Casting Speed reforge, Erg, and Vivace are the main factors. Without trying to sound too entitled, I feel that S50 on wand is just something everyone should be doing if they want good endgame damage. 15% final damage for the price of mainly leathers and sig armor is an incredible return on value when you consider something like a Destructive Robe (which is actually a solid return on itself) costs like 10x more for similar damage increase. In other words, the casting speed from erg is a given because it comes from naturally increasing your damage sources. So with S50 being the baseline, a decently high CS reforge and cheap Vivace set will let players reach cap casting speed.

@@roalenag gotcha, there was this Celtic wand with a MA but 13/20 casting speed. I don’t think I can ever afford a Nightbringer elementalist but definitely I’ll start investing into Perseus and try to get my first erg 50. I was playing around with a fully upgraded Celtic tribolt for awhile but it still felt a little slow compared to your videos and realized erg was the missing factor. Hopefully one day I’ll reach a 10 minute theta lolll

You say 40 ping gap as you play in 40 ping or 40 ping above something? Because that casting speed seems outstanding for me lol But maybe actually due to Nexon awful connectivity that Im always so slow on the ping side, around 100 but feels like 200++ Also, would a Staff DD be able to do something similar as soloing this? Im a returning player so idk much about current content

@@wiljosabre I play on 40 ping, if you watch players from overseas you can see even faster bolt or magnum spamming :) My first fusion bolt video was done on 70+ ping and it was alright considering I wasn't using a destructive robe. I'd say any higher than that and you'd probably be doing half the damage before even considering the gear gap. There's a sub 2 minute clear video on youtube that someone posted way back when DD first released so I'd imagine clear times would be even shorter for staff DD as well now.

@@roalenag I don't get how someone from farther away would have higher spamming if it means more ping, it's measured by the distance of your connection to the server. But anyways good to know DD has a very well respected potential differ8ng from Pro mages a while back that they required top notch gear and sub 50 ping to be this powerful vs current content haha

Rage Impact Cooldown is the most reliable for consistent damage, with the added benefit of being able to stun mobs more often. If you feel confident in your own dps uptime to bring out ego resets, or the parties you play with have a lot of other EKs who can also Rage Impact, you can opt for Combat/Sword Mastery or Windmill Range/Damage. Windmill Damage is pretty minimal I feel you should only consider it if you have dual mastery rolled gloves, in addition to the considerations above.

The Glow Effect graphic setting? I think I turned it off back when Glenn HM first released because I could not see red circles on dayside and never really bothered to turn it back on :)

It's a skill called "Blow." It can temporarily stop enemies' movements.

@@brianzhu3784 Besides upgrading to an x3d cpu, I’ve found that doing solo content or duo glenn is smoother. In 8p glenn runs the frame drops are pretty noticeable.

@@brian-lau The game doesn’t give you enough pets for free at the start to do that, but buying pets that drop to 5m during gachas is completely worth it. Otherwise you can just frozen blast which lasts far longer than any pet to freeze salamanders and ice slimes. S is just a decent option for mid game weapons, anything like a demo or ruin bow should be R upgraded.

@@Leddiux This setup is with a Nightbringer Berserker and Destructive Robe, so it would probably do over twice the damage of a one handed setup unfortunately.. That setup will probably be fine for Hard Techs but not anything above. Even with the crazy expensive gear cost it’s only just better than a human with a Divine Blade, so price per performance goes out of the window for EK elves :(

@@roalenag I am willing to try anything to make endgame melee elf since it isn't really viable in most people's eyes. I like the set up and have been bouncing between the axe or the one-handed hammer as a MAIN melee. as they both have 1 pierce level.

I'm not sure what traits mean.. my best guess is that you meant Techniques? If so, I use all 5 slots, and I have the current techniques displayed at the top left in the middle of my hotkeys. It's quite unfortunate that I cannot really increase my protection, this is why a giant would be so much better :( I only turn off mana shield when I have the axe equipped, and turn it back on while using other weapons for debuffing. I don't think the auto attacks will crit that much, so it's just the purple circle crits that hurt a lot. The only way around this is using invincibility frames, dodging, or Wings of Eclipse.

Placing skills on hotkeys that make sense, and spending many hours using them. I definitely would not have been able to manage this few weeks ago when I hadn't touched EK for a long time, because EK has way too many skills to use. As for all the debuffing, that comes from years of experience and eventually got ingrained into me.

@@roalenag Ohh I see, I still have much to learn. I only recently have gotten EK and I'm trying to mix it with puppetry. I love the combo you do with Windmill and shattering windmill. Even using just regular smash is something I haven't considered. Thank you.

There are different types of pets that can freeze enemies (like in the top bar that has sheeptuplets, tuans, and jacks. Basically these pets can chain freeze enemies as long as they aren’t the same type, so alternating between these can permanently bind freezable enemies, provided you have enough pets. For enemies that can’t be frozen, bone dragons are the most commonly used ones because they have the longest stun.

This is the version of Mabinogi that I play, so it might be different from the American version. This person might have placed the urgent skill on the "=" button to monitor the cooldown time. You can assign skills using the hotkey settings under Options - Game - Controls - Hotkey Settings, where you can set "Use 1st~9th skill in skill window" to assign up to 9 skills in the order they appear in the skill window. I personally use buttons like G, X, E, A, and D to assign skills and use them.

