      How was the trigger, do you have any other da/sa pistols to compare it to.?

      @Arkansawnorthwoods 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@steven3379 I can’t really think of one that I have shot that’s particularly similar but, it’s by far the nicest stock trigger in a pistol I have tired so far. The double action is smooth and light enough that there isn’t a huge noticeable difference between sa and da like there is with most others. The single action is very crisp and the amount of travel for reset is pretty dang short

    The simple answer is yes. It's the only Glock I've kept. I added the Pearce +1 to the two mags I was running. Then a bit later I got a killer clearance deal on the FAB 10-round extensions and bought two additional mags to put them on. They work great. The gun shoots great.

    I don’t care what anyone says. The Ruger Mini 14 amd Mini 30 are far superior to any AR-15 simply because it’s more reliable,cleaner,accurate,better material,more versatile. People swear that AR-15’s are the best but there are to many faulty parts,they’re very jammy,harder to get one that is top of line out of the box from one manufacturer,top of the line parts are extremely expensive especially barrels and triggers. You buy a AR for $350 and a trigger system cost more than the rifle. The mini 14 has a high performance trigger right out of the box.

    • @nicks2581
      @nicks2581 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      These are very good points. I am still trying to figure out how anyone makes a quality AR for $500 like I see everyone claiming. Try pricing out an upper with a cold hammer forged barrel. PSA has one of the cheapest and it is near $500 by itself. A quality charging handle and bcg will cost an extra $200 to $300. An Aero cold hammer forged barrel (just the barrel) is around $300.

    • @nightrider1850
      @nightrider1850 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Your remarks about the AR15 platform are B.S. The Mini14/30 are great rifles. I still have the first year production stainless Mini14 I got way back when. I had it out on the range a few days ago along with my Colt M4. Both are excellent shooters. I hit the 30 inch steel plates constantly with both. Both will hold the black on the CMP reduced 100 yard target. I don't know what the Mini14 will do with an optic because it has no provision for mounting one. That's not an issue because it doesn't need one. I've often told the Mini14 to stop shooting so well because everyone says you can't. I shoot for hits not groups on a rifle like the Mini14 or M4. A hit is a hit if the second hit is 4 inches away from the first hit, that makes very little difference to what you hit as a hit is a hit is a hit. I have other types of rifles that I shoot groups with along with my loads tailored for each rifle. Not only the US but several other NATO and none NATO countries issue the M16 in one configuration or the other, not the Mini14. There are substandard AR15 rifles on the market at low prices that aren't even worth what you'd pay for them, you get what you pay for. Most failures are caused by magazine issues in a good AR15. The AR15 is a rifle that can be built to suit yourself at similar to what you pay for the factory rifles. Not so with the Mini14. The Mini14 gets hot quickly. It won't stand up to the higher volume of fire that the AR15/M16 will, it wasn't designed for that. The newer tactical models look cooler but won't do any better. I've used both my Mini14 and Mini30 rifles in both 3 gun and tactical matches before. They did well because you don't fire enough rounds in any stages of the matches to over heat them. I've always prefered the Mini14/M14 type rifles because of the way they balance and feel in my hands. These are really great and fun rifles to own and shoot, however in a SHTF/WROL environment I'd have to go with the M4 as a personal defense rifle. Magazines, parts, ammunition would/should be your primary concern in such a situation because if you call 911 you won't get an answer. The National Guard, regular Armed Forces will be deployed defending the major cities and infrastructure not us little people. We would all be very desirable targets of opportunities for criminal Predators and starving people desperate for supplies. Nobody's coming to help you so you need to have enough spare parts, magazines,ammunition on hand to get through the night until better days come back. I don't think I'd pick my Mini14 over my M4 if I found myself in a deep shit situation along with some of my friends and neighbors trying to stand of a roving gang of looters trying to take what we have like the contractors at the US consultant in Libya. That is a very real scenario that any group of people would likely find themselves in if conditions like that dragged on for several months. We all pray something awful like that would ever come to pass on a nationwide scale, but you have to understand that in the deeply divided and troubled times we are living in not just in America, but the world you can't think it could never happen here. Being prepared for something to a rational person doesn't mean you want or expect it to happen. You do so because you still want to be around when it's over.

      @@nightrider1850 I wish you were my next door neighbor. Good points. The odds of needing spare parts for a mini-14 are exceptionally low, unless you some how lose the parts. But, you are correct, availability of parts will be nearly non-existent for a mini. The AR is an excellent platform for modularity, but it is almost a requirement to have at minimum a spare charging handle and spare BCG. But, parts are everywhere and buying extra parts is easy right now. Hordes of assailants requiring sustained projectile use wouldn't be my concern though. In all likelihood those hordes would self immolate prior to reaching your door step. The real issue will be lone wolves scoping you out until the right time, organized well equipped gangs, and wolves organized into maurading patrols. Two of these groups would likely try to take you at distance when you least suspect it. In any of these cases sustained projectile use still would not happen. Even if it did, the odds of making it unscathed are not likely. I wish more people took things serious enough to at least plant a garden and learn to can.
