Flora is surprisingly similar to that in southern Japan. Evergreen oak trees and hedges, camellia blossoms, moderately growing grasses, some deciduous large trees, and above all, they are all shining with PLENTY OF SUNSHINE even in February.

My very favorite part of my favorite city, Charleston - White Point Garrdens, the Battery and East Bay over to the beautiful Pineapple Fountain in Water.front Park. Living in that general neighborhood would be heaven! I have stayed at the nearby Vendue Inn on Vendue Range to be close to the fountains, swings on the pier, and Rainbow Row and this whole great area. Hearing the church bells as you walked west on Broad Street was nice - to the 4 Corners of the Law. I love Washington Square Park to take a break in as well. Walking up Meeting Street to the Market and Chrleston Plave, the C of C Arena and onyp M Arion Square was nice, you. It I'd just amazing to witness the architectural splendor of this fine city. Thanks for sharing!

The park at 48:08 was the site of the old Greyhound Bus station. Those of us stationed at the air base with no car took the Greyhound into the city on weekends. Many changes since 64-66, all for the better. Charleston is now one of America's gems. It recaptured its historic past and charm while still being modern. Made the 'bucket list' visit several years ago, told my wife, 'if Charleston was like this when I was stationed here, we would not have met in Chicago".
