Why not install a water pump for constant flow
What batteries are you using to reach 120
5:00 You’re welcome
Скорость конечно огромная Быстрый катер .. Я под ...ся ....вы?
Hi how long does the 6000mah battery last for from fully charged to going flat when running it in rc car
Hey TW, that question is impossible to answer concerning all the factors involved. What I can tell you is that a 6000mah should last longer than lets say a 5000mah or 4000mah but keep in mind that some battery manufacturers are more truthful than others as far as the specs that they print on the batteries. Thanks for watching!
I have been looking for a good quality battery for the Zonda and heard you bought these for this boat , bought some CNHL 6200 and wouldnt fit with the sliding trays . The dimensions on the ZEEs are close , did these batteries end up fitting ??
Hey, yeah, they fit. I just use the stock zonda battery tray.
@@stevesballisticrc8770 Thanks alot for the quick response . The sliding tray is great but adds a bit of height , disappointed the CNHL didnt fit . If your one measurement at an 1 3/4 is accurate they will fit but its an expensive mistake if i am wrong i just found out the hard way which is why i want to be sure . My last resort is CNHL 5200 that will fit but harder to get . Thanks so much ..
I just measured my packs again they are 6" longx1-3/4×1-7/8. I would double check before you buy because sometimes they change the pack dimensions
@@stevesballisticrc8770 You are the best and a channel i want to sub to , i also share your Canadian heritage if my memory serves me right , i bought the last Carbon Fiber Zonda from the same place you bought yours . The pack dimensions are larger compared to yours on Amazon but yoursmore accurate , lots a wiggle room with those dimensions . Do they fit with lots of play or still a tad tight ??
One pack you could try out is smc true spec DV extreme 6300mah 135c its a little smaller than the zeee.
The comments from the kids is awesome
Yeah, they are the best!!
Whats the name of battery did you use
Hey Dan, I use the zeee 6s 6000mah lipo battery in this boat.
That crash would have killed my full carbon TFL ZONDA you can literally see through that hull if you put a light inside it's super thin.
I have a TFL Pursuit that is full carbon fiber and it is the same way you can see right through it. I am amazed that I haven't cracked it in half. I would say Its probably tougher than the fiber glass version. I think the carbon fiber will flex more than fiber glass.
Have you had problems with the carbon fiber on your zonda ?
Iv ordered the full carbon TFL ZONDA R1 VERSION it comes with the 180a esc but iv still got about a week too wait
Nice! That sounds awesome!! Full carbon fiber!! Sweet! I'll be waiting for your video!
Hey man, Russ again I was watching your video and I run the battery that for forward in my boat and it runs so wet in the motor gets hot as hell. I just need a dang start over with a whole new set up on mine I got a fly color 150 now and I’m probably still gonna put another TP 3640 motor still 6s but I’m going back down on the KV to probably 1900 instead of 2100. And add a coolant pump as well maybe that’ll work.
You running any BEC’s in your setup?
Yes both of the ESC's have BEC's so no extra battery involved.
@@stevesballisticrc8770 soldered in or jumpered?
@@paulnapoli9161 ESC's come that way
What size servo did you use? I bought a 20kg servo for my genesis 1122 but it don’t seem to fit
The stock servo size is odd. i just cut out the mount to make it fit.
@@stevesballisticrc8770 I got it to fit but I’m having trouble installing the rod, there’s a curved end and a straight end and I don’t know which one goes with what
@@stevesballisticrc8770 can the rod that connects the servo to the rudder be angled or does it need to be straight?
@@stevesballisticrc8770 can the rod that connects the servo to the rudder be angled or does it need to be straight?
@masonadkins8135 The double curved end is used to go into the servo horn hole. I just cut it off the double curved part and use a linkage. You can have the servo push rod on an angel as long as it doesn't bind up on the hole through the hull. You maybe able to use something like a servo linkage to offset the push rod similar to the part that connects the push rod to the rudder.
Nice run
Awesome boat!
Great vid 👍 good to see this shape boat out there having fun😊
So did you paint this to look like the TFL genesis?
No, the TFL zonda has three different options blue and white, black and carbon fiber.
