I've always wondered if humans could adapt to fire
The healthiest forest I've seen was near Payson in the Diamond Point area. The trees were very evenly spaced and there was little to no brush at all.

I JUST GOT BACK FROM ARIZ AND THE DESTRUCTION FROM THE FIRES IS SAD TO SEE... IM BACK IN N.Y. NOW AND THERE IS ENOUGH RAIN HERE TO PREVENT TNE KIND OF DESTRUCTION WE SEE OUT WEST.......... N.Y. IS 70 % FOREST.............. MOSTLY GREEN......MIXED CONIFER AND HARDWOOD..
The flagstaff area has the unhealthy type forest. What is being done to improve the health of the forest? I see a lot of trees being cut down in certain areas
we need to log & thin ,replant when and where appropriate. tree lovers love trees to death.True lovers don't mess around
That's not a burl, more like reaction to fungal or bacterial attack, a canker or such?
Looks more like a canker than a burr.
Id love to turn that burl on my lathe :)
Depends man... Some people pay good money for burls. But its like a collectors item, its not worth anything until someone pays for it. For me, it would be worth the time to go get it but I'd never pay for one. But then again I'm pretty cheap so meh. oregonburls.com/ Check out what this company does, maybe you'll be inspired.
