did this on my old grain truck. Stuff is awesome! one tip i figured out was just use a microfiber towel. Its much easier to control the runs with that vs a brush. Awesome car!

If you're gonna run a 455, use a Pontiac not an Olds. More performance (i.e., SD-455) and its a drop in fit because the car's a Pontiac, not an Olds.

383 stroker for mechanical simplicity. You could also buy a new hood for about $400 and cut a hole in that one and save the original.

Buy a used / new hood that you don’t care about cutting and for sure use the 383 with the blower

The Olds 455 (rocker hood added later) with the 400 Hydromatic Turbo trans plus a posi rear end is what my 1980 Firebird had. Bronze paint, T-tops, the turbo hood and a 350 under the hood when I first bought the car. The 350 only lasted a few days. I miss my car!
