React content
I recently saw a video from a random ecommerce youtuber talking about how the new META (most effective tactic available) for making money on youtube efficiently (As little time investment as possible while maximizing income) is to simply take content from other creators that is already trending (so you save needing to ACTUALLY come up with the video yourself, let alone MAKING IT) and just react to it occasionally adding some commentary with minimal editing.
Along with this you make a thumbnail and title combo that doesn't insinuate it's reaction content AT ALL, and simply do a switchero so that because people want to be informed anyway they end up just watching YOUR REACTION instead of the original piece of content.
I think this is quite sad because the artists and filmmakers get punished for putting more effort in while lazy famous people get to sit on their ass shit out react content and do better than the original piece.
You should live your own life to begin with but if you insist on consuming a piece of entertainment do so directly, don't give money to lazy people.
Socialize more so that you're not so lonely that your only "socialization" is watching someone else watching someone else play a video game or whatever -.-

I used to think I was special. I used to be very delusional haha, glad I woke up to my ego. I will work harder on staying disciplined PAST motivation because your ability to "work" is not determined by how much you get done while you want to get things done, but by how long you can keep going, when every fiber of your being is telling you to stop and distract yourself. Obviously this is gonna be somewhat different for everybody, but what would you say are some techniques you've personally found effective for your lowering happiness baseline?

    • @uanne
      @uanne 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This is actually based on Dr Andrew Heberman’s podcast where he talked about dopamine and the dopamine baseline. An effective way to lower it is to avoid instant gratification activities that give you a high spike in dopamine immediately and then fall off, and instead opt for meaningful work that leads to a desired outcome, that way you worked for it and any amount of the work that was passable above the baseline is work that made you happy or in other words fulfilled. Or alternatively if you want to do something that spikes your dopamine you can artificially make yourself work for it by using it as a reward for the activity, like: I want to eat a bag of chips and an entire tub of icecream but in order to not mess up my dopamine baseline I’ll workout first. (Obviously it’s better not to do that but we’re all human, every once in a while it’s nice to be bad) Hope this helps 🫡❤️

    Happiness comes in many different ways. But I'll focus on the two major ones; short-term happiness aka dopamine and long-term happiness aka satisfaction/fulfillment. Dopamine is fleeting and impermanent, making one's life purpose to chase dopamine will lead to a ruined life. Fulfillment is taking helm of one's life, and being who you ought to be and doing what you ought to do. A fulfilled life will have no regrets, no hesitation if they made the right choices. However, living up to one's standard is hard, it requires present suffering for future rewards. I guess it depends if you want to be happy for a short time right now, or for the rest of your life tomorrow?

    • @attchi50
      @attchi50 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This is misleading. It is important to NOT put the criteria of happiness on achieving your goals because then you will NEVER be happy. The act of striving towards a goal is what makes us feel fulfilled. You need to drill this into your mind and body which is mainly done by completely distancing yourself from social media and the internet as much as you can because these are what determines our standards of what a “good life” looks like. This is drilled into us especially for later generations as we have been exposed to this our entire lives. It is incredibly difficult to rewire your brain for this. If you can then the dopamine you get in anticipation of having even just done the dishes will be a sufficient enough motivational drive. But there can also be dopamine connected in anticipation of just studying because shockingly you will begin to actually find what your studying be interesting rather than having to be in a perpetual state where you cannot find enjoyment in anything except intense dopamine addictive activities (drugs etc…). Although as mentioned in the video above this is obviously correlated with your dopamine baseline and if you have a low dopamine baseline the consequence of that will be that the anticipatory dopamine release for the long-term goal-driven activities will be adequate enough both as a motivational drive but also for being happy. Although people with dysthymia or other mental disorders this is different as they cannot get adequate anticipatory dopamine release for motivation or happiness. (Just my opinion obv you can criticize how you want)

    • @weasel-rp7td
      @weasel-rp7td 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @attchi50 I don't see why you think it's misleading. I concur with a majority of the things you said. Striving does give meaning to one's life. But strive for what? Goals, dreams, aspirations. Without those, striving would be meaningless, and hopefully one strives to accomplish their goals. That's why I stated it's important people take charge of their life and ask themselves truthfully who they are, what they want to be and the things needed to be done to get there.