Ahhh!!! I didn’t know this
th-cam.com/video/RoewUk_7SxU/w-d-xo.html
You’re absolutely right that’s what it is. It’s the the pick up on the trim tabs is making the boat too wet. I just noticed that today I mean there’s like only 6 inches of the front of the boats out of the water so this way way too much downforce from those water pick up so I guess I need to go back to the pick up on the rudder. Thanks man once I get my connections put back together on my ESC cause I got so hot. It blew them apart and if it didn’t fry the motor I’ll let you know how it goes but that was it. I appreciate it cause that’s got to be the problem. I got a 45 mm prop a carbon fiber one I’ll give it a shot as well. It’s a 4517
The esc connector may have blown up because the extra load from the hull being too wet.
@@stevesballisticrc8770 Man if it weren’t for you, I would’ve been fighting Prop sizes the rest of my life trying to figure out the right one not realizing instead of having only 3 inches of stern in the water. I had 3 inches of bow out of the water. Wonder why I had an overheating issue lol this thing is gonna be like a rocket ship on rails now I might have to get another rudder with dual pick ups but it’s still gonna be better than two barbed fittings cut off at a 45° angle, sticking out the bottom of your trim tabs lol. Looked very cool. Performed very badly again thanks for your help. I’ll let you know how it goes. As of right now I’m just gonna take a piece of a that aluminum duct tape that you use on HVAC stuff and stick on the bottom of each trim tab and till I get some new ones it’ll work just fine. Again my friend. Thank you very much for your help. Can’t wait to run it got a sweet little GPS it sticks on the back of it. It’s made by Meilan 3 it’s a mini bicycle GPS but it’s waterproof as well and it works very well on the top of the hatch on the back of the boat. It looks cool to and it’s an expensive. Keep bashing them ballistic my friend.
How are those lipos holding up ? Thinking of getting that exact lipo for my Kraton 6s V5.
I don't have many cycles on them, but so far so good. They have a long run time. I think for the money you can't go wrong.
looks good. glad to see it back out again.
Hey Steve, I was wondering if you found the heavier and longer Zonda to be more stable than your smaller/lighter boats like your Pursuit.
Hey Ron, the zonda is reasonably stable but it is hard to compare to the pursuit. The pursuit is rock solid. The zonda doesn't corner as well and is not as agile. Thanks for the sub.
Hi Steve did you manage to get some epoxy resin and cloth reinforcement up in the front inside
Hey Paul!! No, I wish I did but I only did the expandable foam and that really made it more ridged. I had some problems with the finish the hatch tape ripped the clear coat off. I also dropped it and chipped one or the sponson tips. In this video I had my esc come loose and hit the hatch that put some small cracks in it. Lol its the first season with this boat and she is banged up a little bit.
@@stevesballisticrc8770 😊I see what you mean when you said you need to do some work on Zonda over winter 👍. Remember battery tray they fall off,I put 1 layer of fiberglass across the top and over edges onto body by a few CMS and cut the cloth so the battery straps can fit under the original battery tray it's not coming off now.I fitted Hatch screws and door seal strip as yes the tape rips off the decals and paint.Oftrn the worst looking boats end up the fastest 😊👍
@Paul Cooper I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it. Maybe I'll just slap it together until I get it set up and running the way I want then paint it. Thanks for the tips!
I’m trying to stop mine chime walking above 60 mph What angle do you have on your stinger?up at prop end or down And are your trim tabs level?
Hey James thanks for watching!! I run with a 4° up angle and trim tabs slightly up. I'm hitting around 67mph and getting a little chine walk at the top end from time to time.
@@stevesballisticrc8770 thanks mate I just gave a ovionic 100c 3300 mah 6s lipo a try, probably not 100c it got a bit puffy but it’s about a year old It ran 62 mph and it didn’t flip but it chine walked that bad it changed direction really fast and nearly hit the jetty. I have a digital level so I’ll check that 4 deg up angle.
@@jamesatkinson7517 Give it a try and let me know how it works.
