So... does this mean there 2 ways to test for continuity w/ that multimeter (via the DIODE setting & via the OMEGA setting)? I thought the DIODE setting was only for finding out whether a diode is working or not.

I have used 470 ohm , u can use any around 500 ohm..

Polarity of ammeter is alws aligned with the direction of current flow.
