amero are valueless in the same way. I'm sure he understood that a nations currency must be attached to something of value to protect it's value, and to protect the people from the banks. He was pretty smart.

Wow, in 1989 he spoke of the de-commisioning or de-valuing the Rubel and replacing it with a new currency. I'm sure he was referring to the Euro way before anyone else had a clue! This is exactly what the U.S government plans to do with the dollar then replace it with the Amero! However, I'm a bit shocked he would end up a globalist business man. It kind of goes against his past philosophy.

Go stick your head in a toilet! Zappa had NOTHING to do with that! It's more likely that big business corporations manipulated circumstances to allow a collapse...since the vultures went in and mopped up and got everything dirt cheap...live long enough and you'll realize that is how the whole world operates at that level.