@@stevesballisticrc8770 I just set it at 4 degree and the tabs a bit less man it looks a lot probably 3 mm (1/8”)gap from straight or level. Does that sound about right ? Can’t test, the wind is blowing pretty hard, could be a few days I’m guessing
@@jamesatkinson7517 Sounds about right. Should be around 1° on the tabs. I also have my battery forward about 2" from stock.
How many mah you smc lipo?
Hey thanks for watching! I don't have these batteries anymore but if I remember correctly 5200mah
That thing Sticks to the Water like its nobodys buisness !! Looks like you have a great group of friends you can bash around with. Ive been waiting for this video ! Haha. After i saw your build i wanted to see how it ran ! That thing is a MONSTER ! Super loud and shoots a high rooster tail with serious power ! I want to make my TFL build like yours 🤙🏼
Hey Trey!! Thanks for watching!!
@@stevesballisticrc8770 totally ! I just subscribed as well 🤙🏼 I just bought my servo and reciever and controller for thr TFL so wish me luck on the install 🤞🏻 If you got any tips for me, please let me know !
I just got my TFL in todaay. I just need a few things to complete the build. For the antenna and the dual water cooling tubes, did you drill a hole in the boat with a reguar drill ? Im so scared to even touch it lol. I also need a servo for it as well. What parts did you all use on your boat ? Beautiful build.
Hi Trey! Thanks for watching! For the holes I mark out a suitable spot. I used a dremel tool with a pointed sanding stone smaller size and slowly work it out to the size I need. I won't suggest using a drill bit unfortunately the fiberglass on the zonda is not so tough when you tape the hull hatch chances are the clear coat will come up with the tape.. I also used a bushing for the new cooling lines. I used a dual puckup rudder 45mm cnc props seaking 180 esc leopard 4074 2000kv motors. Savox sw1211 servo and one piece drive shaft.
Where did you get the fulll boat with included rudder and props ? Or did you have to order seperate ? Everywhere i look the boat isnt included with the rudder etc.
Hey Trey! This is my second TFL rc boat they usually come ARTR wich is almost ready to run or just the hull with no hardware or electronics. They put the rudder and the props in the parts bag so they don't get damaged during shipping. I had my zonda shipped from Banggood in China.
@@stevesballisticrc8770 i just ordered one from AliExpress. Bangood was not working with my card and i gave up tryimg to pay in every way they had. The seller seemed legit so Hopefully its the same as your box came. All the info matched and it looks promising. Happy Boating mate ! Cheers !
Still sweet boat man I'm having problems with my setup I know you remember me my carbon fiber Pursuit is getting too much heat I don't know if it's the motor pulling too many amps because of too much prop or is the heat being generated from not enough ESC not exactly sure how that works? I'm still running the fly color 120 ESC with the TP 3640 2100kv motor on 6s it pulls 100 amps Max I guess under normal load but I'm running that graupner 2317.45 prop. I got separate lines for the ESC and the motor as far as cooling goes the cooling I don't believe is an issue I mean you can never have too much I like to put a motor on it a pump on it I mean but as far as actually water flowing through it it flows pretty good I don't beat on it hard I run a little bit that I let off and cruise for a while and it cool down but it's still getting too hot it's melting the damn solder in between the joints of my 5 mm bullets and squirting it out the side of the heat shrink tubing. I've only seen like 160 ° Fahrenheit A few times by the time I get the tape off and unscrew the canopy off of it hell it might have been hotter than that well I know it was had to have been. Is it not enough ESC or too much prop or both. The next ESC I'll buy will have data logging. Ponder on that for a few and let me know what you think or if you need any more information let me know on my setup I also tried a 45 mm 3 Blade 1.4 pitch aluminum prop didn't come out of the hole worth of s*** but had a decent top end I'm still only pushing 54.6 mph GPS and that's the same top end exactly with the two blade graupner
Hey Russ! Motor temp? Esc temp? Battery temp? What was the physical size of your motor? What gauge wire Is your esc and Battery? How heavy are your batteries? If you are have heat problems don't bother with the water pump for now. Let me know that and I can probably help.