Most of the keys to the right of F8/8 are assigned to mouse keys, so I'm actually pressing it with my mouse. I've seen other players put down skills to check cooldowns which is a smart choice too, which I've tried before but had to revert because I didn't have enough hotkeys :(

Most players can just put uppercut debuff reforges on their fighter set and find it perfectly fine. Fighter sets probably still have a place when minmaxing though. Knuckle damage will be buffed with the Rage Impact update in the future, and using knuckles more often will increase the chances the Knuckle ego skill Lucky Strike activates (10 additional prot debuff), which in theory would increase your overall EK and knuckle dps.

Yes, Theta has been out for a couple of years I believe, you need to be 30k total level as well.

It got changed with the update that dropped the same day this vid was posted to act more like support shot does now. This means the bonus damage is less, but it affects all melee damage for a few seconds.

There’s been a few Rage Impact changes recently, some which we haven’t gotten yet. 1. When DD/AS were released, it was changed to only be overwritten by melee attacks, so ranged attacks wouldn’t cancel it. 2. Rage Impact is changed to a lasting debuff on the enemy (like support shot) and has its aoe increased. We don’t have this yet since this was added in the EK buff update recently in KR. Unchanged by any of these however is that Rage Impact has always taken a split second to apply, so Support Shotting immediately after does not get rid of Rage Impact’s one time buff.

There's always Saint Guardian's Full Armor with 25 protection. That with S50 2h sword, avatar of balance title, holy flame protection on everything, and a doll bag combo that gets +5 protection - can get you a total of 140-145 protection (depending if you have Honest/Saving enchants) without messing around with reforges. I've heard that Imperial Knight Armor can actually work against you in some places like Tech Duinn with the set reforges it has. Plus the attack speed from Saint is nice. So if you are on a budget and prefer protection, go Saint. If you got all the gold and money in the world and that's no problem go Bulwark especially if you don't mind reforge and enchant hell. lol. Personally I'm keeping my Saint armor and I'm going to replace my boots/gloves/head with skirmisher pieces, which will increase my protection and attack further while netting me piercing resistance. With scythe talent coming out in KR and then eventually here, EK's are going to be set. Either way I think you did really awesome in there regardless.

That’s a cool setup, thanks for sharing! Because there’s so many combinations for EK it’s interesting to see what others have. Personally I found the damage amplification from imperial gloves and support shot the most important so it only left me with a hat and armor slot :( From my theta solos I’ve found that if the fight drags on any longer than 6 minutes it becomes far more difficult to pull off a clear which is why I try to get all the damage I can, which the imperial knight armor conveniently provides. I was also skeptical of the Unshakable Will effect when it first came out, but after using it for a long time I’ve concluded that anyone (including myself in the past) who says the armor can work against you is misled, because any decent player will make some effort to dodge attacks and not just stand in a spot to die :D

I put in the weapon stats in every video I upload, including the amount of pierce, it’s in this one as well. Also for something like Feth with weaker enemies that get one or two shotted, a drobe will not make a difference for the majority of 3p Pallid ruin bow players, because with Exploit Weakness they’d have 8 pierce, meaning a drobe only would give them 1 pierce or less than 5% damage.

@@Avink100 Ruin Bow (3), Pallid (3), Last Breath (1) adds up to 7p, so it should be 7p with just the bow alone. Buffs and debuffs are just as important as pierce, so other gear sets matter, like uppercut and death mark reforges. Also, this is just one good run (out of many) so it can seem fast just because it had luckier crits:)

You're probably missing one of: 40k total level Spirit Weapon left skill tree AS Link 5 (+100 max) and some totems or homestead figures and pet houses. I'm typically on GM bard, use a music duration amulet, and fate totem, so just from that alone I'm missing almost 70 max myself.

Also, theory-craft question. I started grinding for NB recently... Is the berserker strictly because elves can use it? Like if you were a human, would you want to Prio the max dmg of Berserker, over the Final Hit & Windmill buffs, since Dynavolt is main dmg?

You can add me in game. The Berserker's higher max is like 1 pierce worth of damage, so the Warlord's 3 additional pierce makes it the superior weapon. After the recent EK and rage impact changes, EK has less reliance on dynavolt smash than before (damage made more consistent across its entire skillset), so the Warlord's Windmill set effect is a considerable advantage as well.

Thanks, I've probably put in more time planning out my hotkeys than most other players (for better and for worse). What works best for me is assigning universal skills (ones you want to use all the time, regardless of gear set) to the skill window slots in your hotkey settings , so you can put them on keys like Q, E, R, Z, X, C, etc. Things like anchor rush, deathmark, windmill, wind blast, so that you don't need to switch to another skill tab, which is another hotkey. The F1~F5 keys are also good place to put these kind of skills. If you want to use additional skill tabs, like I did with puppets, you can place the skill you'd likely use the first/most on the number you swap to the skill bar with. Like in this video, Alt+2 to switch to puppet bar, then 2 to summon the puppet. Summon pets, friend summons, desummon on Ctrl+any left sided key. It's easier if these are all on the same modifier, that way you can just hold down the modifier to summon, friend summon, and desummon. ..Yeah there's probably more to it but that should be a good start. Spending time laying out hotkeys like this definitely makes it easier to press them. Also a mouse with many side buttons also helps a lot, because it opens up the F8~F12 or 8~= keys as options.

One of the problems I have with using hotkeys from skill menu is that my menu never wants to save the order I place the skills in, even when I try to force it to save through logging out, but the pet hotkeys and swapping skill bars with alt is something I should be able to implement with practice. Only the first 9 skills in the skill window can be saved, otherwise it looks like you'd need to submit a ticket.
