How to audition for a character that is younger or older than you are and NAIL IT!
Episode #13. How to look older or younger than you are to help you land that audition!
Some simple steps to increase your youthfulness or age without makeup!
Below is the link to the shoe lifts I ordered twice. We used them for Big Daddy in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (he was already 6’2” but these lifts took it to the next level!) and for Paul Bratter in Barefoot in the Park (they gave him just a couple of inches so he and our lovely, tall Corrie were almost the same height.) They worked great in both cases and the guys seemed to find them pretty comfortable!

Here’s one more pair that I’ll try next time because it gives 4 options for height!

My Oral Com class just watched this. (I'm the teacher.) We loved it! You're our new favorite! Seriously. I just stumbled upon your basket video when looking for 5-minute how-to speeches for them to watch. (Yours was #2 in the search results, by the way.) The kids found it very fun and entertaining, and I liked that you brought a lot of positive energy and enthusiasm but didn't polish the video itself (like with edit tricks and such). That makes it seem very doable for them - like it doesn't have to be perfect to be good. They were able to point out the things I had said to do (and even some small things that I warned them about: "Oh, she kind of had some dead air just then!" lol), so it worked really well to reinforce the lesson. They liked it so much, we decided to check out your channel. Then they wanted to watch other videos, like your one about nonverbals, which they LOVED. Anyway, good work, thanks for sharing, and know that I will be coming back to use this and other videos as supplemental materials in my own teaching.