I looked up your motor it should be ok. If you are melting solder it is probably drawing too many amps for your wire size maybe too much for your connector or could be your solder job. You didn't specify where you got the 160F Temperature. Your esc is likely your problem. Other things to check make sure you drive shaft is moving freely make sure you have at least 1/8" clearance between your drive dog on your shaft and the end of your strut so your flex shaft doesn't bind. Be sure you have adequate grease on your flex shaft. Let me know the info I asked for and we can probably figure it out.
The temps were mainly at the back of the motor and the connections on the ESC to the motor I think it was a bad solder job which I did that it's 5 mm bullets what about that prop do you think the prop is too big could be causing it to pull so many amps I understand the motor does all the pulling of the power it doesn't matter about the ESC the motor is going to pull what it's going to pull the ESC doesn't push the power I understand that but I'm thinking about going with a swordfish 220 amp. About that motor rips I but even the end of the shaft of the motor it's even starting to turn color because you can tell it's getting so hot and the wires in the back of the motor or starting to change color as well I got a feeling it's not going to last much longer I'm thinking maybe a downsize on the prop that might help me too you told me what size prop to run before but I can't find that message that you sent me or I can't remember what size prop you told me to run I think I'm just going to go ahead and buy another ESC and put bigger connectors on both motor and the ESC of course and try it again frustrating when you can't beat on it the way you want to because it gets hot you got a baby it around most of the time and then nail it a few times and baby it around it's just I can't stay on it long cuz everything gets hot but like I said I think it was the solder job because one of the connectors like it just about fell off only thing was holding it together was the shrink tube but I've been having problems with those connections since day one but I'm not the best solder person either the next ESC I buy I'm going to have them soldered some 8mm bullets on it before I get it or I'm not going to buy it from them. If you like to call me sometime I don't know how to get you my phone number other than put it on here and I don't really want to do that I would like to talk to you about it instead of just texting like this back and forth but anywho I appreciate your time if you could do that but I hope you have a good day thanks for your advice and help. By the way I have nobody to bounce anything off of around here nobody has a boat nobody's into boating at all. So any kind of parts that I buy props or whatever $30 a whack you know if it don't work out I'm just stuck with a $30 prop. The batteries are zee 5200mAh 120c using the xtc90 connectors on everything except for the motor to ESC connections which are the 5 mm bullets or whatever comes on the ec5 or whatever they are. All the wiring is 10 and 12 gauge 10 gauge battery to ESC 12 gauge from ESC to motor just what it came on it yeah and if you shorten the wires up on that damn motor you have to get all that Gunk off the wire so you can even solder to them you have to take that aspirin and then heat it up and get that crap the enamel off the wire so you can even solder to it that was a b**** I was like what the hell it won't solder to this stuff I thought I was really that bad at soldering turns out you can't even solder to that stuff until you get it off of there. Anywho sorry for the book I wrote LOL just trying to get you as much information as I can. Again thank you so much
By the way I want to get you at least the 70 mph Mark and however I got to do it I'm I'm going to do it. Whatever I got to buy I don't care what it costs I'm tired of spending money two and three times for s*** that don't work if you send me a setup I will hook you up I don't care what I got to buy I'll order it and it's going to be on these people walking around with their boats and stuff with this top secret setup crap I thought everybody supposed to be out for each other like you are helping me and I do appreciate it very much so if I get a set up that works I'll share with anybody I don't care that's what the whole sport is about having fun everybody work with each other you know people walk around this top secret setup b******* that's stupid again thank you so much for your help I wish everybody was like that
@@russsmith9042 I would start by getting ec5 or ec8 for your battery connection the xt90 is only good for 90 amps ec5 is good for 120 amps ec8 is good for 190 amps. I use 6mm bullets between the motor and esc with an amp rating of 150 amps. I like to over do it with my connections even with that they get hot from time to time. You are probably going to have to get good with your soldering or find someone who is. I would also change your esc I know you want the swordfish but I can't necessarily recommend it because I've never used one. I use what works for me the seaking 180a. Not sure about the prop you are using I've never seen one. The prop I recommend to you is an octura x445. My setup is very close to the speeds you are looking for 67mph with some prop tweaks I could probably get 70. Let me know if this helps.
