WASHDAY ROUTINE | How to bring your curls back to life | GIVEAWAY 🎉 | Indian clay mask |
Hey guys and welcome back! I just wanted to start off by saying I am so grateful for each and every one of you that continuously show support. Whether it’s through liking, subscribing , commenting or sharing. I can’t believe we hit 1,000 subscribers and counting! To show my appreciation I will be doing a hair product give away!🥰 All details on how to enter will be in the video above.
In today’s video I’m also going to be showing y’all the 4 steps I take to revitalize my hair after being away in a protective style for weeks.
STEP 1: Pre-poo/ Detangle 🪮This step is so important because it is going to set the tone for your wash day. I highly recommend because it’s going to make your hair much more manageable and wash day quicker!
STEP 2: 🫧Double cleanse🫧You want to find a good clarifying shampoo that’s going to help remove all that dirt and product build up that’s been accumulating over the past couple of weeks ( Aussie moist + Mielle rosemary and mint and my favs🤍)
STEP 3: Hair treatment/Mask🧴 This time I choose to use the Indian healing clay mask ( my fav🤍) You can do a protein treatment, hot oil, DIY hair mask. Whatever works for YOUR hair. This hair treatment is going to help restore the moisture back into your hair so it’s hydrated! Our hair tends to get so dry and brittle and we want to do everything we can to avoid breakage!
STEP 4: Deep condition. I know you’re thinking💭💭 If we did a hair mask why do we need to deep condition. Just think when you do your skin care routine. First we cleanse our face. Then we’ll do a mask. After we add all our oils and moisturizers to add hydration back into our skin. It’s the same for our hair!

    I went natural and followed only what made sense. I didn't throw my shampoos away,in order to buy sulphate free I am using up all my products which I have still. My hair is wat past the middle of my back. And I cut off all my hair. Do what works for you and your hair

    Yeah all methods can’t work on everyone’s hair. It’s just not possible. My hair can’t do the washing once a week. My hair is not dense, it’s porous also. So I do better with a little buildup or product over lap. Now I can wash it every 2 weeks to once a month just fine. My hair definitely loves water/ moisture and oils. ❤

    Wow!! I've never heard that. I thought the co-wash was just for quick cleaning between full washes and deep conditioning. I really only used co-wash with my braids and I went to the pool or the beach . It's shameful that folks were passing that misinformation around. Back when everybody was natural and only got press and curls, we washed our whole head. I've been natural for 13 years. I keep my hair cut short and it will not act right without some good old fashioned hair grease on my scalp. Reminds me of my teenage years and how I got my Jerry curl to snap back after washing by oiling my scalp.

  • @Kimillions
    @Kimillions หลายเดือนก่อน

    Yes! 👏🏽 Great tips, but if I may: When parting to create your halfs, make it as straight as possible (no hair crossing over into the next section) and slightly vary the size of the "halves" each wash (slightly off center). This is because over time, you may see breakage near the center. For example: you know all those trendy hair cutting videos with the girls missing that center portion of hair when it's against the cape, or it's significantly shorter? Well, almost every stylist says it's due to the client wearing ponytails. Well, that simply isn't true. Ponytails would cause breakage all along and toward the perimeter where tension is greatest. Tension is actually LEAST in the middle. That breakage comes from dividing your hair down the center to wash and detangle it. Near that part, if there are any stray hairs crossing over, no matter how gentle you're washing/detangling, are highly likely to snap. I could go on, but this is already becoming quite lengthy. 😅 Hope this helps 🫶🏽
