Here is where we do a new style travel vlog with a slightly different concept. I look at things differently, but then I have different experiences than what you may have.
I like hotels, architecture, design, and history. I like aesthetics, big machines and technology.
Instead of taking photographs and storing them in a box or the cloud, instead of trying to find time to write a diary, and instead of forgetting all of my experiences (I wish I had done this 20 years ago), these are my "personal" videos. They help me to remember the experiences, the mood. My own way.
While I'm never satisfied with these videos, I think of something else to do and add each time. Allow me to perfect my craft. It is a somewhat new channel. So Subscribe.

Pulaski Tennessee Home of Sun Drop, Turkey's, a rocking chair and an elephant!
I go to Pulaski Tennessee. Where we just missed the Sun Drop festival. This town is in South Central Tennessee in the rolling hills. It's a pretty large town, with a beautiful 1904 courthouse.
I look at some buildings. I spot a few turkey's around town. I get tempted by a giant rocking chair. And then I go into a very large department store, complete with original flooring and offices!
And then I go to "Food Store". The best name for a supermarket, which was really nice and cold. Complete with an Elephant.

I live here in leeds. I have been living here for the last 25 years. I love it.
To give context. The mall straddled 2 cities, Mountain Brook and Homewood. MB is one of richest communities in the south and Homwood in itself is a nice middle class neighborhood.
Been laid off 17 times in 25 years. Normal for me. Stick them where it hurts - quit consuming.
The Mid City area was a large indoor mall space that was demolished to make room for all the new buildings.😊 When you’re back this way, check out Town Madison. Another “destination area” west of Huntsville. It’s where the Trash Panda baseball stadium is located. There are probably two other area planned to become the “next Providence” on the edges of Huntsville. Still don’t know what they will named, but the land is already in development.
Thanks, must've been a big mall. I purposely stayed in Providence to see what it was like because most New Urbanism I've seen are small and boring, but Providence was really nice and didn't seem lacking like others are. Found mid-city by chance because of the Superchargers. I read recently about more progress in Mid-City, so now this video is going out of date and I need to come back.

The problem here is that both parties have identical economic policies, as well as identical international policies. Obama, Bush, Clinton, McConnel, Biden, Pelosi... identical. The only difference is that the Dems cater to upper middle class voters and minorities, and the Republicans cater to social conservatives and the Walmart crowd. Difference in PR, not policy
I don't disagree, they are the same, but I wouldn't use the word cater. Pander is more like it, but neither does that much for their pandered with the exception of one or two people in each.

Truthfully there is monetary policy-set by the fed, and economic policy, set by congress. If economic policy implements high spending, monetary policy has to be tight. If economic policy is overly conservative, monetary policy is stimulative. Just another layer of checks and balance. But a single politician won’t have an impact, you need a majority. In this current age and time, the majority is in favor of spending and not cutting for fear of being unpopular. So the middle class is vaporizing, the lower class is growing due to middle class shrinking, and rich are getting richer because of all of the stimulus trickling up to them from the bottom via stimulus and consumption.

Years ago, my husband was working part time with enough hours for medical insurance. You guess it, they cut his hours so he couldn’t qualify for medical insurance. This was at a city college.
I had a gig that was cut back to meet the part-time threshold too when they added that law. This is when I learned that food stamps isn't a safety net program for regular people. You can afford rent but not food, or food but not rent. You make too much for assistance, but you don't have enough for both. What a wonderful system (along with other things I learned).

What makes me mad is that I never heard of a thing where you don't get PTO paid out unless it's a state law. Another way to nickle and dime. I was supposed to have off that week paid, instead I'm off unpaid. Then there's holiday, no severance, and a way to not even get a bonus because the owners made a few bad risky deals away from their core competency. Bonus would've been a good severance at least.

@@tsdobbi I never heard of such an excuse and I just looked up and I never even lived in a state that required the payout. But I've always gotten the payout and always counted it as a matter of fact. I wonder when corporate America discovered this little perk. The company and everyone was based in a state that requires a PTO payment. I lived in a state that did not. So I would be the only one not getting it assuming a high turnover! To penny pinch on one person and only one person.......

Great video, btw. I worked at the Farrell's Ice Cream Parlor on the lower level of the mall as a senior in 1975 and it was a spectacular place. It was the first time I'd ever had a Chick-Fil-A, chicken salad sandwich...which they don't make anymore...even though Farrell's made awesome deli sandwiches too! The current gens don't know what they're missing. We had strife and tumult within society back then as well, but nothing like the upheaval of today.

I’m 20 years old, and I’m a native to the area. I’ve been going to this mall my entire life with my family, and I loved it. I never forget the many times I sat on Santa’s lap as a kid during Christmas here, because they always had a Christmas event going on. Or the times when I’d go up the elevator directly to the chick fil a on the second floor. Or the times i got books at books a million across the mall. It’s so sad to see this knowing that things were totally different not even 10 years ago.

When I was using MTS they would occasionally put an older style trolley in service, with nice upholsered seats. I wonder if that's still the case.
One of these clips was filmed while waiting for that trolley! Their website claimed they do this, but it did not come. Maybe they don't bring them out on certain event days or the last one of the day came early, but I never got a chance to see it.
@@jeffvisitstheearth597 It’s supposed to run on weekends, but it seems it often doesn’t run due to various issues. I tried to ride it recently and it wasn’t there- maybe service has been cut since the website was last edited. Cool that you saw an SD-100 though, they’re pretty rare to see these days!