Would you prefer the Oxidean model or this one? Thanks
Hey John! Thanks for watching! That's a great question... I don't think I would necessarily prefer the Oxidean animal cat. They both are very similar but in the stock setup the Oxidean cat is like a super charged version of the zonda. I would like to get my hands one, I like the fact that out of the box the Oxidean cat already has a very good setup. The Oxidean cat doesn't need anything to upgrade it already comes as a monster!! In my opinion the zonda takes work to get it to the caliber of the Oxidean cat but if you like the challenge of getting the zonda to the next level like I do the zonda is a great boat for that. So I think it depends on what you want to do with it. Both are awesome rc boats and are very similar but also different.
Looks fun!
It's a blast!!! Thanks for watching.
How’s she running after you’ve had it for a bit? Just bought one, anything I should order off the bat while I wait?
Thanks for watching and thanks for the sub. She is running good!! Unfortunately I haven't had much run time with it I've had a busy summer. Early this season I flipped it and bent the rudder and it took me a while to get a new one then I broke my battery straps. I would say the first things I would upgrade set of Propellers is a must then I would say one piece flex shaft then dual pickup rudder. When you get your boat I would reinforce the sponsons where it curves up at the front. It's a fun boat good luck with it.
What site did you order it from? What all was required? What all does it come with? I’m confused on what it comes with them. Trying to order one right now.
Подскажите пожалуйста что такое KV в чем отличие 500KV и 2000 KV
KV Is revolutions per minute per volt. So lets say we have a 2000kv motor and we are using a 6s battery that is 22.2 volts. 2000kv ×22.2 volts =44,400 revolutions per minute. A 500kv motor on 6s has 11,100 revolutions per minute. If the 500kv motor and the 2000kv motor are the same size then the 500kv motor normally would have more torque. When you pick a motor for your boat you want a good mix of both speed and torque. Too low kv is slow too high kv too much heat. You also have to get a big enough motor to keep it cool a can size that is too small for your application will get hot. Thanks for watching!!

Hey Paul! Thanks We do have a nice spot to have fun with our rc boats its called the Otonabee river. I don't mind the tape but I have ripped off some paint so I see that it will need a paint job for next summer. I haven't had any problems yet with the batteries flying out yet.
Hey man it's Russ. I finally got my TP motor in it and that damn thing stupid fast compared to what it was I watched your whole build damn it looks good you keep your wires all nice and tight same way I do what size bullets are you running on your motor and your ESC is that 5 mm or bigger? I know one thing now if I have to buy an ESC or motor it's going to come with s*** soldered on her cuz I'm not worth a damn at that I keep getting bad connections and then it getting hot but I don't know need to go to school and soldering I guess. I don't have any connectors on it now I got a soldered straight together LOL I'm running that Graupner k-series 45 mm grp-2317.45 had to get the bigger Drive dog to accommodate it and change a little bit of my Flats on no drive shaft there but it hauls ass. It might be a little much on the prop side but I just kind of like run it for a minute and back off and let it cool down. I'm going to get a electric cooling pump to go along with it I made a ESC mounting plate with a heat sink mounted to the back of it that's also water cooled all custom and of course I got two coolant lines one for the motor and one for the ESC now both coming up out of the trim tabs not out of the rudder itself looks kind of cool not sure on my speed yet but I'm still running to 120 ESC so it can't be too fast but compared to what it was it's real fast. I'm running a fst6 Fly Sky transmitter taking a minute to get to use the driving sticks but you got a lot more adjustments on it though oh that motor again I think was the TP 3640 2100kv on 6s which ends up being like a 70 mm long motor. Crazy the way they size their Motors and stuff but that's what it is. Anyway it's 100 Amp Max 1350 watt continuous 2800 Max I think it's what it is. Finally got up to some kind of speed though. Anywho thanks again for all your help that you gave me I'm enjoying the heck out of this thing. Oh I put a auto bailer on the back of it of course and installed some weather stripping on top so I don't have to run any tape anymore it doesn't get wet at all I can push it completely underwater and hold it and nothing gets in. Cuz I was sick at all that taping nonsense all the time that had to go Because by the time you got it back in from running it hard and to go to check your temperatures this already cool back down not anymore brother

Do you know what the bare hull weighs or any weights
Not sure but very light. You can see through it if you hold it up to the light. Thanks for watching James!
