BBC Radio made an audio drama of "Fatherland" starring Anton Lesser. It is amazing, with the same creeping atmosphere of anxiety, terror, and danger. I recommend this audio presentation of this amazing book.

I found the book to be narrated well enough, but the battle situations a bit unbelievable. It seemed every time Gray Death was in trouble, the clouds would part, rays from heaven would shine down and his enemies would just fall before him. I would have appreciated a longer struggle to build his forces with more failures rather than the complete ineptitude that was shown by the local enemy. It really sets up the next book in the series poorly for combat expectations and puts too heavy of a reliance on Gray Death as the savior of everything. In short, it is a typical 80's power fantasy.

Giving too much of the book in the beginning a review should be your thoughts about it I’m trying to decide if the book is worth picking up not have the whole thing summarized so it’s not worth reading

I read Red Storm Rising in the 80s when the Cold War was still rolling. I loved it. But I could see why it's not been made into a movie. For one, it was as Cold War-centric as can be, and there was no Jack Ryan in it. I still think it could work as a fascinating what-if scenario film. A friend of mine knew Tom Clancy, and as he is a prominent person and worked at a high level in intelligence, I can't say who he is, but he said the man was absolutely brilliant. One of the smartest people he had ever known.

Which is better tom Clancy locked on or tom Clancy against all enemies

When it comes to Star Trek the Star Trek books novels are kind of a timeline all its own really

I've read all 5 of the books that have been released in the US and I have to say, this is one of my favorite fantasy series! They were all fantastic! It is so hard to put down once you start reading them. I'd have to say book 2 was my favorite out of all of them. It definitely wrapped up all the threads book 1 started and and such a satisfying ending that I wish it ended there to be honest. I've never been a fan of bittersweet endings and that's exactly what things become starting at book 3. Book 3 was great but was my least favorite. All the good that was done in book 2 was unfairly taken away and destroyed in book 3. Tungdil became a sort of selfish hero and made some bad decisions that just made me shake my head in disappointment. It was good that he was redeemed and became like the Tungdil of books 1 and 2 in book 5. I often wonder if Markus really intended to end it all at book 4 or if he always planned to continue the series. Everything that happened in book 4 was pretty much explained well in book 5 to the point where it all seemed planned. Regardless, I truly love this series and so look forward to book 6!!!
