Woof! Hi, I'm Misty, and I'm a yellow and white Border Collie who loves buses, other dogs, etc. Here, you will see anything school bus-related, but some of my videos show activity buses and stuff like that too.

Bus 170's engine (Audio Only) #2

No background in the photo I used because the original photo had my neighborhood in it and I only have one photo of 170 that was not taken in my neighborhood. Anyways, 170 is a 2023 Thomas C2 with a Cummins B6.7 engine. If you listen closely at the end also, you can even hear that it has an axle noise.

I looked at the dash, and the license plate again. It’s a 2021, not a 2019 like most of the others. Y’all were probably waiting for a video like this since I posted about city bus rides a lot before. So I did it. Note that this is NOT a propane, even though it said propane in the back. The sticker on its dash said it does not run on propane.

This is a compilation of some of my pictures of 876, a 2004 IC CE200 with a T444E engine, and I made this after hearing about how 876 recently retired, since I used to record this bus in action all the time, and this bus still remains as one of my favorite buses today. I always loved hearing 876's T444E and rear differential axle noise. Will miss this bus a ton! 875 is probably next!

I drive a 2016 IC and she has a nice little rear axle whine that's slowing getting louder each day I drive it.

High Point Central High School, though it's just the activity buses parked now and the rest are moved to Ragsdale.
Our 170 is a 2000 Thomas FS-65 with a CAT 3126 engine.

No air conditioning, wtf?
It’s odd because 8026 and 8030 don’t appear to have air conditioning whereas 8028 does and there are all 2006 Thomas FS65s, were 8026 and 8030 bought from another county or something?

@@MistyTheBorderCollie A few weeks ago, myself, my younger brother and my father went to Greensboro for a day trip and to meet up with one of my father's friends from college, this friend happens to be a former Thomas employee, we went to 2 high schools, Grimsley and another high school that I don't remember the name of, but at Grimsley we saw some pretty odd things, a C2 with Saf-Liner-C2 above the door, a C2 with a branded mudflap, a C2 with no rubrail on the end of the skirt, and in the other lot we saw 8026 and I noticed that it had no condensers on either side, BTW are there plans for any FS65s to be converted into activity buses?
Maybe it's a situation similar to Beaufort and Carteret Countries, let me know your thoughts.

Thanks! lol Got the police called on me like, 20 minutes after I took that video and some photos of that bus though. Quite traumatizing if you ask me, but this ain’t the first time it happened. But otherwise, it is a nice bus.

@@ICCE105 Yeah, fr. I’m tired of people snitching on me over a hobby I enjoy. I understand it might be unusual, but it’s not hurting anybody. I have some friends who have dealt with this too, so I know I’m not alone.

yooo uhh can u do a video of buses at Northwest Guilford Middle going out for pm? We leave around 3:40, come at 3:30 if u need time to prepare for recording. It’s just a suggestion u dont have to
@@Nickydaroblox67 I probably can’t do that since 1. I don’t do in-action videos of buses anymore, just audio clips now, and 2. I can’t do bus lots over 35 minutes away from where I live due to parent preferences (they take me for now).