How's it going? I was getting ready to buy me a motor I'm looking at a TP 3640 2100 KV motor still on that 120 amp ESC with a 45 mm 1.9 prop with a 5200mAh 6s 80c battery is that going to be too much? I believe that motor pulls 100 amps and Max voltage is 28.8 I believe. In other words I'm not really sure how to match all this stuff and make sure I'm not going to overload my system I understand check your temps after about 30 seconds to a minute of running it my rule of thumb has been if I can't hold it for 5 seconds it's too damn hot but right now I'm still running really cool with the stock setup and I also just added in another line so the ESC has its own cooling system and the motor has its own cooling system or cooling lines I should say. I think it's going to be too much prop
Hey Russ! Everything is going great! The tp motor you want maybe a little small. I would be a little worried about over working the motor it probably would be greatin a smaller boat. I would recommend a 40 size motor at least. You could try it with maybe 42mm prop but I think you would have some high temps with the 36 size motor. The bigger the can the cooler it will be. If you think you want to try it go for it but I think you would be running on the edge or over the edge.
@@stevesballisticrc8770 what I was looking at the actual can is 15 mm longer which is supposed to give me more torque they're overall power is greater is 60 more amps than the other motor or can pull 60 more amps than the other motor and I'm going up from 1620 KV to 2100 KV which is about 12,000 more RPM
One of the main things I was looking at was the KV I need some more RPM trying to get it spooled up
Ok I just looked up the tp motor and I didn't realize they size motors different it is 36x70 give it a go and see what happens!
@@stevesballisticrc8770 yeah I didn't know that about TP Motors either at first the last two numbers is usually how what the length of the can is but that's not the case with TP strange but that's not the case with them. I appreciate you looking it up though yeah I think it it might do all right I mean eventually I want to go with the 40 mm motor and a 225 amp swordfish which has built-in data logging and all that stuff and a bec yeah swordfish 225 amp is the bomb that's what I want to get eventually but right now im not in the market for it and I'm just going to use that regular fly color 120 ESC. I'mma throw that bad boy on there and let er Rip taterchip. Of course the main thing I'm going to be doing is checking attempts and keep an eye on the Temps like I said I got two coolant lines running now so I think if I keep it good and cool it should be all right long as I just don't run it wide ass open the whole time play with the prop a little bit and I think I should be good I bought one of those carbon fiber props seem like it's doing pretty good. Hey man I really appreciate you looking into it though for me really. I don't know if I asked you but do you have like a little GPS you put in your boat or just use your phone to check your speed or do you have a Data Logger?
The ESC they come with are not rated for 6s, main reason why guys are having problems
From the info I've seen they are rated for 6s. If you look at this boat on the horizon hobby website they say it will take 6s. I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you the setup for this boat is not really good with 6s but I have had no problems with this same set up in another boat.
Not to knock on somebody else's boat you got to start somewhere but that little thing out there running around with you it's just annoying it's like a little gnat. Nothing against pontoon boats but it's kind of like a pontoon out there running with a fountain
Hi my friend. Did you do another layer of carbon fiber on the inside or some kind of sealer?
Hey Russ! Did you get your prop? Is she running good? I have a couple layers of epoxy on the inside bottom of the boat and I also have a aluminum brace glued across the top where the hatch opening is.
Absolutely not the fastest, oxidean is fastest
Cool send me the link for the video I would like to see it.
I think the fastest zonda with stock electronics is 124mph th-cam.com/video/_uy6SKGSWeY/w-d-xo.html
is that the crandall flyer?
I'm not sure.. it belongs to a friend. I will ask next time I see him and I let you know.
Hey Steve my boat looks just like yours but I'll tell you what it don't perform nothing like that. Tell me what I need to buy as far as motor ESC prop the stinger or strut the whole nine yards cuz I'm ready to shitcan all my electronics and drive. Mine is like a turtle in a field peanut butter compared to your boat yes and I'm running 6s but it's only 120 esc with a stock prop and 80c battery. But it flat-out sucks compared to your boat. It doesn't twist up like that nothing is even remotely close. Nobody around here even does that so I'm out here by myself it could be my setup I don't know?? I have to depend on watching stuff on TH-cam that's it there's no hobby shop around here that even sells boats so I have to order everything online and not really knowing what the order to begin with. The closest RC place that sells boats for me is an hour and a half away the closest body of water is 10 minutes. Help me please sir lol
That peanut butter thing got me🤣 before you go all crazy ripping everything out and starting over take the stock prop and toss it in the garbage I recommend this one to start with before you do anything else should make a big difference. www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=cnc-4514251 I moved the battery tray forward around 50mm. I have a Leopard 4074 2000kv, 180a Seaking esc, Savox digital steering servo, dual pickup rudder. I normally use at least 5000mah 50c 6s. I also have a heavy duty one piece flex shaft.
. I put a high-precision wattmeter and power analyzer in line between my battery and my ESC today to see what kind of amps I'm pulling and I'm only pulling like 36 amps. That's with that junk 42 mm prop also and I believe the motor is a SSS 3660 1650kv so I'm only turning like what 40,000 RPM on 6s if I switch out to a 2000kv i should gain about 10,000 RPM and go up to a 45mm prop that should be yeah huge difference! Thank you best advice and only advice I've had so far and I'm going to stick with that 120 ESC and see what it does for now and see how many amps it can handle I mean if it burns it up it burns it up I've already burned up one LOL. That's what happens when you reverse the polarity dumbass me beginner inexperienced. Yes I should jump up a quite a bit on the amperage right now the highest temp I seen is like 105 degrees and that beating on it pretty good until it's time to bring it in. Well as of right now Im going to try the prop and see what happens. 42 to 45mm and it being cnc-machined no balancing needed that should make a huge difference thank you sir. I'll let you know what happens what kind of little GPS thing do you use to check your speeds with? Or you just don't need one because why do you need to check your speed when you're passing everybody else. People ask you hey Steve how fast is your Pursuit you probably just shrug your shoulders and go I don't know fast enough. Thank you my friend
@@russsmith9042 No problem Russ!! It is a great hobby and if I can help you enjoy it that's what I want to do. Yeah I would stick with the 120a esc you should notice a big difference with your new setup. I like to have a gps on board so I know when any changes I've made have worked. I use skyrc gps but it isn't water proof so you would need to put it in a plastic bag. Good luck my friend! Let me know if you need anything else.
@@stevesballisticrc8770 got my prop ordered yeah I can't wait for it to come in. There's some people on the same Lake I run mine on in South Carolina that actually already seen mine want to know what the heck it is and they're already going to order one as well so we're going to have a whole Cove of them hopefully . Unlike me these people got Deep Pockets so they might not get to pursue they might get who-knows-what but I'm sent them all kind of information on the Hobby and hopefully they're going to be getting into it as well. I just want to say thanks again for all the help you've given me forever in the South Carolina area hit me up. Im about 30 minutes south of Charlotte. Check this out the Cove that we run in I'm going to set up some buoys or markers that are going to be led-lit and put markers on our boats do like the red-and-green for like you would on a normal boat and not really to see with but you know so you can see it and we're going to do some night bashing that should look cool fly my DJI above and do a video of it at night. Won't be right away but that's in the future for sure. Again thanks for all your help and I'll give you an update when I get that prop in and on and let you know how it goes. One day I want to hear mine twist up like yours does. Keep bashing ballistic
@@russsmith9042 Thanks Russ!! This is my goal to get people passionate about this hobby and get new people started. Hope everything goes well with your plans. Let your new friends know about my TH-cam channel so we can make all make this hobby great 👍
Hi steve great video and great boat..I just bought a pursuit with stinger . would you mind telling me your set up ?
Hey Eduardo!! To start with I moved the battery tray forward around 50mm. I have a Leopard 4074 2000kv, 180a Seaking esc, Savox digital steering servo, dual pickup rudder. My prop is a octura x445. I normally use at least 5000mah 50c 6s. I also have a heavy duty one piece flex shaft.
